I'm new to the community and experienced a delightful extension of Customer Service at this Publix. I was cashing out my purchase on Wednesday 9/16 at around 6:45 pm, with the pleasant & smiling Cashier, Jennifer! With my hands full...out of nowhere comes this diligent & perceptive store Clerk, named MaryAnne, who gathered up my 3 shopping bags and placed them on my right arm in a flash. :0) Her quick assistance had me ready to head for my car without having to move my purse, tuck my keys in my pocket or do anything else. I appreciated her pro-active thinking to meet the needs of the customer! That small action of "caring" and doing such a stellar move, that benefited me, MADE MY EVENING! Publix had become the leading supermarket in Florida and has since expanded throughout the southeastern United States. They became the leading supermarket by putting a strong emphasis on customer service. They bring the adage "the customer is always right" to new levels. Add to this fantastic BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals and that alone makes for a winning combination. Add to this the iconic subs that they make in their deli (affectionately known as Pub Subs) and they become virtually unbeatable. These subs are pretty amazing. I usually go with their Italian sub or their roast beef. Both are excellent and I guess anything you would order at their deli counter would be a winner. I must say that I would definitely recommend this particular location or any Publix, for that matter. I choose to give it five stars for their steps in making sure a visit to a Publix is always a wonderful experience. I give it five stars. read more

Went for pneumonia vaccine yesterday specifically asking for Pneumovax and that is what my dr wrote on his prescription as he wanted me to have that brand. I told three people that I was to get the Pneumovax brand....even the person injecting me assured me it was. But the receipt said PREVNAR which is NOT what my doctor wanted. And their excuse? They follow their own protocol regardless of what the doctor ordered. I kid you not. read more

I came here a few Sundays ago to pickup a catering order I put online, plus grab all the small things I couldn't order online. The Deli was great, had everything ready and packaged and only took a moment to put everything into my cart. Then I had to grab the cake & cookies. There was a woman working in the bakery that morning - Sunday October 17th, I wish I had gotten her name. I picked up the birthday cake and told her it was for my nieces first birthday party that day. I went about shopping for the other stuff and as I was checking out she came running up, literally running, to make sure I hadn't left yet. She came back 2 minutes later with a mini smash cake that perfectly matched the birthday cake. She wanted to make sure the birthday girl had a smash cake just for her. What she did not know is my brothers funeral was the day before and this first birthday party was one of the hardest days of our lives - celebrating without him felt like no celebration at all. I was an absolute zombie of a human, but her gesture was just such a sign that there could still be happiness in the day even through the pain. It was really kind and sweet, and incredibly thoughtful and probably meant more to me than she realized. Thank you! read more

Ordering a sub in person or online is terrible. If you go into the store be prepared to wait a very long time and then wait it gets even better after you've waited the meat for the sub you want they don't have. So you think I will order online then make life easier. That is a figment of your imagination. They have a place for special instructions so you write those instructions for some reason thinking it will be read and followed. You pay online and pick it up on time to later open it to see that NO your special instructions was not followed. Such a waste to go here anymore, it just makes my blood boil. When you do complain about it you get the "I'm sorry" but nothing changes. I probably sound like a complainer but after constant disappointment in this store I had to write this. Oh and beware of the products I have personally gotten rotten yuca, moldy bread, moldy pizza dough (they make "fresh") and raw chicken from the hot and ready. They also have had expired products on the shelf so make sure you are checking the expiration date on everything just to be sure. Just sad because I really like Publix. read more

The deli is a hot mess, I understand we are in the age of electronics but in my opinion this Publix had lost their customer service skills. When the employees have 5 online orders and 7 customers in line with two people making on line subs no one taking care of the customers in front of them. In my line of work the customer that is standing in front of you is the most important customer because they are there physically. Yes, all the online subs need to be made but I overheard one of the young ladies say that this sub was supposed to be done at 11:15 and it was now 11:17 yet the customer wasn't there to pick it up. My only guess is that management puts the online orders in front of the in store. Customer orders. I do not blame the employees and I would never raise my voice to any of them. They are following what they are told. Management and leadership have a big issue there. I have had to special order moose tracks because they do not keep enough in stock at any one given time. When I ordered him two weeks ago, we never received a phone call that they were in and we went to the store and asked about it and it took them over 30 minutes to get us any information back. Again, this is a Publix stocking item I'm comparing the store to the one on County Road 220 and the one on Highway 17 in Fleming Island and also the one off of 9A management along with leader ship, create the culture of the store. When you don't have those two items, senior management needs to take a step back and see where things are going wrong. That store could be so much more than what it is right now. read more

I'm originally from the north, I'm definitely not used to people working in the grocery store to ask me how I'm doing and offer extra assistance. OMG! Let me tell you! I've been a lot of grocery stores meaning CA has tons of chain grocery stores from Ralphs, Vons, Pavillions, Stater-bros, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, winco, food for less and this one by far has the absolute best customer service....I asked for bean sprouts in the produce section because I know they sell it & I eventually told the worker it's ok maybe you guys are out or it's seasonal and I'll just continue with my shopping...well 10 minutes later I see the gentleman on the floor and the manager literally go out of their way just to find me on the complete opposite end of the store to hand me not one but 2 bags just in case I needed 2 bags, well I took the 2 bags and thanked them profusely for their amazing customer service....you go to any of the above grocery stores I'm use to going and they will just say No we are out or it's not is season & not even bother to go look in the back....thank you Publix...as a new person in this town....these acts of kindness makes us feel a lot more welcome! I didn't have ti drive out 40 mins to Jacksonville to get a bag from an Asian market....saved me time & my beef bone pho that night was complete! read more

I prefer to go to this publix over wall mart due to its cleanliness and not so busy atmosphere. They don't have the selection that Walmart has nor the prices but I don't have to deal with the crowds. It's just a more relaxed shopping experience for me. The produce and meats is another big reason why I prefer to go to this publix. The meat and produce are way more fresh. If publix could lower there prices I would give them five stars. read more

Says total transparency won't list baked date of bakery goods. MANAGER insists there bakery is better than Walmart, haha. Will let people with more than ten items go to the 10 items in fewer line, Cahsiers told not to say anything. Manger says they will tell people it is the 10 item or only line. Also manager does not know about the total transparency initive Publix says they are on. read more

This is our local Publix and overall I have always been satisfied, however this 5 Star is directed to the Bakery. I don't know her name, but the lady who went the extra mile to make this cheesecake cookie sandwich ... I thank you. You made the wife happy and you know how the saying goes. Publix stores are always very clean, and the associates always seem like they enjoy working there.

I prefer Publix for an overall shopping experience. However can not give 5 stars due to their deli. I have stood too many times at their deli counter and not be acknowledged much less waited on. I have discussed with Manager more than once- still occurs, their own employee standing in line with me at one time (1st & 2nd in line) concurred that it was an ongoing problem. I can get much better service at Walmart and Winn Dixie ( which is why Winn Dixie received my $100 + deli order for Christmas Eve Festivities). read more
