It's pretty far away from the downtown where everything else is but amazingly it still gets packed. The bar is pretty ramshackle inside but it's actually fairly clean it seems. A lot of the specials are on beers. It's about $3 for pints. The food menu has about what's expected along with a few surprises. It's about $12 for the Beyond Burger. Just got it with lettuce, onions, pickles, and tomatoes. A lot of meaty burgers. There's also paninis. For sure there's always something going on whether it's sports or some other games. The Tips were too fatty (as rib tips are supposed to be--what did I expect?) and I left them on the place after one small bite (To say I at least tried them) Brisket was ok, but I'm not a fan of brisket in general. I was beginning to think "Why in hell did I order a plate with stuff I know I don't enjoy in the first place?"--idiocy abounds! Now, the Chicken was another story-Moist and tasty, especially with the good selection of sauces on the table. Wife was full and did not finish most of her chix breast, and it wound up on my tray. I don't normally like chicken breast (I say it's food for people who don't like to eat), but surprisingly it was moist and yum. Really Yum with the house BBQ sauce applied. The star of the show, folks. The corn bread fell apart, and was pretty useless. The Greenie Beanies were edible, but not fabulous. Wife did not like ColeSlaw, but I did. The throw on the soft drinks was very good. If we come back it will be for the Chicken. I'll try the ribs again, 'cos like I said they were neither oversmoked or fatty. Epilogue: Wife ordered 2 smoked Turkey Breasts for Thanksgiving. They weren't bad, but they weren't anything special. Especially at $118 apiece! Slicing them the next day for sandwiches, the taste wasn't much better than the version I get at Mariano's for much less money. AAArrrrrgh! Caveat Emptor!
