This was my first visit to the location at AECOM building after a few visits at the Galleria location prior to relocating here. My oldest son and I arrived a little after 12:00 on a Monday. We had approximately a 10 minute wait. When we were seated the service was poor. I had ordered a beer and was never asked about an additional one. My water was never refilled. My son never had his water refilled either. Waitress never asked how our sandwiches were. I had the pulled pork sandwich special. It was good but I think there were more onion straws than actual meat on my sandwich. My son got a burger and subbed out onion rings instead of steak fries. There was like a $3.00 upcharge for the onion rings. For as much as I have loved the Lizard in the past this location has a really generic feel to it and the service was horrible. My next visit to Cleveland I'll be looking at other options. read more

The Winking Lizard has a wonderful location and a vast menu, and with a little more service enthusiasm this could be a wonderful place. We stopped by while visiting the local area, and this location is convenient both to the Hilton DoubleTree and to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame museum. We grabbed a couple of salads for lunch, and sat outside - they have a nice patio seating area with both covered and uncovered seating, as well as an inside dining area and what appears to be an active take out business. Food was good - standard bar / lunch food. Pricing is quite reasonable averaging less than $20 per person all in. Our server, Markus seemed less than enthusiastic to be working on the day of our visit, but I'm confident he'll find a new career soon. Overall, a fine opportunity to grab a quick lunch. read more

Great (and very large) beer list -- the server helped with a suggestion based on my preference that turned out to be a winner. The outdoor seating area was quite nice given the pleasant weather in June. I had some wings which were decent and a burger and fries. The wings were a touch overcooked but tasty. Right next to the hotel however the internal walkway/breezeway from the lobby was closed for construction. So I'm hoping the hotel entrance is ready before the cold snowy weather sets in. I was in town for a convention and this place was around the corner from where we were in very convenient store for three days in a row me and my buddy would come sit at the bar at the end, get a drink and watch the crowd. Busy Place, great service from barkeepers and well-managed. I got some wings one day and a burger another day, just simple meals for me but just what I needed to keep me going for the convention. It's good to be recognized on the second day and the third day immediately by the team and already had my beer ready the second day as soon as I sat down. It was only here on idle time so didn't really invest time into the menu but the food look fantastic all around, large menu and mostly a great staff that took good care of us. Thank you to all the Yelpers for finding this place for me. In town for a conference and this was a great place for an early dinner. The hamburgers were tremendous-I had the Wild Western Burger because they have a house BBQ sauce- and an order of the Bavarian Pretzels sticks. The taste was perfect, a combination of not too much of any one thing with a perfectly cooked medium patty. My only regret was not being hungry enough for dessert but I blame those incredibly tasty pretzels for that! The server was very friendly and attentive to our meals and l would definitely return. Casual enough for shorts and a T shirt with prices that were very fair for the quality and the quantity of food. My only gripe is having to listen to the man at the desk, maybe some sort of lead, fuss at a worker about what not to do at the front (reception) area. Before heading to the Cavaliers vs Nuggets game at the Rocket Mortgage Field House, stopped by the Winking Lizard Tavern for some food and beverages. The tavern is located in a mall in Erieview. Inside you'll find a large bar and several large screens that were airing various games for the NCAA basketball tournament. Our server was awesome and took great care of us and although she was quite busy in her section still took the time to answer our questions and take our drink and food orders. The beverages were quite tasty and kept up with our consumption rate. Our food arrived and I had a bbq chicken club sandwich with thick cut fries. Tried out some of their house sauces and the bbq sauce was a favorite. The walls have several vintage framed album covers and concert posters and even featured a circa 1975 Eagles "One of These Nights" tour poster. Very cool. The location is great but the staff were fantastic which combined with the food and beverages made our visit memorable. Highly recommended when in Cleveland. read more

Stopped for happy hour. Quick and friendly service. Nice location with entrance in the Galleria building. Same quality food and beer selection as other locations. Only down side is parking. Looks like most cars out front are getting ticketed, one towed. Parking garage near by but a walk and who wants to deal with a parking garage just to get good wings and great beers? Great location for Browns game, Rock Hall, and Science center, but a tough place to park just to stop for happy hour. read more

