Did a carry out order, and let's just say craazy portion size if I had paid 9.99 for the tender deal cuz my pieces looked like boneless chicken pieces. Just your usual and consistent Wingstop in Irvine. They do a good job with their wings as most locations do. I'm always a fan of dry rub wings since they usually get less soggy and have much more of a crisp to it. Blue cheese dressing is the way to do with these wings! I am always a fan of the Louisiana rub and the Lemon pepper so that's always my Go-to choice. Only critique with most of the chain restaurants like this is the maintenance and the management. Tables are not wiped even though it was just my table and another one here so I had wiped my own table. The Louisiana rub was barely on it or even rubbed on. I usually love Wingstop, but this recent visit was pretty disappointing. The chicken sandwich that I got my girlfriend was not cooked properly. The texture of the chicken was like that of rubber and hard to chew. It almost felt like you were chewing on rubber and you had to bite and tear off the chunks of meat just to get a bite. The rubbery texture can even be shown with me trying to stab the chicken with my fork, but it behaves like uncooked chicken. My girlfriend was complaining about the chicken sandwich until I asked to inspect the chicken and I found out the chicken wasn't cooked properly. This place is always busy and for good reason! My food has always been hot and freshly made. You can even see the kitchen and watch them cook if you choose. The chicken is juicy, tender, and perfectly cooked. And so flavorful! My favorite would be the lemon pepper wings, but the entire menu is delicious. I'm extremely disappointed and frankly appalled by the level of service and hygiene at your store. One of your female employees -- Hispanic, wearing glasses -- was completely unprofessional and rude. She didn't bother to check our online order confirmation number and instead gave us a completely wrong order with just 3 wings when we clearly ordered 16. She made us go back and forth to the store because of her incompetence, and not once did she take responsibility or even apologize. Instead, she kept making excuses like "I thought you were walk-in" -- which is absurd. It's her job to confirm whether a customer is a walk-in or an online order, especially when there are multiple orders with the same name. That is basic customer service. She clearly didn't care. What's worse -- when we finally got the correct order, there was a hair in the food. That is absolutely disgusting and raises serious concerns about the hygiene standards of your establishment. This isn't just bad service -- this is unacceptable. I hope you seriously address both the attitude of your staff and the sanitary conditions of your kitchen. We got the double combo to go which included 15 boneless wings, 2 drinks, and a large fries. The wings were cooked well and the buffalo and lemon pepper flavors were great. I love the machine they have for drinks because you can combine custom flavors. It's also fun to watch the staff make orders while waiting for your own. A few different points to make here for the review. 1. The wings were really juicy which is fantastic 2. The hottest sauce isn't hot at all and probably on par with the BWW spicy garlic. If you are looking for heat, you won't find it here. That being said, it was the tastiest of the 3 sauces we got. 3. The 2 other sauces didn't really cover the wings at all and one was a dry rub that resembled a naked wing. 4. Ordered at 5pm for a 6pm pick up. When you arrive, the person at the cashier will click your name so they can start your order. You heard that right, if you put an order in for pickup, it will not be started till you get there. This resulted in an over 15 minutes wait for wings that should have been ready. When I asked what the point of ordering ahead of time, the answer I got was, "these are the orders we currently have" and the guy pointed to the board of orders. Which honestly, who cares when you ordered ahead of time. If you cannot figure your timing out, you probably shouldn't work in food or you need to fix your website to not allow overloading of orders. 5. The wings were not crispy, this was probably due to the fact that it was a to-go order. I can't fault them because of the juicy wings, but because of this fact, I suggest eating in the restaurant to get crispy and juicy. We already accepted the near doubling of prices since the pandemic but, this week, our 20 tenders fit in one box instead of two because all 20 of them were small. NO CASH ACCEPTED AT THIS LOCATION Apparently this location does not accept cash, you have to use a debit or credit card. When I pressed the person taking my order, he made it clear that all the other Wing Stop locations accept cash, but this specific location doesn't...interesting... I could understand it we were still in the middle of a pandemic and they wanted to cut down on hand to hand contact, however the implementation of "No Cash" suggests that the employees were stealing it, or they were accepting fake bills, I mean why would the business owner want to pay an extra 3% on their credit and debit card transactions? I would assume, that the 3% they pay to process their credit/debit transactions is far less that the amount of money being stolen or fake bills being accepted.
