I am a big value shopper and I love generic and private label items when they are of good quality and they deliver. We got some Winn Dixie cereal that was almost 50% cheaper per unit ounce than the national brand. If the taste and nutrition are similar, do yourself a favor and save some money by getting the private label items......I know many people are very loyal to national brands, that is ok too.....this option is for those who are seeking value. I have been ordering cakes from this Winn-Dixie bakery for about three years, and until now I have always had a great experience. This time, I called to order a cake and asked if they could make the same Tres Leches cake, but with chocolate cake instead of vanilla. I was told it was impossible because they didn't have the proper cake form. I was surprised since the only change I requested was the cake flavor. When I asked to speak with a manager, Felix came to the phone. Instead of trying to understand my request or offering alternatives, he repeatedly raised his voice and kept telling me that I was insisting on something they could not make. The conversation left me feeling upset and unappreciated as a loyal customer. Ironically, they still accepted my order for a Tres Leches two-layer cake with one vanilla layer and one chocolate layer, with cream in between. That made it even more confusing why my original request was supposedly impossible. I still believe this bakery is one of the best in the area, which makes this experience even more disappointing. However, the way I was treated by Felix will make me think twice before ordering another cake here, and I would hesitate to recommend the bakery to others based on this experience. I sincerely hope Felix receives additional customer service training. A little patience, respect, and willingness to help would make a tremendous difference for every customer. read more

Not a big fan of this store. They don't have shopping baskets -- only carts. They assume every shopper is buying 50 items or more I guess. Most all the employees don't speak English either which is a problem when you need assistance finding something. I asked a stock lady where trash bags were and she said they don't have them. Lol Maybe she thought I was saying "trash cans". They do have the BOGO vitamins which can be a good deal. read more

First you look at there add, they mention on price for and article on sale for that week, you arrive at the store, the price is different, more money ,if you find somebody working there that speak English, to talk about the price difference , you will be lucky,, and if you go at the front desk to talk about the merchandise you wanted to buy, and showing her, the different prices , she role her eye at you , like she want to say " no big deal, ", what are you a cheap scathe ? Again, you don't know which language she talk, because they only thing she does is again breathing hard at you, like " that customer is a pain" I bought 4 articles and 2 of them had the wrong prices. If I would not request had to have the prices they were suppose to be , my order would had cost me $7. More $7. In my pocket is better than in Winn Dixie's pocket . The lack of service at the deli counter just kills me every time I walk up and stand there waiting to be acknowledged even by "the deli manager" if you could call her that. All included none have the basic training to keep their head on a swivel and jump when a customer walks up. why am I always waiting?! I wish that this was a Publix! They know service. read more

I've been treated unfairly at this location multiple times. First time I didn't say anything. Second time I spoke to a manager. Today I had an employee move me to another lane while I was waiting in line with one customer in front of me. The other lane was longer and I didn't question it I moved over. He closed the lane. The lane I was currently on started to build up within minutes. The same employee reopened the lane he just closed and kicked me off for maybe 3 minutes and personally pulled over a large group of customers to come to the lane I was kicked off of. When I got to the cashier and he started to ring me up I asked him why was I kicked off the lane only for him to close it and reopen it right back without at least calling me back over first because I was next? He gave me a response that didn't fully answer the question. Another person overheard me saying what happened to the manager and said they're racist and she experienced racism at this location before as well. Y'all gotta do better at this location. I've never disrespected or mistreated anyone here before. I used to give $20 tips to the cashiers every time I shopped there just because. I'm not saying I won't go there again. I live about a mile from that store. Every time I go do my shopping there,I come back home with half I need only.you look at there weekly circular and make yourself a grocery list, and you cannot find it as they advertise or they don't have it. This morning Wednesday, where their sale start. 10 AM, i was in their store.I wanted to buy St. Louis Ribs they advertised, I could not find them so I asked one of the person that work in the meat department, and he went to check in the back for me because there was none on their display. He came back and said they were out of them. How can that be when this is the first day of the sale,the store open at 7 am, so 3 hours later they are sold out. When I questioned on that time frame, he answer, that they did not get a delivry. A lost of time to shop there, when there is other ,better grocery store around. read more

