Pelicana was so delicious! I've had my fair share of korean fried chicken and this definitely lived up to my standards. It was pretty empty when I went and service was really fast. It was a pretty large space that was dimly lit and is a great vibe for a late night grub! My friends and I got the banban chicken, half original and half signature sauce. The chicken was perfectly crispy and I liked the signature sauce the most since it was the perfect amount of sweet and savory. The only downside is that I felt like the chicken was a bit dry. My favorite dish of the night was the rose tteokbokki and honestly I still think about it. It's a good spice level and soo creamy and delicious! I loved how much cabbage and fish cake there was. The cheese balls were also amazing! The cheese pull was insane and I loved the subtle sweetness of it. Overall a great recommendation from my friend and I'm glad they gave multiple locations!

There are plenty of parking spaces. We ordered the Peli Ball Combo and Fried Wings/Boneless with Honey Soy, Garlic, and Signature Sauces. Everything was really good and all the sauces were delicious. I liked that the sauces were mixed in with the wings instead of dipping. The Peli Ball were good too with some flavor inside each ball. Overall, delicious food! Service: 5/5 Tip(s): - They provide gloves for you to use - Plenty of parking spaces - Restrooms available

I got the crispy bone-in wings 9 piece, honey soy. Good crunch, good flavor, and it even came with some delicious radishes. At $19.40 after tax, it's around the same ballpark as BBQ Chicken, I guess that's the price for delicious fried chicken! It took 15 minutes without a line. Solid food.

Crunchy Korean fried chicken! Fried chicken is undefeated. Pelicana is great, it always hits the spot! My favorite sauces are Garlic and Cheese! I was in and out super quick! Nice vibes inside!

Solid korean fried chicken place with multiple sauce options and many korean tapas/appetizers! If you are looking for a chill korean fried chicken place, Pelicana did not disappoint! Our waiter took our order and brought out the food relatively fast! We waited at most 10 minutes which was nice! They have alot of beer and drink options. As for the food, we ordered a few of the tapas and the fried chicken. I personally got the double fried cheese topping and it was pretty tasty! They use a white parmesan cheese powder that had good flavor and they didn't overly coat the chicken as well! As for the sided i really enjoyed the tteokkbokki and the cheese balls! The place can get a bit noisy sometimes but it is very lively and fun. I'll for sure be back for another visit!

Takeout order: The chicken here is so good! Always gets to you hot the crispy. We tried the chicken with honey soy sauce and parmesan. Chicken with Honey Soy Sauce- I cannot praise the crispness enough. Meat is juicy and sauce is a good mixture of sweet and tangy. Parmesan- The generous dusting of parmesan cheese gave it a layer of rich flavor. This one disappeared quickly!

A nice Korean fried chicken spot with a lively interior. Clean and well kept with pocha/bar-like vibes. We ordered korean fried chicken with 2 sauces on the side. The chicken wings were super crispy, hot and juicy, but a little on the smaller side. - sweet soy: 8.5/10. You always have to get the sweet soy from all Korean fried chicken places. This flavor never misses! - spicy hot: 9/10. Sweet and spicy! To my surprise this sauce was actually quite spicy which I loved. I dipped the chicken wing in both sauces, making the best flavor if you can handle your spice. - pelicana fries: 6.5/10. A sweet and cheesy powder/dusted fries. The fries were good, but not a big fan of cheese so just not for me.

i came by here for a birthday dinner for my friend, and we had an overall good experience with yummy food! we got the crispy banban chicken, with half original and half signature sauce. since everything is fried to order, it took about 15 minutes to come out. the chicken was super crispy and the meat was really juicy! the signature sauce is like a sweet soy flavor and was really yummy. for non-chicken items, we ordered a rose tteokbokki and the peli cheese balls, and both were good! the rose tteokbokki has a nice creaminess and isn't too spicy if you aren't a fan of spice. the peli cheese balls are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside with a decent cheese pull. it was mildly crowded for a tuesday evening, and the service was quick and efficient. there is a lot of parking around, which i always appreciate!

Craving Korean Fried Chicken and saw that a Pelicana location was nearby! The restaurant was quite empty around lunch time but there was relatively loud kpop music to keep the vibe in the restaurant upbeat! Our waitress took our order and we got our food within 20 minutes. The salad and cheese balls came out relatively quick and definitely served well as appetizers. Only real problem was the bugs, man there were a lot of flies and gnats flying around that kind of interrupted our dining experience. When the wings came around, one of the bugs even had the audacity to land in the honey soy sauce wings! Bugs aside, the chicken was super crispy and tasty, the kind of taste I was craving so it gets a pass. All in all, the food was great but the experience I had trying to eat the chicken without getting in extra unwanted protein was a bit rough. I'll stick to my local pelicana unless I happen to be back in the area again.