We've been to the Gateway location of the Winking Lizard & this trip we stopped at the 9th St location a total of 3 times. We stopped for drinks around sunset on a Thursday night & not having been to this location before we planned to sit inside at the bar which is what we told the hostess. Then we saw they had a nice outdoor patio which was almost empty & decided to sit outside and we were immediately chastised for not telling the hostess. I get it, but there were probably 10+ empty tables & so it didn't occur to us-and the 20 something chick chastising a group of 50's-60's ladies was kinda insulting. Our server was a doll though & was fine with us sitting there & having a few drinks since we had just come from dinner. They have a MASSIVE beer & mixed drink list. Really, huge. We returned the next day for lunch & again sat outside and actually had the same sweet server who remembered us. The Hanson burger was quite tasty (mushroom, Swiss & onions) & came with steak fries. They actually have one of those soda fountains will a zillion choices of flavors too. I had a diet peach Fanta. Unusual. We had friends join us the following day for another lunch, much more crowded inside & out. College football on TV inside & at outside bar. I had the same burger. The food is not spectacular, but I had no real complaints. My friend said the turkey sandwich & gyro were also good. Sports bar type food, everything decently good, but basic. It's definitely a drinking place before a foodie place. It's about 2 blocks up the hill from the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame so better than eating at the Rock Hall Cafe if you're a tourist. Typical sports bar. Our waitress was great, even though my order wasn't exactly correct. I ordered a full ceasar salad with no croutons but was given a side salad with croutons. Simple mistake but I definitely made sure I was only charged for what I actually received. The sale was ok, I'd order it again if I come back, but nothing special. A trip to Cuyahoga National Park would not be complete without paying a visit to this place. From blogs to locals, they all recommended this place as part of the itinerary. To my pleasant surprise, this place is not just recommended because it's one of the only few eateries available, but it actually tastes good and is worth the visit! I mean even if they are located in downtown somewhere, I would still recommend it. The place is spacious and huge with the vibe of a sports pub. There are TV everywhere playing various different sports. The tables are buzzing and everyone is busy. The menu is very American--wings, nachos, wraps, burgers, and various things from the grill like ribs and chicken dinner. It was a pretty huge menu and everything looks great so decision was tough. They certainly take pride in their wings in which they have more than a dozen of sauces to choose from ranging from the mildest to the spiciest. The wings are also available in two options: classic and boneless (which are actually chicken tenders). Being an avid fan of spicy food, I thought of going for "Fire in the Hole" which was their spiciest option, but didn't want to upset my stomach on a vacation, so I went for Thai. Aside from that we shared St. Louis Rib Dinner. The boneless wings are actually crispy and tender. I wish it is more saucy. The Thai sauce was not as spicy as I initially expected. It was pretty good actually. The kind of spicy where you can still taste the flavors instead of just the burn. The rib was tender with slight cripsness at the burnt ends. Fall of the bone, no less. I have to start with the fact that they make their own salad dressings. Excellent sign of tasty food. However, I only got a steak spinach salad, so this review is somewhat limited. I ordered the steak med, it was almost med rare but was excellent, my greatest restaurant fear is overcooked meat. YIKES! So between a perfectly cooked steak and homemade salad dressings (I had ranch but I think all were homemade) I would totally recommend coming here. Service was mediocre at best as I believe both bartenders had too many tables and it took more time to get their attention to even get drinks. Went to eat after taking my nephew to a show. Tried to order a Buffalo wrap, same warp I have gotten for 20 years. I've ordered before the World Series, NBA Championship, and Browns games. Apparently they couldn't do wraps today because the Indians were playing. The place was half full, why have a limited menu??? The other week tried to use the patio before a Browns game, but they wouldn't let anyone on it because it was at capacity on tbe inside. They said people would go from patio to inside, I suggested putting 1 of the 3 security standing at entrance to patio on the door to inside. Just got a look like a deer in headlights.
