Very good, solid, cheeseburger from a local Cali chain. The fries are much better than in n out (not hard todo), but the burgers are chargrilled instead of smashed. Still a great, solid burger for a fast food joint. My only wish is that they had a little more sauce on them by default but they are a very good burger regardless. I love Habit Burger and Grill... I especially enjoy their chicken club sandwich. This is my second time ordering from the Citrus Heights location and both times were just not very good. The first visit I made here I ordered a Charburger with cheese and a side of fried avocados which is a seasonal side item. The charburger was way over cooked to the point of not being edible why they would serve that is beyond me, but I was already home. The fried avocados were cooked to pure perfection crispy creamy and delicious. My second visit I ordered the $8 gotta habit meal deal. Which comes with half a chicken club sandwich your choice of side this time I went the fried green beans and a large drink. This is a great deal. My chicken sandwich was very dry they didn't put much avocado on the sandwich my chicken was very dry they weren't stingy with the bacon at least, but the sandwich overall wasn't enjoyable at all. My fried green bean was hot crispy and quite tasty. Whomever, is cooking is over doing it. I don't like overcooked sandwiches. I will probably just stick to going to the Arden Arcade location or Delta Shore they make there on point! The service as far is customer service goes is nothing special the lady at the register seems a bit overwhelmed and I kind of felt rushed to order. I ordered online during the lunch rush hour. I arrived at the exact time the order stated it would be ready only to see every table taken with more than half of the customers tables without food. I kind of knew what to expect from there. There were a total of 4 employees working and clearly understaffed. The woman taking and bagging orders was very kind and patient, even when customers came off highly irritated asking for their food. Her calm demeanor was appreciated. I ordered the half club meal deal with green beans. Unfortunately, the chicken was extremely overcooked, hard to chew and wasn't anywhere near big enough to cover a half slice of bread. The tomato was definitely not fresh and the lettuce was wilted with a very off putting after taste. The green beans were so salty, I threw them all away after just one bite. What I thought to be a great deal for $8, was actually a complete waste of money. We walked in and I ordered the new "gotta habit meal" that shows on the menu as $10. Mind you the menu only shows the $10 meal. this was my second time going to this habit restaurant. The first time the food was just cold and done wrong. It didn't match my receipt. I went back again to try the new Korean burger and wings and my daughter had a hamburger meal and again it was done wrong. Also the charbroiled bun was hard as a rock. I had to cut the top off. The spices were good, but the rest of the burger was subpar, and my daughters meal was just wrong and had soggy fries. Before I review a place I try to go at least three times the third time is usually at a different location. So we went to the Rancho Habit. Picked up my to go order and brought it home only to find that my Korean spicy burger or whatever it is was completely burnt the bonds the meat there was exactly one small tiny piece of bacon on it approximately 3/8 of an inch by 3/4 of an inch hardly the amount the picture was showing buns were burnt meat was burnt. There was yellow cheese and it says white cheese. I guess you could say that tomato looked ripe but the entire burger was cold and I felt like I was biting into a hockey puck. Terrible customer service. Chicken strips were obviously cooked twice. Omar and manager Mr. Ponze treated us as we weren't paying customers. It seems to be because I was a woman, not sure. Habit Burger is seriously underrated! It's 100 times better than McDonald's--and honestly, I think it cost less. We got some coupons in the mail (which was a nice bonus), so we decided to give it a try. We ordered a double cheeseburger with guacamole and a chicken BLT--also with guac--plus two fries and sodas with free refills... all for $16. At McDonald's, that same order probably would've been $30, and we'd be eating in our car. Here, we actually got to sit in a restaurant and enjoy the food. The staff at the front were super nice, too. I'll save the narrative and just get straight to the point: 1. There was one worker up front taking orders and also serving food. I sat near the front counter waiting for my order and watched food sit on the shelf for 10 or more minutes because she was unable to take orders and serve food at the same time. I watched her ask the cook to cook new fries because by the time she could get to serving them, they were cold. All the while the manager, or assistant manager, would walk in and out without helping, either completely oblivious to the logjam or aware and just didn't care. It took me twenty minutes to get my order and again, it wasn't busy. 2. The restaurant wasn't very clean. It wasn't busy, but the empty tables weren't wiped down and there was cooked and uncooked food strewn about the floor in the kitchen area that was visible to us in the restaurant area. It didn't make for a very appetizing environment. 3. The food was ok, but I'm never going back. That manager either needs more awareness of what's going on and help her workers or they just need to hire more people because one person doing all of that up front is not enough and makes for unnecessarily long wait times and cold/wasted food. read more

