Today I called to make an appointment, the very bland desk worker comes back on the phone and says, "It's been too long since you had your last cleaning...you are now considered a new patient...and we're not accepting new patients". Translation: Take a hike, mister. How about that. When Shuck first opened his doors, my family was there. He had so few patients, that I could call at 9am and be in his chair at 10am. My journey started in October 2024 and involved multiple dentists, crown replacements, countless adjustments, consultations with specialists, and even a root canal. Throughout that time, I knew something still wasn't right, but I never felt like anyone was truly getting to the bottom of the problem. From my first visit, Dr. Loren Masuoka was different. He listened carefully to my concerns, took my symptoms seriously, and never made me feel like I was imagining things. Instead of dismissing what I was experiencing, he genuinely wanted to understand why I was still having pain and find a solution. During my appointment, he took the time to evaluate my bite and noticed that my crown was taking most of the force when I bit down. He carefully adjusted it and explained what he was seeing. The result has been incredible. For the first time since October 2024, I can chew on the right side of my mouth without pain. Two of my teenagers have now seen Dr. Springmann and have been very happy. My son needed a filling and is tricky to anesthetize (odd nerve patterns he got from me). Despite needing an extra shot, he was very happy with Dr. Springmann, reporting nothing but care, patience, and professionalism.