Good service and food crunchy food. I enjoyed the food a lot. It was very crunchy. I was a bit confused when ordering and I learned that I prefer the wings instead of the other chicken parts. Half original 9/10 and other half was honey soy! 7.8/10 Shaken fries are a must! 10/10 Three ball combos, I wanted to try these, I really liked the cheese ball 10/10. Chocolate 7/10 pretty good. Carmel 4/10 it was okay. Corn cheese 8.5/10! Good with the chicken Complimentary cabbage 10/10! Thank you

Updating my review: Service significantly worse! We went to eat in to have fresh fried chicken. The place was fairly empty (one other group) but they were pretty slow. We had to ask for water a few times, ask for napkins a few times , ask for straws a few times. They also place the hot food right in front of our 1 year old instead of anywhere else on the table. Overall lack of awareness. Chicken still amazing! Probably why everyone just gets it to go.

Service is prompt and convenient. We've been to several locations in OC and in SK. All fried chicken options are tasty. Corn dish does vary but is really good here. Irvine locations is nice and quiet in small business center.

It's only been a few years since I was introduced to K-fried Chicken, and it has been quite a yummy experience so far as I've tried most of the popular places in town. Pelicana is relatively new here, but I'm told that it's been around in Korea for many years now, so, I had very high expectations for its quality. Unfortuantely, I was somewhat let down by this first time visit. This is a small'ish fried chicken joint designed like a casual sports bar, wall mounted TVs, colorful bar, and lound music blasting overhead. I guess it's more than just a take out place, and can be a pretty fun place to hang out with friends for a drink and some comefort K-food. We ordered a half order of the Crispy Fried Boneless Chicken and an order of the whole Original Fried Chicken....with their Signature sauce on the side. We typically don't like our chicken tossed and drenched in sauce and prefer to order it naked and be able to dip our chicken in the sauce as and how we like. We actually thought the boneless chicken was actually very good.....big pieces, tender and juicy, and very yummy with some sauce......and not oily. As for the whole original fried chicken, I liked the crispiness of the coating, but every single piece was just drenched in oil with the whole paper lining of the serving pan like a swimming pool of oil! They could very well have let the oil drain a bit before serving it. Other than that, the chicken meat was pretty nice, tender, juicy, and was quite yummy with the signature sauce. I had really wanted to give a better rating to this place, but the music blasting overhead was way too loud! We had asked the manager to please turn it down a bit since the place was empty, but I was told she was a bit reluctant to do so, and had even given an annoyed look. Unfortunately, I guess it was still a bit early and regular staff had not started their shift yet, so the manager had to attend to us. However, all she ever did was take our order and brought out the food.....never once did she come check on us, asked if we needed anything, or how the food was, etc. Even when we were done eating and were ready to pay the check, we had to walk up to the back area to ask for our check. Bad, bad, bad service, with a bit of an attitude, by the manager. However, the young girl who took over from the manager as we were finishing was much nicer...very nice, friendly, and helpful. Verdict?.....There are many much better quality K-fried Chicken places with much better service in the area.....so we certainly won't be coming back here again.

They have tons of parking in this shopping center. They share it with TONS of other places. One of my BFFs saw this on an Instagram video and wanted to check it out. *They do take reservations When we came in we checked in with one of the waitresses. She said she would seat us in a minute. To be honest, she did forget about us. A waiter walked up to us and asked us what was going on (we were standing there for around 7 - 10 minutes) and we told him we had a reservation for the speakeasy. He immediately apologized and sat us. This camp themed speakeasy has a couple booths. It's on the smaller sides. Which, speakeasy's are usually small to begin with. I did not get the waitresses name, my friend and I were busy catching up. The waitress was nice, but not attentive. I will say service was a 2/5. However, the actual restaurant, cozy pine is located in, was packed because of the World Cup being on TV. So I definitely was not going to complain The food Our food order did come out extremely FAST. Faster than our drink orders. -the campfire guacamole -BBQ shoestring fries (had bbq seasoning all over them so it tasted like a BBQ potato chip) -Glamping plate (charcuterie board) -steak tacos (one without onion and cilantro -churro affogato Again, the food was VERY fast!! And to be honest it wasn't that bad. I'll say, speakeasy's usually shine in the drink department vs food. Drinks -Lycheed and Loaded Ketel One, lychee liqueur, lemon, elderflower. This was extremely delicious! If you don't like to taste your alcohol? Go with this. It was really refreshing. Hand this to me at a spa and I'd be the happiest gal in the world -Camp Anawanna $17 Graham cracker-infused bourbon, licor 43, chocolate, torched marshmallow (the waitress catches the marshmallow on fire at the table) This one was stronger and I didn't think it was overly sweet despite the ingredients I think they had a good selection, especially for a small speakeasy. I have been to better, so I don't think I'd return. Especially since the service was not that great. We still had a good time and recommend for every speakeasy lovers list.