When I got to the counter, the lady stopped me and said that she had to stop taking orders because there were about 20 orders ahead of us. The wait for food was going to be too long and she had to help the back. Everybody in line left after she made that announcement. I decided to stop in and try the Harvest salad instead of of a tempting and delicious burger. I also ordered the tempura green beans. The salad was good and the ingredients were fresh. I liked that the salad included apples. The apples added a nice fresh crunch. The tempura green bean were delicious as usual. The service was OK. I got my order to go. It took about 25 mins to get my order. Unfortunately the staff person was working at the counter alone. He was greeting customers, taking the orders and making sure the orders were fulfilled. I think there was only one other person in the prep area cooking at that time. There was a steady flow of customers coming in. They all seemed to be sympathetic about the situation. The inside seating and self service drink areas was very clean. There were a few families with children eating inside also. The outside seating area was also occupied with customers. Hubby and I share the Santa Barbara Meal; it's always yummy. While I was getting my serve-yourself soda as n dc ketchup, a large tray (2' x 3') fell from the top of the soda fountain and hit me. A second, smaller tray fell, too, but didn't hit me. I know I audibly reacted as the large tray hit my left wrist. It hurt and left a mark. A nearby fellow customer asked if I was ok. Sadly, not one staff member asked if I was ok. No one bothered. This totally ruined my meal! Did they just not care or afraid to ask in case it meant they were responsible? Went in tonight to Sunrise location at 4pm to pick up my to go order. I told the guy my name, guy replies "not ready" and turns around to continue on so I sit down in front of the counter just looking around I see him put food gloves on and package up some orders. A lady walks up to place an order and he takes the order with his gloves on, uses the cash register and shoves a couple bucks into the tip cup immediately turns around and begins to pack up my open burgers and fries with the same gloves. I jumped to the counter and said excuse me! He turns mid grab, looks at me, I said do not touch peoples food with dirty gloves, I saw you use the cash register and shove your hand into the tip cup. He turned to me and said your right and walks away. Comes back putting new gloves on packs up my food puts it on the counter and turns back around annoyed. I ordered one of their boxes for Super Bowl. It had 8 sliders, 4 sides and 10 chicken nuggets. I was not impressed at all by the food I received. The sliders were just ok, really nothing special. I would have rather had a burger from just about anywhere. The 4 sides were a mix of fries and onion rings. The onion rings were the only thing that I actually thought was good. They were nice and crispy. The fries absolutely sucked, they were soggy and floppy, no crisp at all. Same with the sweet potato fries. The chicken nuggets were ok, just taste like some frozen ones I could buy at the store and heat up in my air fryer. We had enough left over to eat the next day, and it was even worse reheated. Habit burger used to be a favorite for us. The burgers were very juicy and flavorful. Even so, we hadn't been there in quite some time, so decided to go last night. We ordered Charburgers. My husband had regular fries and I had sweet potato fries. We both had shakes. We both noticed right away that the food, most notably the burgers, were smaller with far less flavor than we'd always enjoyed. They were bland, really. When we got home, a quick internet search revealed that Habit burger is under different ownership, which led to fairly recent changes. It's unfortunate, as they really had a superior product before. DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION! I walked in when they opened, ordered two burgers and two fries for me and my mom. I specified in the beginning PLEASE NO LETTUCE, Omar who was taking my order said LETTUCE ONLY? To which I nicely said no, no lettuce on the burger please. He again repeated the word lettuce to which I said no. While I was waiting the manager came up to Omar and said he was not being friendly and needed to be nicer, he wasn't lol. The food took 30 minutes to make, two men who came in after me were served before me despite ordering more food. I asked for ranch to which Omar was super rude, charged me which was okay. Until I saw that a man walked up and asked for ranch, he was given the ranch for free and Omar was nice. When I got to my car I could see there was in fact lettuce on the burger, so I went back in and asked for a new one. The manager, Daniel, took my burger without making eye contact, did not say anything then moments later came back talking to Omar in front, both of them looked at me and started laughing loudly (multiple times) Both male workers treated the men in the store completely different than me. I am pregnant and having to return food during an already bad experience that I paid for because it was wrong just to be laughed at and made fun of for doing so especially with what's going on with all the lettuce is extremely disgusting and disappointing to me. I've been to this location before and things take forever, so today I opted for picking up my free birthday burger via the app and curbside pickup. I have to say it worked out well. I wasn't sure where the curbside pickup would be since they have funny parking at this place and you walk up stairs to get to it, but the curbside area is right in front and in a row so it's a parallel parking situation unless it's empty then you dribble right in. It was full when I pulled up but someone pulled out and I got in pretty quick and after checking in food came out pretty quick. We have been going there for years and the service has gotten progressively slower and slower. Every time I order online, my order is made wrong so instead I order in-store to go and end up waiting 30 to 45 minutes for two kids meals. The only reason I give it to stars is because the food is actually decent when it's made correctly. I wish they could improve the service though. read more
