I love that the app gives you an estimated time of when your food will be done. The service is exceptional and the staff is nice. The place for the most part seems clean I've never seen it a mess. I would give this store 9/10. Sometimes it can be a total let-down to go into a restaurant with high expectations and leave with a sour (or shall I say "salty") taste in my mouth (which I will explain later). This takes me to the Citrus Heights "Wingstop" which is located in the heart of the Sunrise Marketplace in Citrus Heights. It neighbors a "Round Table Pizza" and a "La Fiesta Taqueria" (which I wish I had gone to instead). Anyhow, this location has been here since 2012 as it was my first time visiting this particular Wingstop. Parking can be a challenge on any given day due to the vast amount of retail business, food establishments, and a "Sprouts" supermarket. As far as the inside of the building, it is spacious but a bit on the darker side as it doesn't have the best lighting. Since this was an early dinner, I arrived at around 4:15pm during the afternoon of Saturday 12/16/2023. Much to my surprise, I was the only customer when I arrived but it soon got busier a few minutes later. The menu itself focuses not only one their trademark (classic & boneless) wings but also chicken tenders, chicken sandwiches, fried corn, veggie sticks, and various fries (seasoned, Louisiana voodoo, cheese, & Buffalo ranch). As far as the flavors that you can get to make your wings customizable, they offer 12 unique tastes to choose from. I ended up ordering a small "3-Piece Tender Combo" complete with regular fries and a 20 oz. drink. I chose the "Louisiana Rub" as my flavor of choice and ranch sauce as my dip of choice. This was priced at $13.99 + tax for everything. This order did take roughly 10 minutes before it was ready, a bit on the long side considering there were no customers waiting for food prior to my arrival. As far as the chicken itself, the breading, texture, and seasoning was decent but sadly, it was overbearingly SALTY! I do not know if this is a common occurrence but every single bite tasted as if it was doused in salt as I knew the sodium content was through the roof. Unfortunately I only ate half of my tenders (as the other half made its way to the trash while eating almost all of fries (which had much less salt than the tenders). I am uncertain if I should ever return to "Wingstop", at least at the Citrus Heights location. I also wanted to add that the service wasn't the greatest as the young lady that took my order had no enthusiasm as she didn't want to be there. When you factor in food that is almost not edible with a cold, dark interior and lackluster customer service, this Wingstop only gets two stars from me. read more

As I am driving to them they call and Francisco said her manager Miranda can't do anything. I was super excited to see the New Mexican street spice flavor so I hurried to Wingstop and ordered a 20 piece boneless deal. After my fiance and I debated how many pieces of each of the 4 flavors we chose, they gave us 5 of each which was disappointing bc we orig had 9 Mexican street flavor, they did remake us an additional 5 which was nice. The orig batch was lacking flavor but the fresh batch was must better so consistency was lacking. We asked for a water cup and they said they didn't offer that. Came here yesterday got the 10 piece boneless wings mango habanero with extra sauce and 2 ranch's sauces and got the fries the fries were so over salted that you could hardly eat them. My grandma ended up getting the 8 piece bone in wings mild wings extra crispy with just carrots. The food tasted good but it made my stomach hurt really bad for the rest of the day and it still hurts today. Also the tea out of there tea machine didn't taste right. Coming on here to say, stay away from this place, due to only 2 workers working when I came in and after ordering a lady with her kid came in yelling at a boy working there. They kept going back and forth with each other for at least 15 minute, and things like your mom should've swallowed you were said. I ordered my dad his dinner here this past weekend and from past experience, you need to order here and not ahead so the fries are fresh. So I ordered him a 6 piece lemon pepper meal with fries. There were about 5 or 6 orders in front of me and I was quoted 21 minutes at 5:11 p.m. The dining room is still closed so everyone orders their food to-go. It was kind of chaotic with so many people waiting inside. Food would be sitting on the counter waiting to be finished and customers were walking up touching the bags to see if their name was on it although the employees were doing their job of calling the names. When they called my order, it was just after 5:40pm. Since I am in the habit of checking my dad order, thankfully I looked and they didn't put in the amount of cheese I paid for(who knew cheese was so expensive.) That was an easy fix. My dad said the food was ok. Some pieces so overcooked and dried out. There wasn't enough lemon pepper flavoring on them tonight.... but the fries were hot. The building itself is fairly small, but that's fine since it's mainly for takeout anyways. The food is affordable, and they give very large portions of it. Whenever I've gotten the boneless wings they come out juicy and tender for the most part. I'd say 8/10 times they're good, the other 2 taste off. I don't know why that happens, but sometimes they might just be having a bad day. That's the only reason I marked off a star, because this does happen more than I'd like it to. Service has always been friendly, the building looks clean, and they're quick to get my order out every single time. I understand they were busy but with such a large company I would think the time slots available online should be more accurate for pick up time. The flavor of the wings did meet expectations but the chicken was dry which is not my usual experience with Wingstop.
