This review is specifically about the pharmacy department, not the grocery store. The pharmacy is consistently slow and poorly managed. Refills turn into unnecessary delays, and instead of proactively resolving issues, they send automated text messages telling you to call them. There is no clear communication and no accountability. They also do not apply available discounts unless you specifically ask and push for it. I was initially quoted a much higher price, and only after insisting did they adjust it to the correct discounted amount. Patients should not have to argue to avoid overpaying. The overall experience feels disorganized and inefficient. If you are relying on timely prescriptions or accurate pricing, this pharmacy location is frustrating to deal with. read more

Tonight we brought in a roasted chicken ribs and Mac and cheese. The chicken tasted like roasted cardboard, the ribs were like burned wood chips and Mac and cheese was old and crusty. Not going back there for any prepared food. It was all inedible! This was a horrible night! read more

Sushi is Wednesday for $5.00. Great deal. The customer service at this Publix is unfortunate. Most employees and I have had this experience multiple times here, act like they are doing you a favor and or make it so obvious that it is a half hearted attempt to help you. I am speaking about the people on the floor. Stocking and turning around product and seafood departments. The other night I was asking about sushi items and these young men, one floor and one seafood department just had an entire conversation before they asked if I needed anything. Amazing the ethic. However the store is clean and the bakery and deli are always friendly and helpful. Guest services can be a hit or miss in attitude and friendliness. Cashiers are okay, never nothing exceptional but they bag my groceries well and I'm happy about that. read more

I placed my order for 2 subs at 11:22 am to be picked up at 1 pm. I arrive and of course one sandwich is ready and the other still has yet to be made. I'm the next person in line but the lady making online orders skips me to ask the man behind me what his name is and proceeded to leave the sandwich making area to assist the customer behind me in line to find his order. When I ask her why she skipped me like that she states she has 50 online orders to make but doesn't really address my concern. I've always liked publix and their sandwich and deli but today was unacceptable. read more

I stopped in here to pick up a few things and I was in and out pretty quickly, thanks to the nice manager who assisted me. Not the nicest or the most decorated Publix, but I have to mention how friendly and helpful the employees were. I was here during the day and the area looked a bit run down, and the clientele less than desirable. I lived in Hallandale back in the 80's and I think it was much safer back then. Staff and all customers were wearing a mask. My shopping cart was wiped down before I entered the store. It felt good to see Publix taking the necessary steps to keep us all safe. read more

After dealing with a nightmare of an experience at the Hallandale CVS pharmacy, the staff at the Hallandale Beach Publix Pharmacy was a breath of fresh air :) They were all so kind and compassionate. They were empathetic, helpful, and quick. I highly recommend transferring to them if you currently deal with CVS. read more

I WOULD HONESTLY GIVE THEM 0 STARS.. just saying. Just started picking up prescription medications from this location and EVERY TIME it is the WORST experience. The manager is a tall blonde female who is actually the rudest one out of all the employees. The right side of her face hangs lower then the left so you can definitely point her out. I arrived at 6:58 when they close at 7 & the Manger was the only one behind the counter when I then saw her having conversations with the Publix employees. I stood there for about 7 minutes when she then finally came to speak to me after looking at me 4 times. My prescription was supposed to be ready on the 19th but since I came at 6:58 she said they were closed and she could not fulfill my needs (I said it nicer than she did). She had the most disgusting attitude considering she works at a pharmacy where she's supposed to be helping people pick up medications because they don't feel well and she actually gives you more anxiety leaving the store. I don't know how people can still be so rude after everything this world is going through.. now I have to wait ANOTHER day feeling like crap because someone was too lazy to do their job. read more

Do not bother ordering online. You would get your food faster if you just go in stand in line and wait. Because they do not give any concern to their online app until you go in and ask.. And after you ask there will be a great deal of scurrying around to not have to make your order it is ridiculous. read more