After our party of six chatted over cocktails and preyed on pupus, we moved to a "secret" room tucked in the back of Stowaway and walked into a Belly Of The Beast. The founders and co-owners of Stowaway, Leonard Chan and Dominic Iapello, created this extension to the tiki bar with a wildly interesting Pinocchio theme and the famed encounter with Monstro the whale all the while serving the same offerings in Stowaway but with also an exclusive limited menu just for this adventure. With its proximity to Disneyland and its Enchanted Tiki Room, with the very niche underground-like society of tiki culture they found a consistent customer base and the thrill of island escapism through colorful cocktails, pleasurable pupus, tropical trimmings, and nostalgic know-how. How would my belly handle the beastly drinks concocted here!? PURCHASE(S) Gepetto's Last Words ($16.00): Intrigued by the cocktail's name, this elixir was crafted with Fid Street Gin, tangerine, creme de violette, lemon, and cucumber, it was a citrusy refreshing sweet drink that was decorated with bright yellow petals. It was nice, but for whatever reason it just didn't quite hit the spot. [ONION RINGS/STRAWS/STRINGS ALERT - 4.0 of 5.0 STARS] Onion Rings ($9.00): A decent portion with rings of medium to large sizes, these were hot, dark golden browned, crunchy, and had a slight tendency to crumble when bitten into while the onion ring (sweet Maui!) rarely pulled out at times. They were lightly oily while the catsup wasn't needed but used. SERVICE While in Stowaway, we informed our male server to let us know when we were allowed to enter the belly. Once inside and situated, we had the place and bartender to ourselves. After we all perused the menu, we placed our orders, and everything arrived within ten minutes. The rest of the time was spent chatting, picture taking, and our bartender checked in on us also giving a Dole Whip taster. All was casual, chill, and somewhat on island time - aloha and mahalo! PARKING (FREE): They shared a medium-sized private lot with several other businesses who were closed at this time with plenty of spots - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE "Hidden" inside Stowaway which was located within a strip mall, the entire theme was based on the Pinocchio story, the interlude in time spent inside Monstro, and as we entered it felt like the beginning of the Disneyland "Storybook" ride as you road a canal boat into the mouth and sharp teet of a whale. There were several marionettes (appropriate and non-appropriate) that hung from the ceiling and belly walls, along with other Disneyesque memorabilia, a few sitting booths, and a tiny bar at the end of the roo. No natural lighting whatsoever while an assortment of extremely low-lit electric lights and table candles glowed. There were no TVs while I couldn't recall any background music. ATTIRE Although I was actually dressed appropriately for the occasion in an aloha shirt, linen pants, and flip-flops, this place was totally casual, so a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops would suffice. OVERALL Belly Of The Beast was an adventurous fun evening with friends, it left me feeling childlike with the need to watch "Pinocchio", and I couldn't wait to return to try more of their awesome-soundling elixirs. I generally loved all-things Disneyana, and this new wrinkle, albeit probably not approved by the mouse ears brass, caught my fancy. My one drink was tasty but just didn't hit the right spot, the onion rings were very good, the prices were a tad elevated, the atmosphere was awesome, and the service was friendly and professional. They had an extremely limited menu, and there was some doubt whether or not ordering from the Stowaway menu was an option. Plus, I always preferred to support small local mom & pop businesses. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $27.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS

The ambiance is intimate by design: the bar seats only 20-30 people, wrapped tightly around the sushi counter. It's not the spot for a date night or a family outing, but for a quick lunch with one or two people, it's ideal. Service is speedy and consistently kind, which matters given the counter's close quarters -- everything moves efficiently without ever feeling rushed. Drinks are what you'd expect from a sushi bar: a solid rotation of Japanese beers and sake. Nothing adventurous, but a good, reliable selection. The food is where Rol shines. My wife and I always order a variety of rolls -- this visit, she loved the blue crab and scallop, while I couldn't get enough of the spicy tuna. The wasabi sauce and truffle soy sauce elevated everything, and are reason enough to keep coming back on their own. I've also had the truffle nori roll twice now, and while it's genuinely very good, I don't think it justifies the extra cost over the standard rolls -- the regular menu is strong enough that the upcharge doesn't feel necessary. Expect to spend around $50 per person for a satisfying lunch or dinner.
