Representing 2022, W is for Wingstop. I had a friend, who lived in Montgomery Village who moved in 2025, but a couple of times we ordered Wingstop. We picked up wings here, and the staff was nice and always punctual with the timing. They have various wing bundle specials, which aren't bad. The wings are pretty solid, but they are fried wings, which a bit of a negative but still tasty. Overall, good positive experiences. I visited another location in Beltsville, which wasn't so good. I did the survey email I got in October 2025 and named all the issues. The next day the manager of that store called me and said to come back in, and he would treat me to free wings and make sure my experience was better. I have yet to do that as it's just quite rare that I'm on that part of US 1 and also looking to eat over there too (maybe twice driven by since then), but I haven't forgotten; I will eventually redeem this. It wouldn't be fair to give a bad 2-star Yelp to them yet; manager was nice enough to call, I'll want to get those free wings from him and can judge the overall experience from October 2025 to whenever I end up doing that. read more

This is our go to location for wingstop. The food is always piping hot and crispy. As with every wingstop, the ranch always comes in clutch. I personally like the lemon pepper and the garlic Parmesan, but Korean bbq is also a house favorite. They are conveniently located in the Safeway parking lot and there are plenty of space regardless of the time of day. read more

I tried wings from pizza places and these do not compare. I like to get mine plain or Oldbay. I have purchased other flavors in the past and always had happy eaters. I usually order pick up and every time I call, I get good customer service. I always ask for the specials and sometimes come up with complicated orders that they always deliver. When picking up my order I noticed that almost half the order was missing. 25 wings, 4 dips, two large fries were missing to be exact. However, what appalled me was the fact that I was being rushed to share what was missing and a gentleman in green hair almost made it seem like I was lying about what was missing. I've been to a few Wingstops around where I live. My experience has been hit or miss at this specific one. Depends if you're coming during big games or events who is working that day, your experience will be different. Employee's are trained to ask for your name for your order, however all aren't as quick to serve or friendly as others. The wings itself, which I normally get bone in and only have tried garlic parmesan, lemon pepper, and spicy korean (not that spicy and I cant handle spicy). All flavors are delicious and I would recommend. However, as I spoke about hit or miss. Sometimes they can come out with too much seasoning or oil on them. For example I got too much lemon pepper on my chicken multiple times and it was too sour/salty to eat. And for the oil, they could let the chicken sit over the fryer to let it drip excessive oil off before serving. A few times I ordered to go, they forgot my dipping sauce as well. To whom it may concern, We have never had a complaint or any problem with the wing stop located at 20201 Goshen Rd, Gaithersburg, MD 20879 before until now. On 04/14/24 around 10:33pm my wife and I were craving wing stop, I tried making a call to this location multiple times but no one answered the phone so I decided to walk in the store around 10:42pm. The host greeted me and I told them I wanted to make an order that was when I was told "we are not taking any orders right now" I asked what time the store closes and the two hosts up front told me "10:40pm". I left the store and looked up the store times and the website showed 11pm as closing time. My wife and I eat from this establishment every time and love the food we get from here but the lack of professionalism and lack of honesty that I experienced on 04/14/24 from the 20201 Goshen Rd, Gaithersburg, MD 20879 location by those employees is completely uncalled for. Four stars for their takeout service. I ordered 8 wings to go for lunch and I love how they gave me a time estimate and had the wings ready to go as soon as I got there- very convenient for saving time. Another great thing about this one experience was that even though I ordered 8 wings, they gave me two extra ones because a few of them were looking kinda chumpy... that's a great play on the cook staff here at wingstop, as other places would give you the first 8 wings they find regardless of the size. And the wings I did have were cooked perfectly- I got the garlic parmesan and lemon pepper (dry-based) wings. The lemon pepper wings were my favorite and tasty- not spicy at all but the temperature of the wings combined with the zest makes this one a regular favorite. I didn't like the garlic parmesan as much as I felt they were a little bland, but that's just me. I picked this location for a carryout order over the Middlebrook one as this has better reviews and I've dined here before so I was sure my food was going to be great but I was dissapointed... I placed an order