Hungry for chicken wings but with the wing shortage going on, I tried their new thigh bites in hot sauce. Also ordered 10 wings, half Korean bbq and half hot sauce. First few bites of the thighs were ok but after awhile I noticed how dry the thigh meat was. Thigh meat should be so dried out. The wings were better but the same problem arose. Wings were dry, over fried and over sauced. Well, filled my wing desire but with very average taste. I threw the rest of the thigh bites outs. Epilogue. This is mainly a warning to myself, but don't come to this one they've screwed up my order three times consecutively. Twice online and once in person with the person repeating it back to me. First time they straight up gave me some else's order. Felt bad cause I only ordered 10 wings but ended up getting 20. Completely wrong flavors too. For wing flavors, I like the Louisiana rub, Mango Habanero, Garlic Parmesan and Lemon Pepper. The boneless meal deal is 16.99 which is a great price especially in these post-pandemic days. There is limited seating inside, but plenty of seating outside. They have a fancy soda machine as well. This location on Barranca in Irvine CA is the worst I have been to. Firstly when I order on the app I still have to wait another 7-10 min after my order says completed for my food (sometimes they forget my order). When I have asked to speak to a manager they apologize and say something off the wall, because they can't admit they forgot. Secondly, my order was simple Fried cajun corn with extra seasoning which they forgot the extra seasoning part. I now have them check my order at the counter because they always manage to put in extra butter (that I didn't ask for) instead of the seasoning. They place it on after the fact which tastes overwhelming for it's not shaken in the bowl just placed on top. I will be calling corporate for either they need to charge for the extra seasoning to get it right or not offer it. It's like no one wants to be there so they get lazy on the order. I live nearby so I walked to this location. I put my order in to find out afterwards that they wont accept my Mastercard through Apple Pay. My favorite flavors are: garlic Parmesan, lemon pepper, mango habanero, and Korean sauce. They have the best fries. It's slightly sweet. I like to pair it with their hot cheddar cheese sauce. We bring our own cayenne to top the cheese off. I've never had a problem with service, which other people have complained about. My only problem is that orders get pricey fast. If you don't do a big combo deal it comes out to be over $1.50 per wing. They only deals are on boneless wings, but why would I come here for that? I've been going to this Wingstop location for 5 years. When I first started going here everything was high quality and I was never dissatisfied with my food. However, in the past few months the quality of the food has drastically declined. Everything is under seasoned or lacking sauce, and most of the time the food is not as hot as it should be. I've seen several recent reviews mention the fries and every time I have come here for the last 5 or so months the fries have been soggy, cold, and barely seasoned; the portion size of the fries has also dramatically decreased recently. It doesn't matter if you order them extra well done with extra seasoning they will always be soggy and under seasoned. The dips and flavors are good because it's Wingstop, but make sure they actually put the dips in your bag before you leave. I don't know if the changes in portion size and seasoning are just changes that Wingstop has implemented, but the food should not be soggy and cold. I have given feedback on the quality of the food several times and nothing has changed. If you are going to get Wingstop, avoid this location. read more

I would definitely recommend ordering a group pack if you're with a group of friends or family (definitely more bang for your buck). Plus I think they give you bigger wings when you order the group pack so there's that. This location is located in the Crossroads plaza so there's a lot of parking spaces available. There's bathrooms as well inside so don't worry if your hands get dirty while digging into those wings. Okay let's talk flavors: Atomic isn't that spicy so don't shy away from it. My favorite is the Mango Habanero (I'm a sucker for sweet stuff) and you can't lose with Garlic Parmesan or Lemon Pepper if you can't stand the heat. Food is limited to bone-in and boneless wings. There are sides such as carrot and celery sticks as well as fries. On Monday and Tuesday's they have boneless chicken wings for $.60 each. In order to take advantage of this deal one has to buy the wings in bunches of 5. Current wing flavors at this location included: atomic, mango habanero, cajun, original hot, Louisiana rub, mild, hickory smoked BBQ, lemon pepper, garlic parmesan, Hawaiian, and teriyaki. Garlic Parmesan/Louisiana rub ($.60 each) - I ordered 5 of the garlic parmesan and 5 of the Louisiana rub boneless wings. I also ordered a side of blue cheese dip ($.89) that went well with the wings. Both types of wings were dry rub and I definitely preferred the flavor of the garlic parmesan. The Louisiana rub was disappointing, though it did have a little bit of a kick to it. The wings had a little bit too much breading for my liking but I don't have any major complaints taste wise. Overall the 10 wings made for a filling meal and at $6.00 this is a pretty good deal.
