I'm not basing my entire review on a holiday week--but seriously, avoid it at all costs during that time. My second visit was much better. I stopped in after a nearby doctor's appointment a little after 9 a.m., and it was night and day. Easy parking, hardly any people, and I could actually take my time reading labels and seeing what was available. Big win. The store was clean, organized, and well stocked, and the staff was friendly as usual. However, I noticed less organic produce than I remembered from previous locations. There's a decent selection of healthier foods, but also a large amount of packaged, ultra-processed options. Gluten-free choices were very limited--I couldn't even find gluten-free crackers. My younger self would've loved shopping here. Middle-aged me, with food allergies and sensitivities, shops more carefully now. Even so, I'll still be back. Fresh Market always has gorgeous flowers & gifts, fresh Herbs in pots, orchids etc., Moi always finds a cute gift here for someone. They also always have hard to find, papayas, osetra caviar, French Champagne & Brazilian med roast coffee $2.49 a cup you can enjoy in the groovy FM Lounge hahahah. It started off with a band at Publix, which is my #2 grocery store chicken as of penning this. I walked into the Fresh Market with decently high expectations, as it came highly recommended. A whole bird ran $8.99 and I got the butter garlic thyme flavor. I took it to this park bench down the street and started tearing into this chicken. The skin on this bird was INSANE. Probably the best chicken skin I've had other than Fairway. This was truly some elite tissi. Great skin, moist breast, fantastic leg. It was firing on all cylinders. This black guy in his late 40's clearwater , Gulf to Bay store refused to receive the item back. He made up a story about the swimming pool "being used", and that is not the truth. The plastic pool was sitting on the back of my SUV,, and it never left my back seat , because I came home , and my husband had the same pool I had purchased. And it was clean as it was when I bought it. I could not believe when I asked for his manager, as I saw he was clearly lying about it. He told me "yes, you can report me", and I am the manager. ". Like it was the most routine thing for him. I would like to return the pool. And please train this guy, to be a better cashier. It is hard to believe a manager would make up a lie like this. I have been a customer since the stores opened in Clearwater, Florida, I don't return things much, but if I need to, I do not want to stumble with this type of deceiving cashier.
