I've frequented the Wingstop in Santa Cruz for the last few years, so was pretty excited to see Wingstop return to Watsonville as its closer. This review is not on the food as I wasn't able to get any. First red flag for me to wait a few more months should of been that they currently do not have the online system going, in fact, online it says they are closed when after an initial phone inquiry yesterday, found out they were open at normal business hours. I read the reviews regarding the wait time so figured I'd give them a call today to order, except this time I got the answering machine. Tried again a half hour later, figured they were busy for the lunch-hour, but again, answering machine. I really should of stopped there, but decided that since they were open to drive 20 minutes to the location. At this point I was pretty certain I was going to get some wings. Went in and right before I ordered I'm told...Cash only. Sadly, did not have cash on me (would of brought some if I had been told that over the phone) and at that point after all of the above, just decided to not bother finding or using an ATM and went home wingless. So happy that Wingstop has opened up in Watsonville after the Freedom location was closed a few years back. Now we can get our wing fix without driving to Salinas or Gilroy. They also have bottled beer in their cooler. I personally like the dry rubs over the wet and the bone in (wings) have more flavor then without. The prior negative remarks from other Yelper's appear to be on the first few days the restaurant was opened. I would recommend that those individuals would give it another try and update their remarks as I was completely satisfied with my order and the staffs performance. read more

If I could not give a star I would. Only wing stop in Watsonville so we always try and give them a chance but, time after time they mess up the orders. 1st time we ordered the wings had no seasonings. It's like they fried them then forgot to sauce them. 2nd time I thought maybe the app messed up our order but no we got 2 combos and didn't receive our fries and the corn tasted like salt. Currently pregnant and craving so I caved in and called this 3rd time. Repeated my order and even the young lady repeated our order. Both wing combos were well done and extra sauces on wings and fries. Should've had my husband check the bag since they have priors to messing up and one combo completely had no sauce just loads of oil. In the other combo the 3 garlic parm wings were the only thing seasoned. Both fries were supposed to be well done extra seasoning and they were soggy cold and lacking flavor. He chose to eat since it was already past dinner. When I called and asked for a refund I was not raising my voice just stating how frustrating that I re read my order to clarify and double make sure they don't mess up and yet still some how messed it up AGAIN. By far the worst wing stop ive been to. Customer service sucked! We went there on a friday night 10ish ordered our wings all flats and asked to be extra well done, got a drink with our order as well. By the time we were done ordering we went to fill our drink and there was no soda, iced tea, NOTHING! I like this wingstop, they are always super friendly. When I ask for extra seasoning or any special order their always more than happy to make it work. I've been to other places and have gotten eye rolls when placing a special order and everyone so far has been great. The wait isn't too horrible like other wing stops either. Bathrooms are pretty decent for the most part. The only "down side" is that the place is pretty small only about 6 tables so is mostly of a to go place. I called and ordered a few orders of wings. My order was long and asked for different sauces, the manager repeated my order twice to ensure my order was correct. When I got there the wings were coming out, they looked nice and hot. They looked amazing and delicious as always. All the wings were made correctly and all the sauces were done right. Even if you order an hour in advance it could take an extra 20-30mins for your order to be ready. Walked in suprisingly the wait was short compared to other wingstops that I have been in. I was helped by Jessica she was very friendly and professional. The restaurant itself was in a good easy to find location. This location is very clean and we were able to get a table right away. I am glad they opened this location up, for being around 5:30-6pm this location isn't as busy as I was expecting it to be. Great job read more
