Okay, so. I really liked the food here!! The menu is very limited, but everything was absolutely delicious. I'm not sure I'd call the wings life changing like some other reviewers, but they were very good- nice crispy skin, a good size, and the buffalo sauce was the perfect balance of spice with a hint of sweetness. The burgers were also great- a true, thin, smashburger with double patties and crispy bits on the edges. Ambiance inside is really cool. I love the decor, the colors, the artwork, and the way it has kind of an upscale dive bar feel. All of that said- we were very confused when we got here. We're not locals, and when we arrived we weren't sure we were even in the right spot. There was no Da Bubs signage outside, and nobody greeting customers, giving direction, or seating people- there wasn't even a sign inside to indicate whether we were supposed to seat ourselves. There was *one* ordering station for food with a long line that was moving realllyyyy slowly. That poor guy was trying to do food orders and drinks at the same time, and it seemed difficult for him to keep up. After a few confused minutes of checking outside, then inside, then Google to make sure we were at the right location, I realized Da Bubs is inside/the same spot as Le Dive Bar- and there is another bar upstairs (the name escapes me) that you have to go through the restaurant to get to. Better signage for all 3 spots outside would be appreciated! Our burgers took a while to come out, and when they did, the wings didn't come with them. I waited a few before I realized that the waitress had taken our number from the table- which meant they may not be on their way... so I tried to hunt someone down to ask whether the wings were coming. There was nobody available. The bartender was extremely busy between both food and drink orders, and the waitress had disappeared into the kitchen to chat with the cooks. I stood at the end of the bar trying to grab someone's attention for about 10 minutes before she came back out. Sure enough, the wings had been missed. By the time they brought them out, we were done with our burgers. I ended up taking most of them to go since we'd already been there quite a while. Overall, A+ on the food, the decor and ambiance. The experience was lacking.

    The lunch menu

Odd little place, when I walked in at noon on Wednesday I was confused because it looked like it was closed, I was the only person there ordering food. There were two employees, and me for about 45 minutes until a small group of people finally came in. The location is good, the restaurant is well thought out and has a comfortable "vibe", but it's shocking to see it so dead at the top of lunch. The smash burger I had was pretty good, needed more "stuff" and it was unclear what to expect from the menu. It had some sort of house made sauce that resembled apple butter but was very salty. Had I known that was coming I'd have passed for a more traditional setup (lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, mayonnaise, ketchup) but it wasn't the worst thing. I'd come back, but order more wisely.

Picked this place at complete random off of a small list that would be acceptable to my friend who is a picky eater. Was sat immediately as the place was empty. The decor looks like a combo bar tattoo shop run by eccentric martians. Ordered a nitro espresso martini, Marty burger, and foccacia bites. Everything was fantastic. The smashburger may have been the best smashburger I've ever had. The sauce was weird and a perfect balance to an incredibly crispy smash burger. The fries were extra crispy and perfectly seasoned. And the foccacia bites had a very unique garlic Caesar dip that I loved. The cocktail was also very good and strong, and everything was very reasonably priced. Cannot recommend this place enough. The burger alone was worth the price.

My husband and I went to Le Dive/Da Bubs in downtown Raleigh for a casual date night and we loved it! It has perfect upscale dive bar energy. The atmosphere is so cute and great for a date night or a girls night out. They even have a cute little photo booth. The staff was super nice as well. We ordered Da Marty burger and the One Bite Wings, and both were only $10 (which is amazing). Everything was so good and way above what you'd expect at that price. We're already dying to go back and try more off the menu. We also grabbed Da Shredder pizza to go and it was delicious. For drinks, I had an espresso martini and my husband had a beer. Overall, the pricing across the board was great, especially for downtown. We'll definitely be making this a regular spot for us and would absolutely recommend it.

    ONE BITE WINGS

So good! Flavorful and I love that they are one bite; easy to eat and meaty! I'll definitely get these wings again and again. Service was quick and the ambiance is a vibrant dive bar.

They weren't kidding when they said, "one bite and you're hooked!" The wings definitely lived up to the hype, and the pizza was absolutely amazing. The service was friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. Parking can be a bit challenging since it's located downtown, but the food is well worth it. Honestly, it's hard to believe this is considered bar food because everything was so flavorful and exceeded my expectations!

I loved my experience at this location. Service was amazing and I had one of the best smash burgers EVER! The aesthetics and style were impeccable! Thank you for your awesome hospitality on Sunday! I can't wait to try the other items in your menu

See no clue as to what they sell. Looks like they sell dog treats.

Wings were meaty but very dry. I did not get the spicy sauce so maybe that would have helped.

If you can't find parking on Person street I recommended parking on a side street and walking. Walking in the pizza shop has a cool, laid back, neighborhood vibe. To be seated you'll want to ask for an open table from the staff. Once seated we ordered a pitcher of Narragansett Pilsner and a small Caesar Salad (housemade dressing, lemon garlic breadcrumb, pecorino). The pils was excellent and wanted to order a little extra beer since it was the weekend. The Caesar was excellent and the portion was plenty of food for two people. For pizza we ordered a pizza with half sausage and half pepperoni. The pizza was huge and we definitely had to take 3/4s of it to go. The pizza itself was good and was a little heavier than I was expecting. If you are in the person street area and looking for pizza, I definitely would check out the Oakwood Pizza box.

Everything except the caesar was good. I guess we didn't expect the caesar to taste THAT charred and the lettuce to not be chopped. For main entrees, we ordered lasagna, lobster ravioli, penne alla vodka, and alfredo. The vodka pasta and lasagna were unflavored and disliked among the table. I would not recommend those dishes. The alfredo was okay. The best dish was the lobster ravioli.

"Best Pizza" many years running back when that actually meant something. Now? It feels less like a restaurant and more like a nostalgic reenactment gone very wrong. The menu still reads like a dream--Carolina crust this, atomic sauce that--but ordering has become a real exercise in imagination. Half the ingredients are apparently on a spiritual journey and no longer physically present. You'll ask for sharp cheddar and get a thoughtful pause, followed by, "We don't have sharp cheddar, we might have a Wisconsin sharp cheddar?" --which, to their credit, has the word "cheddar" in it. The staff move with the energy of a group project that everyone forgot was due today. Pizzas emerge... interpretively. You might order a margherita and receive something that captures its essence, emotionally, if not structurally. It's less "wrong order" and more "pizza as a suggestion." A master of creative problem-solving, this cashier has boldly redefined the concept of "making change." Why fumble with buttons and math when you can simply hand over two beers and call it even? It's less of a transaction and more of a surprise gift exchange--one where the rules are unclear and the outcome is mildly concerning. And the wine list--oh, the wine list--is a beautiful historical document. A relic. A time capsule from at least six months ago, when bottles still existed and hope flowed freely. Now, asking for wine feels like asking about a long-lost friend. "We don't have that," they'll say, gazing into the middle distance. Still, there's something oddly annoying about it all. Like walking into a once-revered theater that still clings to its golden-age reputation. The performances feel like echoes rather than art, the lighting flat where it once dazzled, and every scene drags with the weight of trying to live up to a forgotten past. It's not bad enough to be a disaster--just disappointing enough to make you wonder if the hype was ever real or if you're just eating the ghost of someone else's great experience. Cheers!