Excellent with a new experience with a newer checking out system. With my food and bagging the groceries "just so". Payment either with a method of cash, credit card or debit with securing a payment. I am trying to coordinate digital coupons along the way. As a need with assistance/help of need with helping an individual help is available. Any thing possible in allowing for an easy process with assisting the process and saving money to be passed to the customer and the store. There was a quiet tone throughout the supermarket with a handful of early day shoppers, while a few of the employees was stocking shelves. This Winn-Dixie located in West Hallandale may not be the best one I've been to, but overall, I like their weekly prices on items. You can stock up and save on essentials with the BOGO's at Winn-Dixie. The 10 for $10 and Buy 5 Save $5 deal gives you the option to mix & match items. If you're clueless on what to make for yourself or your family, Winn-Dixie has a make-a-meal deal where if you purchase a selected product, you get a few items along with it for free. I have to say, at times, Winn-Dixie has better sales than Publix. The only bad experience I had with Winn-Dixie was with their ecoupons. It worked fine the first time I tried it, and I felt good knowing I was saving a little money by just uploading coupons to my WD reward card; but when using the ecoupons on two different shopping occassions failed and it didn't reduce the cost of the products I purchased, I became puzzled and upset. I spoke to management about the situation and he didn't understand why the ecoupons didn't work...oh whatever. Now this minor problem didn't persuade me to stop shopping at Winn-Dixie, it just persuaded me to go back to the old fashioned way of clipping coupons. read more

This location before this week I hadn't been to in years. Than this past week I realized I always pass this location when I exit 95 to go to the one that is directly East on Hallandale Beach Boulevard. So in order to save time I decided to shop here. I found everything I needed including Matzo even though Passover is coming to an end. You can use your Plenti card here in place of the Winn Dixie rewards and it saves you on whatever is on special. I was looking for an item and found an employee who gave me correct information. That's always a plus. This location looks well worn I hope it doesn't close like so many other Winn Dixie locations that I had previously shopped. If they do close I hope the replacement is Trader Joe's I prefer them to Publix. Publix I pride myself I stopped shopping at years ago and never look back. Parking lot is easy to get in and out of either exit back onto Hallandale Beach Boulevard or if you need to go to the side street just Eastside of parking lot to go to the light to head West or back on 95. read more

This store sells rotten meat and fish! I spent over $20 on a pre-marinated pork loin and some salmon fillets on Dec. 3rd. Got home and wanted to make the salmon but it was slimy and smelled! The sell by date was that same day but it was clearly not edible already. Then I looked at the pork - "sell or freeze by Nov. 30th". Awesome. Might as well have flushed a $20 bill down the toilet. I've also gotten fried chicken at this store that had been sitting under the lamp for so long that it was dry as a bone and stuck to the cardboard. So either they are willing to risk selling people rotten food that could make them violently ill to save a buck, or their management is terrible at doing their job. Or both. read more

This is not the greatest Winn Dixie grocery store but very convenient from my location and it's off the freeway, easy access. The plaza is a bit busy because of Wendy's, Denny's and DD's Discount Store. The only thing new about this grocery is the shopping carts. The one thing I'm a bit disappointed about is the self checkout, they completely took that out and now the lines are always long, but when it gets to that point of help needed, they do pay attention to that. The prices are pretty reasonable and stays low. We receive weekly ads and that does come in handy when it's time for grocery day shopping. The selections of fruits and vegetables are kind of minimal and most times they don't have it, such as cilantro, ginger, green onion. So i end up going down the street to Walmart to grab n' go. The employees are very friendly and attentive to the customer. Pretty clean and well put up. Nothing wrong with this neighborhood grocery store. It's already in my books. read more

Some things are super cheap, others are stupidly expensive. The woman working at the deli counter is possibly turning 89 tomorrow and also can't hear very well. Because of her I severely over paid for my turkey. They only had olive hummus available, according to my dad. That's gross. The vegetables all look depressed and I don't blame them. The apples I bought were mealy. I don't expect all supermarkets to follow in the footsteps of Whole Foods but they made a REALLY big deal about their organic selection... all four items. I only come to this store for emergencies since it's pretty close to where we live. But this Winn-Dixie is pretty weird. Depending on the day or time, you see a good array of characters coming in lol! Also I noticed that sometimes the shelves are barely stocked. The produce is not so great at times. Yea... This Winn Dixie is horrible. I only come here for emergencies. No self check out so you have to wait in long lines since there are only 3 cashiers working. The customer service line is horrible too. There is someone always buying Western Union which takes forever. I find the prices are high for such a dump. I always tell my boyfriend that I'm going to call Winn Dixie headquarters and report this store. I wish they would just close it down and put something else here.
