This hidden gem of a restaurant was recommended by our Airbnb hosts. Its location could not be beat on a cold rainy day since it was just steps from our door. Reservations are recommended, since it has limited seating so fills quickly. The friendly multilingual owners provided personalized attention and recommendations, from food to wine. The menu varies week by week, and we could not choose one dish so got the chefs menu. The chef's menu is very reasonably price for what is provided. It included 5 smaller sized dishes. The first dish was tartare of celeriac with red wine gravy nestled around a poached egg yolk topped with shaved winter truffle and mushrooms. Next, we got perfectly cooked, tender scallops served with a delicious caramelized yogurt sauce. Next, slivers of duck topped with crisp kale. The locally-caught mullet was fresh, flavorful, and slightly sweet. It was served with a contrasting bitter catalogna. The evergreen salad with oxtail - porcini dumpling, were topped with chips of Jerusalem artichoke. We ended our meal with panna cotta, which was sweet fluffy vanilla goodness worthy of an angel. All dishes were beautifully presented, and tasted just as good as they looked. read more
