I loved it! The food was very clearly made hot and fresh to order. Reasonable price with filling portions. Medium spice was not actually very spicy, so I'd say err on the side of spicier. Delicious Cajun fries. Only point of improvement was that it does take a little long for the food to come, but I believe that to be because it's freshly made.

    Combo #1: 2 sliders & fries

I visited on Monday around noon and ordered immediately at the counter. The service was fast and I got my food within 10 minutes. Combo #1 two sliders & fries: the fries were excellent! They were super crispy and well seasoned. Even when they were cold, it still tasted good! The sliders were really 2 normal sized burger. The chicken piece was huge and meaty. The coating was crispy & got enough heat for medium level. The coleslaw and pickle were fresh and good complement to the sandwich! Their signature sauce was really good for dipping the fries or slathering on the sandwich.

#3 combo: medium slider, hot tender, mac & cheese, coke

Very pleased with the flavor, quality and service of Angry Chickz! Seasoning on the chicken was perfect, not overly salty. The big tenders were meaty & juicy. Their house sauce and slaw were very good, the right balance of savory and sweet. Mac & cheese is the super creamy saucy kind with perfectly cooked noodles. Team members greeted me right away and brought my food to the table. While eating, I watched them handle a rude-without-reason customer graciously and calmly. Tables, floors and counters were clean too. Will be a repeat customer soon!

Ambiance: Very simple, built for takeout! Service: Very pleasant, friendly, and knowledgeable of products; once they aren't on their phones. Food: The chicken tenders were cooked perfectly and yummy. The medium spice was a little mild. Will try the next step up. I would request a sauce of some sort. The bread and chicken was a little dry. Fries were cold. I should have went back in but they were getting busy and I was running late. Going back on a weekend and see how they do!

We came here because of the high reviews, but honestly, we left really disappointed. My husband's chicken was served cold, which was already not a great start. As for my meal, I specifically asked for no spice at all since I'm breastfeeding, and I wanted to be careful. Unfortunately, my plate still ended up spicy because even the fries were seasoned. What was frustrating is that when I brought it up, the staff told me that's just how they make it and that they couldn't remake it unless I reordered and paid again. That didn't sit right with me, especially because I've had the same meal at another branch before with no spice and no issue. I threw my meal away and never again! Zero customer service and the experience was disappointing. Definitely not what we expected based on the reviews. We won't be coming back.

    Delish fries!!!

1st time @ this location & I loved it. It was simple & clean. I didn't like that I wasn't greeted when I stepped up 2 the register. I understand that u were busy putting 2 gather an order, but u could've said "b w/ u in a moment" or something. Once he was finished, he was great!!! Gave me my sauces & cups. My daughter & I shared the #1: 2 chicken sammiches (medium spice) w/ fries, the perfect amount of food 4 the 2 of us!!! Our food came out piping hot & we loved it!!! Fries w/ crispy on the outside & soft inside. The seasoning on them was great!!! And the sauce that u dip them in had some smokiness 2 them. It paired well 2gether!!! Love the pickles & slaw that they put on the chicken sammiches!!! Perfect amount of spiciness & a delight 2 eat!!! We will definitely go back!!!

So good!!! Full of flavor , not just spicy and bland .

I've been a huge fan of Angry Chicken for years, and it used to be a weekly go-to spot for our family. Unfortunately, the overall value has gone down. They removed the self-serve sauce station, which was a big part of the experience, and the crinkle fries--which we loved--are no longer on the menu. The Yelp lunch special was a great deal for a big family is also gone free tender . These small changes have really affected the appeal and convenience we used to enjoy. Now, instead of coming weekly, we only visit every few months. I hope they consider bringing back some of what made this place special.

Only good thing about this store was ben and his customer service. Felt like I wasted my appetite. lobby was dirty, chicken is mediocre and fries were cold and hard. $28 for chicken sandwich and angry fries. Too expensive. Go to dave's hot chicken instead.

This place is so solid. Fries must be my favorite, like out of any place ever. Super crispy and seasoned perfectly. The chicken is juicy and all the different spice levels bring something great to the table. I had the medium for my sandwich which was excellent, and then I had a hot tender and that was soooo spicy but great. Highly recommend this place

Popped in for lunch today and, as always, the chicken was flawless: crispy, juicy, spicy, and basically everything you want when you're plotting your next food coma. Only one tiny thing: the music. We started off with some K-pop, which was all good--peppy, bubblegum energy while I demolished my sandwich. Then out of nowhere, Josh Groban shows up and belts out a power ballad like he's personally narrating my emotional breakdown over hot chicken. One second I'm vibing, the next I'm rethinking every major decision I've ever made. Then, back to K-pop like Josh never even happened. It was basically the musical equivalent of whiplash, mid-bite. Love you, Angry Chickz--but maybe next time pick a lane and commit. Still obsessed. Still coming back. And if Josh Groban wants to duet with my tears over a side of mac and cheese, so be it.