for pickup through their app for 7:30 and due to the pandemic, they had advised to not come in the store for pick-up until your ordered time. I went in at 7:30 and told the cashier how I had a order pickup. Both cashiers were giggling and mumbling so I could not understand them and he finally pointed to the table where they had the rest of the pick up orders. I picked up my bag and asked him if he needs to check my ID or anything and he mumbled again so Im assuming he said no so I left. I kept meaning to post a review right after I got my food, but here we are. I hardly ever have issue with my orders here, but clearly this time was an exception. As you can see, the order receipt on it clearly states that it was supposed to be all drums and seasoned fries. My brother has always been a fan of this place and I did not eat meat so I couldn't really try this place. Now that I have married a meat-eater, this was my chance to try this place. It really was not a sit down type of place and I saw a lot of people making orders to-go. It is at the corner between a grocery store and a 7 eleven and a gas station. The wings were okay. They definitely do a better job than buying wings from a grocery store - I hoped at least - and they delivered on that front. However, the sauce and the spices were a bit bland. They were not as spicy as they touted to be and I wished we went further and got the spiciest option now. I felt like all of the wings were blanched and fried to hide the quality of the chicken, but what can you expect from a fast food type of wing place. Location wise, this place does its job as people are usually here for quick stops and it is located pretty neatly. He didn't respond to my greeting and when I told him that I came to pick up an online order He yelled " Ma'am is your Order not at the table?" Consistently excellent wings. I really like their classic BBQ flavor and their mango habenara is really hot and I eat spicy food! These wings always do the job for me, I'm addicted I eat here way too much. Wing-stop flavors are all good to me, there is not one that I don't like but I love their garlic Parmesan, also-the wings are crispy which is exactly how I like them. I wavered between 3 and 4 stars for Wingstop. The boneless wings themselves are quite good. If you've heard the commercials for the lemon pepper flavor, they aren't kidding, its really really good. The other flavors all range from a sweet BBQ to a hot and spicy, but lemon pepper is always a solid go to. The staff here is really friendly, but the whole place feels really dark inside. The disappointing thing is the fries, which tend to be soggy and overcooked. Also, the wait times can be ridiculous if someone ahead of you calls in a big order. I believe I had written a really bad review of this place a couple years back, when they had fired all of the capable staff and brought some guy from Texas named Mike up to manage the place. He failed miserably. I believe it's Jason who is the new manager (or he appears to be when I've been there), and he has this place running like clockwork, regardless if he's there or not. The wings are back to being cooked properly. My garlic parm wings were covered in parm, which is how they should be. I've been going to the Shady Grove spot the past few years because of the change up to staff, but it's now back to getting your orders on time, and things being cooked properly. Shady Grove is still a great spot, and the staff there are phenomenal, but they don't make wings as good as the new Goshen staff. At some point I decided that if a place named for wings can't get wings right or even pretty good, it's not worth visiting. Recently a friend told me she had gone it and like it, so I decided to give it another try. SO disappointed. I ordered the boneless wings (first mistake) with fries and blue cheese dipping sauce. Ordered 15 boneless wings and the wings were so salty and inedible that I threw them away after eating just a few. The parmesan wings were just swimming in butter and the buffalo wings were not cooked first and then dipped in buffalo sauce. All of the wings felt like they had been frozen and then microwaved. I'm disappointed. There was so much hype from neighbors and friends about Wingstop so I decided to part with my usual spot (Buffalo Wild Wings) to get my Thursday wing fix. A simple 8-piece, 2-flavor wing order with a side of fries and a dip...all to-go since I was on my way to the airport. After a 17-minute wait, I get my order and head out. While riding to the airport, I decide to indulge. Fries are there and they look and smell good. The dip is there and it looks very filling. 8 wings are there looking scrumptious. Best wings in Gaithersburg! My only real complaint is the inconsistency between their online menu and in-store. If you order online you can get different quantities of wings which is nice if you want a smaller order or to try more flavor varieties. I'm not a fan of their fry seasoning so a big plus for me that you can order them plain. I wish there was a location in Germantown so they'd be closer to where we live. read more
