Clean counter with the ServSafe certificate visible

I came here for lunch since I wish in the same plaza. I ordered the five piece chicken tender meal ( with a large fry and 20oz drink), which I split with a coworker. The food was ready quickly (almost too quick because my fries were cold ), within 25 minutes after ordering online. The inside of the restaurant was very clean and I appreciated the visibility of their ServeSafe certificate. I ordered the Louisiana Rub for my flavor and got ranch dressing as a dip per my coworker's request. The ranch dressing had a cool yet slightly sweet taste that's much better than the bottled stuff. My coworker insisted that we get the ranch for that reason and she didn't steer me wrong. The chicken tenders were well seasoned, the right amount of crispy, and were super moist with every bite. We were both satisfied with the value and quality of our meal minus the fries we had to microwave. I'll be back for lunch again.

Man oh man. The 1 star is for my wings because I can't lie, they were delicious. Went in ordered our wings and waited....and waited...and waited. There were about 3 people ahead of us, but our wait time was ridiculous! In the meantime, I'm noticing how filthy the place is. So we finally get our food, open it up and we're missing our celery and side of lemon pepper seasoning. Like I said, the wings were delicious but that's IT! The fries were limp, cold and seemed to have sat in grease. We opened the veggies, and they were almost molded. Went to wash my hands and the bathroom was an embarrassment. I will NEVER return here.

The food took probably 30mins to come out and now i understand why people do mobile orders because dinning in your food takes forever to come out! But the wings were okay. The fries were VERY soft and super bland definitely not worth $15. I wouldn't come back.

Just sitting here waiting for my food after already waiting TWICE the amount of time quoted.

Sadly, this is beyond the closest location for me. Our food was done on time for the FIRST TIME EVER last night. Yay Wingstop! One star! Needless to say, while the wings were good, we didn't get our veggies (we never do) or all our sauces...which is a big deal when you have to pay for them.

Slow service, greasy countertops, overly salted fries, 30+ minute wait for 8 wings, & the chicken strips taste like it's fish batter. Service is alright.

Meh, despite the good food and the convenient location (this Lendy's is much closer to me than…read moretheir General Booth location), the service - particularly the understaffing, is a problem. With Misako closed until mid-October (the owners are on a much-deserved vacation), this was an excellent opportunity to try out this Lendy's. Upon arrival, they were setting up for karaoke night (Tuesdays) and there were a few regulars already seated at the bar. This Lendy's appeared bigger than Anchor Allie's that was previously here. It's more spacious - full of games, TV's and the like. I decided to sit at the bar where I was greeted by their bartender, Courtney. Courtney was nice enough, but she was battling a neck injury which, I later learned, was the result of her, "falling down the stairs." That sucks, and she toughed it out simply by showing up for work. I remained patient throughout, but I was left to wonder what caused her to fall down the stairs. Anyways, Courtney took my drink order - Coke and a bottle of Bud Light. I received the Coke almost immediately, but after a few minutes she remembered the beer. She apologized, but it was all good since I was still looking at the menu (the long wait for the beer did factor into me not ordering another round, though). I eventually ordered a dozen wings and potato skins, and proceeded to relax and wait. In the meantime, that's when I noticed Courtney was the only person working the FOH, while the kitchen had one dude doing all the cooking (he was also the food runner). The food took a little time, but actually came out sooner than I anticipated. I chose garlic parm wings, and they were just as good as the wings I've had at the original Lendy's. The potato skins were also excellent, although the cheese could've been melted more. Regardless, the food remained the high point of my visit. I didn't finish either item, so I asked for a togo box and my tab at the same time. This is where my visit became an extended stay as Courtney continued to place me at the back of the line. Courtney took about five minutes to give me a togo box. She gave it to me without my tab, which meant I had to wait again for her to get that to me. In the meantime, she had to knock out orders for the other customers, then had to turn around and take an order for a big party who sat down behind me. The wait was understandable, but I did become antsy. After all that, Courtney gave me my tab, and I plopped down my card immediately so she'd know I was ready to get out of there. The check and my card sat at the edge of the bar for a few minutes before she came back for it. When she did, she ran my card, then proceeded to pour drinks for customers while waiting for the machine to print my receipt. I began to take issue when she stopped to chat with the regulars at the bar as if they were the only people in the restaurant. That lasted a good 5 minutes, then she proceeded to ignore me when one patron from the big party walked up to the bar to ask her for something. At this point, I finally blurted out, "May I have my check? PLEASE?" She had a look on her face that said, "S**t, I forgot," while I gave back a stare similar to Ice Cube in Friday when he said, "Bye, Felicia." Courtney ripped the receipt from that machine, gave that & returned my card, then quickly muttered, "Thank you for your patience." I was ready to turn into a-hole Justin and then gtfo there, but I said nothing, signed my receipt and proceeded to get the hell out. The real issue with this Lendy's is understaffing. My visit was a combination of events - dinner service, happy hour, and karaoke night. How are you not staffed for that? I could tell Courtney knows what's up, but leaving her alone (with just one cook) while working injured obviously resulted in subpar service. At the same time, taking extended time to chat with regulars pissed me off because I was obviously not important enough to receive the same attention. Lendy's, your food is good. But running understaffed and providing inconsistent service is garbage. I want to evenly split my visits to this shopping center between Misako, Lendy's, and Mommy Mom, but omitting Lendy's as a viable option has become easier after this visit. I'll give Lendy's another shot down the line, but if there's only 1 FOH person again when that day comes, I'm walking out. JV

