I am such a huge fan of Waba Grill! It's so healthy and fresh and flavorful! I always get the steak plate with either all veggies or half brown rice and half veggies. The steak is marinated super well and it's super soft! Just writing this review makes me want to eat it NOW :) I also love the sauces they offer - both the waba sauce and the house waba hot sauce. It makes the food so much better! I'm giving this WaBa Grill a 3 stars because of the location and the employees. I typically call in my order ahead of time so I don't have to wait. Both the ladies I have spoken to so far (maybe they were the same, not sure) have been rude. And like, passively rude which makes it even worse! Thankfully they have never gotten my order wrong, but why be rude for no reason? This location is also located in a small corner strip mall. I have never had trouble finding parking but I can see it being a problem during peak hours. The inside is also very tiny! Thankfully I take my food to go but it's not the cleanest environment either so it doesn't entice me to eat there. I normally go here for lunch for the past few years. Loved the customer service. Today was the first time I have experience such rude customer service from employee. She must be new because I have never seen her there had an attitude could berly understand her. Never again coming back here. I also asked her for an extra sauce which there has never been an issue in the past years I have been coming here. So they have a new large container for the plate combo. It's black and looks a little deep but it holds less than the original container. Less chicken and beef so they can close the top. I paid extra for white meat and I get way less than before. Like another reviewer mentioned, this place is getting stingier and I'm assuming by switching their containers to hold less food but keep the same price. I've been coming to this location for many years now, but I've been a fan of Waba Grill since 2007. If you need a quick delicious lunch, Waba on Warner will take your order and have the food in your hand within 4 minutes. You can even call ahead and pick it up if you want it faster. I always order a bowl; either the chicken or half and half bowl. It's always a good amount of food and I always finish my meal completely satisfied. The employees are very friendly and one greets me by name when I come in - that's good customer service! The location is always very clean. During the week it gets busy for lunch, but I never have a problem finding a seat. The one thing I wish they still had were all the sauces at all the tables (I like to add sauces as I eat). It used to be that all tables had the sauces, now you have to ask to borrow a sauce from a table or get a table with the sauces on it already. Customers that work depend on your employees to get it right the first time. I suggest an order check before handing over the bag. Maybe that would avoid complaints. Just tried this place for the first time today. I've been to many teriyaki joints and this one was on about the same level. I ordered the half and half plate (chicken and steak) with brown rice. The sauce went very well with both meats and came with a nice little portion of salad. However, the owner or whoever is in charge of staff and hiring needs to either retrain or do a better job of choosing someone who is friendlier. The food was fine but I didn't like this location because the cashier in the front working around 12:20pm on 5/31/19 was rude. She had attitude and when I said thank you the first time she didn't say anything, the second time I asked for a lid for my food, she acted annoyed then when I said thank you she just said "yeah" very quickly... also there were so many flies in my food. I recently spotted Waba on the way home from work and thought I'd give it a try. I'm a fan of their "Eat Smart Be Healthy" motto. The fact that they advertise no additives or MSG almost insured a repeat visit even before I tried my meal! ;-). I found the food (I got it to go) very tasty. The service was quick and freindly. I had the chicken steak combo plate. It came with a yummy small salad, and a bit of fruit. The overall portion was more than enough, and the price at $8 seemed quite reasonable. So far so good... May update as I come here more often. Hopefully it doesn't decrease with bad interactions with the owner that others have mentioned. I had the half chicken and half veggie bowl, with brown rice, and like others have mentioned, the food's good! I was trying to look for a good teriyaki place that doesn't char their meats (char = cancer!!), and this was perfect. The chicken was fresh, and the amount they gave was perfect!! I don't like to eat a lot for lunch, so it was perfect for me to split over two lunches and still feel very content. Some may not like this, but they didn't include a lot of sauce on the bowl... but for me, another win!! I don't like it when my food is charred and drenching in sauce. This place is the best healthy teriyaki option that's like 5 minutes from work. The veggies, although much of it was cabbage, was plentiful and also very fresh. It wasn't welted or overcooked as in my prior experiences with other teriyaki places. Also, the service was incredibly fast. I think I got my food in about 5 minutes, which helped me rush in and out of there. I'll definitely try the salmon next time, and if it's great, I may bump this up to a 5 star. read more

After sneaking peeks at my coworker's lunch a couple days ago, I ventured over here hoping to be happy to find a place so close to my work that is super tasty for teriyaki. Unfortunately this place kind of fell short. I got the chicken bowl with double veggie, half the rice and the portions are generous, but for 6 bucks I expected to get more than just a ton a rice with scrawny chicken bits on it. In that way, Waba delivered. There was lots of chicken and steamed cabbage, carrot and broccoli. It just wasn't too flavorful and I had to pour on more teriyaki and hot sauce. A big plus though was that they were super speedy and I was able to get back to work with a ton of time left in my lunch hour. read more

Not sure if the adress is correct on here. GPS followed the adress and took me to a business complex? However I called & the WaBa grill is on the corner of warner and standard. Smaller than usual WaBa grill so I would take it to go. Food is delicious as always. However I thought it was odd they keep the sauce behind the counter so you can't fill up your own containers - you have to ask for them. No lemon either at this location. Both are very tasty dishes and taste wayyyy better than Flame Broiler. Place is located in a sketchy area but parking is pretty easy. Definitely recommend if your in the area. read more

$15 down the drain - can I leave 0 stars? I partly blame myself for this because when my wife and I walked in here I casually mentioned to her that it smelled funny and she agreed. I also didn't notice a letter grade anywhere so that was red flag number two. Much to our dismay we ordered a chicken bowl and a half and half bowl. When we got home and opened the containers the chicken STUNK. I don't know what was wrong with it but I wasn't going to eat it and find out later. We didn't take one bite and immediately tossed both of them in the trash. It's too bad because a friend of mine always posts good pictures of this place all the time but I assume they are from the Anaheim location. Shame on me for not seeing the signs. by far the worst waba I've ever been to. I will never return to this location. in comparison to the other locations I've visited, here are 3 major things that really disappointed me. this review is based off of my order today which was: chicken bowl with brown rice, extra onions. 1) they are very skimpy with their portions. if they charge the same price as the other locstions, I expect their portions to mimic eachother. other locations fill their bowls with rice and meat to the point where it's touching the underside of the lid. today's serving was about 3/4's of the way there. consistency is important if you're running a business that also has many other locations around the area. 2) brown rice. it was dry, cold, and hard. when I say hard, I mean it would crunch when I bit down on it,so I ended up spitting it out as it was inedible. 3)every other location had their house sauce and spicy sauce on the side for you to fill on your own. this one had them already made. they give you one of each, which is filled a third of the way. quite sad. 4) the address listed on yelp is incorrect. it leads me to a business district, so I pulled over and called them to make sure. the girl there told me it was on warner and standard. if they are receiving calls and people are listing their reviews stating the address is incorrect, then you should probably fix that. read more