The produce in this Publix is hit or miss. My husband does the shopping for us. Bagged salads and precut apples are always bad before expired dates. It's really my husbands fault for not looking into the containers before purchasing, but he shouldn't really have to. Whenever I'm in the East Hallandale area, I like to shop at this Publix. The store is busy with people and is always clean. I was on my way to check out a few items when I heard an announcement that free samples of cherry-cranberry relish & baked spinach alfredo was being given at the Publix aprons simple meals station. I decided to check it out. I got there just in time, more people were coming to stand in line. The lady that was handing out the samples was subtle. She scooped up a small amount of the cherry-cranberry relish & spinach alfredo on to a little plastic plate and handed it to me. The spinach alfredo was ok. Just from the taste, the alfredo sauce couldn't hide the fact that the spinach was from a frozen package; and what I thought to be croutons was only cubed garlic Texas toast. The cherry-cranberry relish was a bit too tart for me and I couldn't force myself to take another bite. I then proceeded to check out and on my way home. read more

When I entered this store, african American lady who worked at front of the store almost hit me with a cart!!!She was going so fast!!! I just spent 40 minutes to get a sandwich and a wrap. Ridiculous! I wish they had more staff in the deli. There was one person making sandwiches for the online orders and another for the people in line. They have 3 stations and they should be used when there is a long line of customers waiting! Well, this Publix is always crowded and I don't find their prices to be so great, but I love their deli and bakery (yummy and inexpensive empanadas, GREAT salmon and Cobb salads in their prepared food section) and actually they have some well priced simple salads (veg/fruit) in the produce section. The customer service area is frequently packed but the folks behind the counter work really hard to acknowledge everyone and to help each person with whatever they need. Similarly, Liz, in the Liquor Section next door, went out of her way to help me when I needed boxes for some packing and moving. I felt terribly when something came up and I didn't go back for the boxes but I"m sure someone else got them. But she is an example of how helpful many of the Publix employees are. read more

As visitors, we were told this was the main grocery store for native floridian. So we stopped by here for just a few basic things- yogurt, lemonade, bread, wheat thins, a 12 pack of beer, lunch meat and cheese, a case of water and a pack of turkey bacon. It came out to almost $50. We took coupons along in an attempt to save money, but they did not accept any coupons. I was a little disappointed. I have been shopping at Publix in Hallandale Beach for 20 years. I must say that the restrooms are in deplorable conditions. More like a hazard risk, not sure if the health department even checks them. Worse than a gas station! Not only that they are filthy I also found a Publix employee cleaning the bathroom floor using toilet paper and his feet. Not surprised after seeing the conditions. I'm shocked! This publix isn't all that's great in my opinion. It seems to be an older location. Hot foods were sloppy, even had one of the signs chilling in the food like it was hanging out in a jacuzzi of llama beans. The hot food did not look fresh at all. Same with the sub station, just sloppy. The young guy serving us was extremely good and made our sub and salad with love. The hot and ready to eat lemon pepper rotisserie chicken has great taste but only on the outside; the inside is blah. If you plan on only eating the skin, go for it. This location has no dinning area which sucks. The car was probably a better dinning area always. read more

Just went to grab some pub subs, but an ordeal that should've taken 20 minutes at most took nearly an hour. No one else was in line for subs , and it took us ten minutes to actually be served. Then when we finally got our orders in the lady decided to stop doing our orders mid way through, thus causing us to wait another ten minutes for the reluctant workers to come pick the orders back up. I love public but I went in to get a chicken tender pub sub I was skipped. I was in mid order and some other customer cuts in front of me to complain that he is missing a sub. Instead of having him wait after I finish my order they start his order and use the last chicken tenders to complete it. The next batch of tenders had a ten min wait. Case in point I was upset and honestly it was kinda messed up that they used the tenders that were about to go in my sub for a costumer who came out of nowhere. read more