I like how in the dining area, they put covers over the overhead lights so it isn't super bright. AND THE DRINKS ARE SOOOOOOO GOOD. First time we went, we overheard the waitress say she didn't want to serve us, she was exhausted. Rightfully so, she was the only server. We held nothing against the server, we were peeved with the owner. The woman with the light hair. Took what felt like forever to even get drinks. They were also out of a lot of food... which isn't necessarily a bad thing... but the items I wanted were no longer available so I just ordered the fried green tomatoes. They were fine, they just needed more sauce and a bit more seasoning in the breading! The poor server was just miserable while we were there, and the owner was just kinda walking around telling everyone what needed to be done, not quite helping, more so micro managing. We ended up tipping the poor girl $35. I hope she got to keep it all. Fast forward to this week. We tried it out again. It was a bit warm. We had been Instructed that they had family visiting and if it got too loud to let her know. The noise wasn't the issue at all. When we sat down we saw that it was 76° inside! We wanted to eat though, so we tried to tough it out. There was only one waiter and then another girl helping him serve the food. Again, and I don't know how it happened again, the boy had said to the lady he didn't want to serve us, there was too much going on. She had told him he was going to serve us, strike 1. We ordered all of our food at once to make the poor kid's life a bit easier. We didn't get drinks until about 20 minutes after sitting down. (The pineapple drink bangs btw). And we were literally sitting there DRIPPING sweat. Even the owner had beads of sweat alllll over her face. We ended up asking for our order to go. And my husband ordered his sandwich without Cole slaw. We said that literally a COUPLE of minutes after we ordered. The food magically appeared, and they had US package it all up. And my husband couldn't even tell the owner that he asked for no Cole slaw, but she kept talking over him. And she ended up being the "polite" kind of rude after we asked for our food to go. We weren't angry, we were just hot. But looking back on the bigger picture, it definitely angry. Especially for the young people they have serving. The poor server was so stressed so again, I do not blame the servers. We tipped that bot $25 and again, I hope he gets it ALL. I 100% put the blame on the owners. This place should be a food truck... not a restaurant. The bad reviews didn't make sense to me.... Until they did.