Their crispy chicken, creamy seasoned rice and coleslaw. (This picture doesn't do it justice.)
    Matt C.

Sort of reminds me of Popeyes Chicken. Crispy and tasty! The buttery rice is good but it reminds me of the seasoned Rice-A-Roni rice. Not as unhealthy... rich/creamy... as I thought it would be. It was good. Definitely not something I would do but every once in a while. The portion sizes are pretty good. Definitely worth trying.

I hadn't been since last summer and was happy to return. Parking can be a bit hectic, but once you're inside, the atmosphere makes up for it. It's a family-owned spot, and you can feel it right away -- everyone is kind, welcoming, and takes the time to check in on you. We came for breakfast, but they also offer lunch and barbecue options, so there's plenty to choose from depending on when you go. They've also expanded and now have a location in Elk Grove. I ordered the French toast plate, which came with thick-cut slices of bread, eggs, and bacon. The French toast was soft on the inside with a nice golden finish, full of flavor without being overly sweet. The eggs were well seasoned, and the bacon was cooked just right. BB ordered the cheeseburger with fries and a side of grits. The burger was juicy with grilled onions and melted cheese, and the fries had that crispy, beer-battered texture. Everything came out hot and satisfying. Overall, a great spot for comfort food with genuinely friendly service. Definitely planning to come back -- especially for the biscuits and gravy next time.

Q1227 easily became one of my favorite dining experiences in Sacramento…read more We started with the lobster bites and broccolini. The lobster bites came with a lemon wedge and their house Thousand Island sauce, and that sauce was incredible. The combination of the crispy lobster, lemon, and sauce worked perfectly together. The broccolini was also seasoned really well and paired nicely with the grilled lemon. I ordered an Old Fashioned, and it was one of the smoothest I've had. One detail I loved was that they stamped the restaurant's logo into the ice cube. Small touch, but really cool. For my main course, I ordered the Grilled Huli Huli Chicken with a crispy rice cake, pineapple, greens, and a house sauce that completely made the dish. The sweet and tangy flavor paired perfectly with the chicken. Me and my girlfriend also shared the mac and cheese, and honestly, this was one of the best mac and cheeses I've had. It was rich, creamy, well-seasoned, and the breadcrumbs on top added the perfect texture. My girlfriend ordered the braised short rib with garlic mashed potatoes and carrot purée. The short rib was so tender it practically fell apart with a fork. Everything on the plate was delicious. One thing that surprised me was the portion sizes. Everything was very filling, and we ended up taking some food home. By the time dessert came around, we were already pretty full, but there was no way we were skipping it. To finish the night, we shared the Ghirardelli triple chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and strawberries. It was the perfect way to end the meal. The restaurant was busy and lively, but it never felt crowded. The tables were spaced out really well, so my girlfriend and I could still enjoy our conversation and watch the basketball game. I also appreciated seeing Chef Q and his wife walking around and checking on guests throughout the night. They stopped by tables to see how everyone was enjoying their food, which was a really nice touch. I even had the chance to take a picture with Chef Q before we left, which was super cool. Between the food, service, atmosphere, and attention to detail, this is easily one of the top restaurants I've been to in Sacramento. Definitely worth a visit.

It was a new place for all of them, but I've been here (and the previous location) multiple times. The food has always been good and I enjoy the creative menu. As expected, everyone enjoyed the food this night as well! I had the Beef Wellington, something I rarely see on menus... so when I DO see it, it's usually on my short list. It was excellent. The broccolini was great too (it was the veggie I chose). And... the carrot cake! Bravo! I love a great carrot cake. The unfortunate negative for us? And I hate to even mention this, but it was definitely a thing for us... the musician, whom I LOVED for his talent and music... was just too loud for us. Not sure what to suggest on that. We enjoyed the music, but we couldn't hear anything else. We couldn't hear each other... we couldn't hear the waiter more often than not... the horn (clarinet) just blasted us out. We weren't RIGHT next to him, we were a couple tables away... but the same side of the room as him. In the future, I'll try to be seated further away if I'm with a group that wants to talk. I'll be back... but maybe after I take an ASL course.
