This is a no frills kind of place and def reminds me of a place in upstate New York (where Buffalo wings were invented) Get the key west sauce. It is my favorite by a long shot and I don't know what is in their blue cheese - but it is everything!!! So I was hungry and was around the corner from here. Ordered the five piece special with all flats, extra crispy with medium/honey bbq. I also ordered jalapeño poppers with ranch (instead of sour cream), side of blue cheese and a drink. I get home and there was no ranch with the poppers nor was there blue cheese. The fries that came with the wings were not well done as asked and the wings were drenched in sauce that barely tasted like there was any honey bbq in it and were so far from crispy. I ate a couple of poppers and French fries, really unenjoyable. I don't know if my order was communicated wrong but I'm not planning on making a return trip here. read more

They have some of the best lemon pepper chicken wings in town. There is a reason why they always have a line for pick up outside. When I got there I saw about 6 people picking up food and multiple people placing orders so that was a great sign. I got a small order of lemon pepper with fries and it was more than enough food. The basket a curly fries was enough for two people. I ate five wings and took the test home for the next day. I warmed it up in the air fryer the next day and it was just as good as the day before. Host said to take any open table. Went to it and a short guy with tattoos told us that it's reserved for parties of 8 only. Love wings plus have eaten in the restaurant many times but I ordered take out today and paid 4.95 for macaroni salad and this is the portion I received on top of them forgetting the chips that were part of my order. I've ordered this in store and it was much larger I feel slightly ripped off. To top it off when we called to let them though about the issue the employee we spoke to was combative and defensive instead of trying to rectify the issue. Was here years ago but decided to get some delivered to watch the game. we got 2 kinds, chili Thai and honey bbq, both flavors were on point, cooked to perfection, more than enough sauce and consistency was just right, not too gooey and super moist. It had been a long time since having Wings Plus with coworkers. Their choices were not ours, so we played the cards we were dealt. This time, we made all the choices on 4th of July weekend, and were not disappointed! Wings Plus does such fantastic business that we found on Saturdays, they have to set up shop outside to take orders, accept payment, and hand out take-out. Inside is reserved for those who arrive early, and choose to dine-in. We had the bacon cheeseburger, buffalo shrimp, and a BLT. The burger contained no "rubber meat". You know "rubber meat", the parts of a burger that are chewy, and never break down no matter how much you chew. The buffalo shrimp were large, and spiced to our liking. Wings Plus has four levels of spice or heat for certain menu items. The BLT was okay. The bread seemed to had been toasted rather hard. I would give the full order a 93. Points off for putting potato chips bag inside the container with the burger instead of alone inside the plastic bag. Same with the BLT. And points off for the bread. Regarding service, it was excellent. The staff was friendly, and the time from order to receipt of food was less than 10 minutes! The only other place as busy as the restaurant was the FAMILY BARBER SHOP next door. The place was packed with family upon family upon family! Even family members not getting haircuts were in constant flux in and out of the shop! The holiday weekend spelled booming business for both places! Wings Plus is known for its wings, but you should also try its other fare. They also have a good lineup of sandwiches, as well as other items. I've always ordered my wings for pick up since I found out about this place during the pandemic. For pick up we normally call ahead of time so we don't wait for long. We still for some reason end up waiting. They have a wide variety of wing flavors to choose from which I like. We have been back at this Wings Plus just about every other week since they reopened the dining room post-COVID. The kids love their Kids Meal cheeseburgers which are large enough to satisfy all of them. We still have the Thai Chili & Garlic wings for our appetizer, and lately, I have just been having a large order of fries because I love to dip them in the wings sauce. Their Fish & Chips (Beer Battered Cod Filet) is still my favourite there since they do have the malt vinegar. We sometimes order the BLT & Belly Buster Hot Dog each with Onion Rings. This is probably one of my favorite wing places. There is such a variety of flavors that anyone would feel accommodated here. Tip: you can mix two flavors or ask for your wings to be split up into the two flavors. You can go crazy with the combinations haha There were three of us in total and we each got 10 wings. We split a pitcher of beer and fries. The fries are a large amount, we had plenty left over. You can tell the fries are homemade but I do suggest you add some salt and pepper to them if you get the plain ones I ordered half sweet & sour and half honey bbq. I have to say I was not a fan of the sweet & sour, it was not my kind of sweet. On the other hand the honey bbq was delicious. I had one of my boyfriends lemon pepper wings and that was like an explosion of flavor in my mouth. If you love lemon and pepper definitely give these wings a try. This place has the worst customer service that I have ever experienced and they seem low key racist. I ordered a 10 piece wing dinner, light lemon pepper and hot garlic. I received heavy lemon pepper, regular hot and cooked very hard, which was completely incorrect. I called to tell them that the order was wrong and asked for a refund. I was told exchange only so I drove 20 minutes to return the food. The owner looked at my order and agreed that it was incorrect. However, he still insisted "no refunds". At this point, I did not trust the integrity of their food and did not want an exchange. We discussed this for over 10 minutes then he said "I'll give you a refund but you bullied me". I'm a 5 foot 4 woman, I never raised my voice or cursed. I was direct but not rude. Then another worker walked over and told me that it's best if I never come back (which obviously could have gone without saying). TLDR: Food - 7 Service - 8 Decor - 8.5 Price - 7 Would I go back? I wouldn't go out of my way for it, I would opt for a closer option. I was over in the area getting my car serviced and with another 2 hours before captain marvel starts, it only made sense to go find some food. You cant go wrong with chicken wings and with a quick Yelp search, this place was half a mile away and it had good ratings. Upon arriving, the place was larger than I expected and I liked the overall look and feel. It was your typical sports bar with a large bar area and TVs that covered all of the walls with sports. I peeked at some menu items, but the focus was wings and I almost got distracted from that by all of the other options. Overall, I felt wings were a little pricey, coming in at a bit over 1$ each, plus an extra charge for special sauces and/or grilled, flats, drums, and extra sauce. I will say, they had a decent selection of sauces and what will bring me back is the chance to try more, as well as some other items on the menu. I tried a few different flavors, which were jerk, raspberry garlic, keywest, sweet chili, and lemon pepper medium. Sweet chili and keywest were easily the top two, followed by jerk then lemon pepper medium and in last was the raspberry garlic. Raspberry garlic sounded interesting, but it didn't turn out too good. The raspberry was sweet and the garlic was essentially the prechopped stuff you get out of a jar and it ended up being more of a sweet and weird taste. If I were to get raspberry again, then it would need to be paired with something salty or spicy to help balance it out. The jerk seasoning had too much of a vinegar taste for me, but I'm used to home made jerk spice rubs, so I can't overly expect anything that wasnt set out to be a Jamaican restaurant. Lemon pepper medium was a little on the salty side, but keywest and sweet chili were both excellent. Our server was cool. He was energetic and recommended a few different types of wings/sauces. My only complaint was that at one point I felt like we were forgotten even though the restaurant wasn't all that busy. read more