Though there weren't many people in the restaurant at all, the kitchen was really backed up and it took a long time for our food to come out. This didn't make sense at all honestly, so I'm not sure what the issue was. Didn't get to snap a picture, but they had a decent little amount of arcade games inside, which was pretty cool; wasn't expecting to see those in there. Also one of the dessert items I wanted to try: the salted caramel brownie, was out of stock, so I did have to change my dessert choice; unfortunately. To drink: I got the Watermelon Limeade (8.5/10) it was easy to drink, honestly just tasted like a fruity soda with a very tiny buzz to it. I would've liked it a bit more if it was a little stronger. Also tried the Dirty Berry Mojito (10/10) I absolutely loved the flavor of this Mojito and it was a lot stronger than the limeade. Def had a buzz after finishing it. After I was done, felt like I should've really just ordered two of the mojitos only. To eat: I got half Strawbenero BBQ (9/10) and half Spicy Garlic Ranch (6.5/10) boneless wings. The strawberry-habanero mix wings were really different and unique. When I first bit into them, I tasted the strawberry glaze and after a few more chews, that's when the spice settled in. I think it was different and actually pretty good. As for the spicy garlic ranch wings, I feel like they really tasted like regular buffalo sauce wings. I'm not sure if the kitchen mixed up what flavors I ordered, but they def tasted like regular buffalo and not anything garlicky or ranch flavor. Also did a side order of the loaded tots (2/10) the tots were cooked nice and crispy, but the loaded toppings had absolutely no flavor. There was chilli and cheese and after even giving the chilli a taste by itself, there was truly no seasoning in it at all. I wouldn't order this again. Also got dessert: the Cracker Jack Cheesecake (10/10) cheesecake is my favorite dessert, and I love the toppings of caramel and toffee; pretty sure it was supposed to have a chocolate drizzle on it, but the caramel was really good so no complaints. I totally see myself going back again, their hotdogs on the menu looked really really good and I would like to try some more of their unique wing flavors. My overall rate of experience : 7.7/10

Collards/cabbage - great mix, tender and seasoned well. Flying Spaghetti- baked spaghetti with 2 fried whole wings. The spaghetti lacked flavor/seasoning. Topped with cheese that was greasy. Fried wings - crunchy and not too salty. It was whole wings and pretty good. Meals came with cornbread and/or roll. The cornbread was nice and warm. Not too sweet and soft. Overall the food was ok. The last time I set foot inside their Pleasure House Rd location was at least 10 years ago. I celebrated my birthday there as my friends were kind enough to take me out. It was a Sunday morning and I sought out a place that offered brunch. I noticed 1608 was open and decided to head over, especially since I haven't visited them in ages. When I walked in, I noticed their dining room is dimly lit - much darker than I remember. I was greeted immediately by a kind hostess and she proceeded to sit me at a nearby table and provided me with menus (one food, one alcohol). I took my time looking over the food menu, and in the meantime I ordered a pint of Center of the Universe's Bald Irishman and a bottle of Boylan's Black Cherry soda (they do not have a soda fountain). What made this visit memorable was that 1608's bartender, Hunter, was an old acquaintance from back in my restaurant days. He spotted me and came over to say hi. After my meal, I continued to catch up with him at the bar. His presence made a pleasant experience even more fantastic. I thought I was hungry, so I ordered 2 dishes - Smoked Ham Fried Rice and the Breakfast Burrito. According to Hunter, every item is made fresh in house. After biting into each, you could tell that's true. Both the fried rice and burrito were delicious and boasted lots of flavor. Although I prefer my fried rice a bit simpler (if you give me just garlic fried rice, I am SET), 1608's fried rice (veggies, garlic, soy, basmati rice, 2 runny eggs, smoked ham) had a lot going on, which made for a flavorful dish. I liked the rice and the burrito (Korean style fried chicken breast, scrambled eggs, cilantro lime, cheddar, pico de gallo) a lot. I didn't finish either because it was a lot of food (I really thought I was hungry, haha). But these leftovers turned into a fantastic dinner later on. 1608 looked clean and organized, although I thought it was a little too dark inside, at least for brunch service. That's not a dealbreaker since everything from the food to the service was as excellent as I remember. I hope to return soon with my mom. Regardless, I'll find my way back eventually. Thank you, 1608 Crafthouse! And great seeing you again, Hunter! JV
