Overall, this is a smaller Publix, almost a micro Publix. The employees are helpful. I was looki g for some dates/figs I like to buy and the guy from that department went out of his way to try and find it for me. They don't sell it but he seemed to really care about helping me out They had some nice looking cheesecake slices. I grabbed one and a few other things. Their ice cream selection is not too great in my opinion. I had a great conversation with the cashier. She commented on my cheesecake and told me a story of when she worked at the bakery at another Publix. I wish I lived closer because I would come here just to see those two employees. They love Publix and it shows.

We didn't have high expectations because of the location and the area. There was heavy scent of marijuana in the parking lot as soon as we hopped out of our car. Most of the items that was marked for sale or for clearance was expired, some of them for more than a week, including some yogurts. If you decide to check this place out for yourself please check the expiration dates. On our way out, we observed someone inspecting his car with his headlight broken, as if someone hit his car and drove away. There are plenty of parking spaces in this plaza. The inside of the publix seems to be somewhat organized with most of the items stacked up nicely. The items in the produce section seem fresh enough.

Traditionally, the cuts displayed at the full-service meat counter are noticeably thicker and of a different quality than those found in the self-service refrigerated cases. Lately, however, the cuts at the meat counter appear to be the same thickness and presentation as those in the self-serve display, which diminishes the value of purchasing from the service counter. Customer service was also lacking. The employees I encountered appeared unhappy to be assisting customers. There was no greeting, no smile, and the overall impression was that customer questions were an inconvenience rather than an opportunity to help. In addition, I asked a stock employee in the ice cream aisle about an advertised sale. Even after I showed him the store flyer, he seemed unfamiliar with the promotion and responded that they "must not have it." There was no attempt to verify the information or help locate the product. The interaction left the impression that he was completely unaware of current store promotions. Milam's has long been known for its quality products and neighborhood service, which is why this experience was surprising. I hope management takes a closer look at the meat department and customer service standards so the store can maintain the reputation that has made it a Miami Springs staple.

Bags My husband was the one that paid He is not very good at checking his bill, and when we got home he gave me the bill Looking at it, they charge me $12.99 a lbs for tuna that had a big sign $6.99 lbs So I went back today with my bill to show there mistake ,they agreed ,they have made a mistake ,the price on the counter was wrong but refused to gave me back my money ,at the price $6.99 They want me to bring back in 24 hours , the tuna, and they would give me back the difference in the price I had all the proof of there mistake, Why should I I go back again just to show them in person the tuna You can understand that I was not very happy, this is not the first time that they charge me the wrong price on some articles in my grocery. I tried so hard to really show them there error in price on my bill, that I had brought them, a package of the tuna , to show them there mistake. But not paying attention when I got it out of the freezer to bring it with me, to show them I took the wrong package that was originally in the freezer, but that should not had make a difference, because there mistake of over charging me was still there , and they should had gave me back the money of the difference in prices . I wish them good luck but not being customers friendly won't help them ,and will keep that store with not many customers It has been low for business since they open, and there next move will be to close the place
