I'm not one to eat from LongHorn anyway but my family said they weren't too bad the last time they went so I decided to try them again. I was proved right in my choice to abstain from this restaurant chain. I understand that it can be seen as a family type restaurant but it's simply not up to a certain standard. The water cups weren't cleaned well, the itty bitty pieces of steak were tuff and chewy despite asking for medium well, the food itself isn't exactly tasty.. they are just not a choice for me personally. Tonight we were suppose to be celebrating my nieces 13th birthday at a restaurant of her choice, Longhorn with laughs and happy birthday memories. But unfortunately her night ended with tears and an empty stomach! The service was poor the whole night. From arrival our reservation was for 7pm for 11 people for a birthday party! We got there at 6:45 told it was a 15 min wait 2x, turned into a 50 min wait. Finally seated... Gum was stuck to the top of the table where i sat and got stuck to my menu and phone. (disgusting) Next drinks and appetizers ordered immediately due to the long wait everyone was ready to order we were assigned 2 servers. 1 only saw them 2x the whole night. Appetizers came out AFTER entrees and the remaining appetizers came at the end of dinner! (THE END of dinner at 9:29pm) The appetizers that came out were cold and had to be sent back for fresh ones 2x. 11 people only 1 entree came out at a time, so we couldn't eat together. Entrees were burned and had to be sent back and almost every entree was missing 1 side. We waited 35 min for the bill and only received 1 round of drinks that were never refreshed and the birthday girls meal never came. The worst service I ever received her birthday was ruined no desert, no happy birthday. The waiters did nothing to make this a special night even after being told this was bday celebration several times! This was a great experience dining here to my surprise. Firstly, the aesthetic is very cowboy, western, southwest, my favorite style really. The restaurant is on the moody side, dim lights, wrought iron. We had Dawn as our server and she was nice, helpful and my shy toddler was shockingly a big fan of hers. She provided us an allergy menu and made safe recommendations for our child. Perhaps most importantly the food was good. I have never been so disgusted during a dining experience. First, there were bugs flying around while we were trying to enjoy our appetizer. We never received our salads, the table across the aisle and behind our table were dirty from the time we sat down to the time we left, nor had we seen our server since she took the order. I complained to the manager and the correction was to partially clean the table and the server reappearing to stress if we still wanted the salads. Was fairly disappointed during our visit. It is only our second time going to a Longhorn Steakhouse after our first visit to the Oswego location being a great one. First, it took nearly 10 minutes after being seated for a server to come to our table. Then, we didn't get enough silverware and took another 10 minutes to get that. The food tasted great but gave our entire family stomach issues when we got home. The ambiance was mediocre at best. Will definitely go to the Oswego location the next time we are craving a reasonably priced steak. read more

At first glance it's a pretty standard chain steakhouse. The food was fantastic, though. The steak was cooked just right, and my only complaint with the sides was that too many brussels sprouts. (Seriously, who can eat that money? Brussels sprouts? And they were really good, too.) We got the stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer and the cheese that was melted on top of them was just outstanding. They have a baked macaroni and cheese on the regular menu, but the children's menu includes Kraft mac and cheese. We went here for a family dinner on a weekend. Very busy on a Saturday night, but you can put yourself on the waiting list online when you're on the way there, so we ended up waiting about 5 minutes whereas walk-ins were being told they had an hour wait. Don't fill up on bread and salad, tasty though they are, because the star of the show here is steak and you will want to eat every bite! Being a steakhouse, they really did get the doneness accurate. My fiance and I had Ribeyes and my mom and brother had filets and everyone enjoyed their meals. Our waitress (Morena I believe?) was very nice, checked in with us despite how busy it was, kept the water refills coming, and when we ordered made sure to run through the whole order including desired doneness and sides for each person, and everything came out perfectly! Service was very fast and friendly. I really enjoyed the warm bread and butter. The Caesar salad was a huge portion and also tasty. For my main meal I had the 9 oz filet. It was cooked how I ordered. I ask an employee and he says "yeah that's the ribeye, it's just a difference shape." I take a bite. Its a stripsteak. Im frustrated, but I eat it still. Not that it wasn't good, just not what I ordered. Bill was a bit on the high side for my tasty, but it's whatever. Western theme, I think it's cure. My Mother ordered steamed asparagus. I'm a creature of habit and always order usually the same thing but why change if it's good those spicy chicken bites are amazing for $6.99 you couldn't beat it you can't even get 10 piece from McDonald's for $6 ... Baked french onion... Always on point... Their New York strip steak is amazing .. cooked perfectly and the one thing that I love about longhorn is their charcoal grill... Order was set for 5:35 pick up check in at 5:36 because of the parking spots were full. People parked in the pick up only for not a pick up and nothing being done about that. Tried calling sat on hold for 5 minutes and decided to go in now it's a half hour after my pick up time. The food was not prepared correctly and the food was cold. I understand it's busy but not a good enough excuse for this bad service. Then the girl that was bringing out my food said she didn't have mine but the guy behind her running food said she had my food. It's going to take some time before I try this place again. Have been here many times and always had a positive experience until our most recent visit last week. My husband and I took my 87 year old mother there for dinner. We arrived at 5PM. The place was empty. We walked in and were told by the hostess it would be a 20 minute wait. Not sure what we were waiting for since the place was pretty empty. I normally don't mind waiting but this time I was annoyed. My mom is diabetic & needs to eat at a certain time. It's located conveniently in a nice area across from the Promenade and Bass Pro Shops. The price point is well below the average for the quality/type of the food. Love their salmon here. Tastes great with the rice it comes with. My fiance loves Longhorn - he's always opting to go here every chance he can get. Their mango margarita is SO good! Their strawberry margarita tastes a little too sour for me, but their mango is to die for. We had dessert too. My fiance loves their chocolate cake. I tried their lava cake, which was ok, but it tasted kind of rubbery oddly. Other than that, everything here tastes great! read more