I have been going to this same publix for many years as I live 5min away, it has gotten so bad that I had to write this review. The lines are always incredibly long, they are always out of ingredients for a sub, and the worst thing about this publix is that everything they put on sale or as a bogo is because it has either expired already or is about to in a day, this has happened to me personally more than once with the salads and other products in produce as well as there food being moldy and old. This location is nothing out of this world. I started coming here because the one in Young Circle is too small and sometimes the deli doesn't have what I order. I must say that even if sometimes the service is slow, coming here has become more pleasurable because of a young man at the deli. His name is Michael and he sings!!! Yes Sings as he preps your order. He has an amazing voice and certainly makes my weekly deli run so enjoyable!!! In other departments I have also had a pleasant experience. 8/17/2023 After shopping in the store. I am thinking I am going home to shower and cook dinner, Instead I found myself in urgent care for 3 hrs after my mom fell in the store and no one helped her which is fine. When she asked an employee for help and he ignored her like a dog is where I draw the line. Once she asked him for him and told him what happen and he walked away from her as she struggle to follow him and ask why he wouldn't help her. Asking him If it was because she was the wrong color. He could have still walked away and said wait me let me get a manager. He forgot there are "cameras" After I called her on the phone as I was standing in the rain is when I found out she fell. Instead it sent me into a rage that my mom 69yrs turning 70yr in October hitting the ground knees first. Feeling degraded after her experience. I asked her to point him out and I confronted him. As he played stupid and apologized. I demanded a manager. They brought a chair took down her information and she was struggling to walk the manager helped me put her in the car that I pulled up. I apologized for being upset but the manger understood why. Which I am not mad at them because they didn't know. As she asked me why she didn't get help or EMT I told her I guess she wasn't good enough to deserve help from that employee or Publix we are on our own to get medical help. As I had to get on google after driving home to not even get out the car to find a Urgent care that was open once she complained of pain. Finding Medrite 17100 Collins Ave in Sunny isles was a life saver after they stayed open nearly 3 extra hours taking care of her. I'm writing to thank the Publix corporation for the way it's handling the disruptions caused by the coronavirus epidemic. From a shopper's perspective, the company has been doing what it can to keep the shelves stocked and has not raised their prices to take advantage of the shortages caused by the food hoarding of its customers. I don't particularly like this Publix store...it's always crowded and busy, but I find the staff pleasant and helpful and I appreciate what the company is doing to help us get through this crisis. read more

By far and wide, NOT my favorite Publix. And considering how many of them there are in this state, that's saying a lot. This one happens to be the one across the street from my office. I tend to lean heavy on the Publix vs. Winn-Dixie club, but given how frustrated I have gotten at this store, I will go to WD first now. I have gone in here for one item on lunch hour on a Monday and it will take 20 minutes in a checkout line because they won't have any cashiers open. I have ordered pub subs online for a specific pick up time more than once and they should be ready at the specified time if not earlier. You have to stand around looking confused and even then the staff will help the people in line before asking if you need help. I even called once to see if they could have an order for 8 subs done early (because I put in the order at 10 am for pickup at noon). I STOOD AROUND WAITING UNTIL 12:20 before making a fuss and then they just started making my sandwiches. That was the last straw. Never again. I love Publix as a chain, and usually the customer service is way better and the service much faster. I'm not sure what's up with this store but they need new management and to hire more people ASAP because it seems like the store is woefully understaffed. read more

Well, I never shop at Publix, and this is the first time I actually walked around with my 8 Yr old, and notice that a lot of the staff weren't wearing masks. I felt completely uncomfortable, and this certain Publix is where a lot of seniors go, in Hallandale beach, I would think they would have more consideration. Let's just say this shopping experience was NOT a pleasure. In case Publix HQ, doesn't know, just because one person is vaccinated doesn't mean they still cannot infected other people, people that are vaccinated are known as "carriers" ‍ and can still pass the virus. This Publix has a lot of pros and cons... the bathroom is always in horrible condition and needs maintenance. I walked in to a stall with feces on the floor and trash over flowing from the bins. It's a completely unsafe environment. The staff for the most part is super nice including the manager! ( the man in the evening.) As for the deli department, it's a different story. These women have terrible attitudes and hate their lives. They are rarely nice and are quick to make you uncomfortable. I always dread going to get a sub because of the bad attitudes and dismissal I endure. The subs are fantastic though so this is why I keep coming back. Once I was there with a line full of angry people because they had been waiting for fried chicken for 45 minutes! Apparently the worker said it would only be 10 minutes but that turned into 45! Overall my experience here has been pretty good besides the bathroom experience and the constant attitude by the women in the deli. read more

I refer to this location as Pube-Licks. This is the most awful; congested piss you off kind of shopping experience. I live nearby so when I run out of something and am in dire need I suck it up; put on my game face and get ready for battle. At Pube licks you will encounter various sorts of persons that may crush you with their car due to medication, dementia or plain carelessness. Once I was even pushed into a shelf of feminine products by a strange man clueless as how to operate his motorized cart. I actually bruised. People do not say excuse me, please or any form of nicety to get to what they want. It is a free for all. The produce section is especially awkward when it comes to the amount of time some seem to spend "fondling" things to get just the right one. It is scary here.