As much as I love Wing Plus I am leaning towards not liking them as much. Why? Because their customer service is beginning to lack. I have been supporting Wing Plus during the COVID pandemic. I have been consistently going there for take out. Lately, the women their have been getting upset if I don't leave a tip. I understand its hard times and tips are very much appreciated considering thats what they work for. I don't mind tipping and I usually leave a tip when I dine in somewhere or place a take out order. But there workers need to be reminded that its hard time for many people. So many people have been affected by this pandemic and besides leaving a generous tip. Simply supporting the business and keeping its doors open should be well much appreciated. And since they seem not to appreciate me supporting the business I will gladly take my money somewhere else. read more

When it comes to Buffalo chicken wings that are done exactly the way and with the same taste and flavor that Teressa Bellissimo did them when she first created this delicious dish and recipe back in 1964, Wings Plus is the place. They use the original 1918 version of Jacob Frank's red hot sauce, just as Teressa did, for the base of heat and flavor. For their blue cheese dip, however, one of a very special thick made in house "secret recipe" of the owner which is far and above better than I've found served up in any of the other "wing joints," particularly superior to most of those that chinch around or cheapen by using that crappy commercial out of the bottle blue cheese salad dressing. As you can probably tell, I'm a real fan of Buffalo chicken wings and honored to be able to say that I knew Teressa and had many a delightful meal of the wings she prepared for me at her Anchor Bar on Main Street in Buffalo. Besides the Buffalo chicken wings, I also had their new to the menu "Cod Nuggets." Though commercially prebreaded, the breading was very good and the cod inside most and exceedingly fresh to the taste. Wings Plus also has a great beer selection, the Belgian Ale my favorite, and the restaurant itself evokes all of the general décor and ambiance of what one might expect in a restaurant specializing in chicken wings. The big added plus to it all, being that the staff consists of some of the friendliest, almost treating you as if a family member, as well as being helpful, competent and polite. Because of Wings Plus friendly staff, the fact that they serve a true to the original Buffalo wing and have uniquely kicked a few things up a notch with their homemade, thick, rich and tasty blue cheese dip, I'm going Five Stars for it as, to me when it comes to Buffalo wings, it's superior to the area's others. read more

3.5 Rating With just hearing about Wings Plus for the first time, we have been hooked for the past 4 weeks, coming atleast once a week and raving about their wings until the past two visits. This location is the original Wings Plus that first opened over 30 years ago. This restaurant as a whole has the friendliest customer service that makes you feel overly welcome! The best seat in the house is at the bar. You can watch the cooks and all the take out orders that come through! (Which is an abundance and can be very entertaining!) They also have delivery~ The decor looks like it hasn't been changed in over a decade but it wouldn't be the same without it. My husband and I actually discussed this on one our first visits saying that it would loose the charm of the place if they did any kind of facelift. The best part of the dining room is the old two person sit down arcade game that they have and still works!! The prices can't be beat! We always start with a large pitcher of Bud Light for $7.50 which includes our first two glasses out of the draft instead of our pitcher! Now this is where my rating has decreased. If I had wrote a review on the first 3 visits it would have been 5 stars all the way. On our pass two visits the food just hasn't been the same. We always get wings and a side so I will rate all the flavors we have had. Don't let the outside fool you. This place is a hidden treasure. We had been by this restaurant several times and I always wondered if it was any good. Then a friend suggested I give it a try and I am so glad I did. That was less than two weeks ago and I've already been there three times. First, they have wings. Not just wings but the biggest, meatiest wings I have ever seen. Then they have the sauce. You have your choice which sauce you get, everything from Buffalo to Thai to Raspberry. I prefer Buffalo. On my first visit, I had hot wings. They were good but not hot enough for me. Now I get the extra hot. That was much better. If you have folks with you who don't want wings, just flip the menu over. It's huge. I never tried anything else because I only come here for one reason but they can accommodate everyone. They have televisions playing the games all around and they sell beer, so you can get beer and wings and watch the Dolphins win. Soooo. I've been diligently researching 'best chicken wing spot in fort Lauderdale' for some time now and i finally found the perfect spot. Wings plus blew my socks off! I read the menu prior to my visit and decided to try their famous 'key west' wings. The server even let me sample it the sauce before I ordered witch I thought was pretty cool of her. The wings were even better than I expected - perfectly crispy and delicious. One things that stood out to me was their use of perfect ratio of sauce to wing and (not overdressed at all) !! Lastly, they make their blue cheese dressing in house..(too good for words!!!) I've been having wing induced dreams ever since I left - haha.
