We are new patients at New Town Dental Arts and couldn't be more pleased. The office staff is very helpful and kind. They keep several slots open each day for emergencies, and adjusted their appointments to get two of my kids back to back appointment times for our convenience. Two of my teenagers have now seen Dr. Springmann and have been very happy. My son needed a filling and is tricky to anesthetize (odd nerve patterns he got from me). Despite needing an extra shot, he was very happy with Dr. Springmann, reporting nothing but care, patience, and professionalism. We are new to the area, and sometimes it's hard to find a dental provider that works for a family. I am very thankful that we found this practice first. read more

Update, Appointment for January 2026 was rescheduled for September 2026, reminder I first made appointment in August 2025. Today August 17, I get a call that my September appointment needs to be rescheduled! I'm like is this place for real. The lady that I spoke to said she can't control the staff leaving. She had zero empathy or a caring tone whatsoever. I told her forget it.. Run from this place they'll leave a comment here call and we can discuss his. You should not waste your time. If you make an appointment here make another elsewhere as a back up. I would never ever recommend this place and I'm sure I'm not the only person this has happened to. I have been 3 times. The first one was good, the second was so so. The third was awful. The staff were zombies and the hygienist was the worst I have ever experienced if my whole life. The dentist was in and out in less than a minute so couldn't possibly have done any kind of comprehensive exam. The only time I was spoken to by the dentist was to say see you next time. Not the first friendly or cordial word. But I guess when you are there less than a minute open, nothing wrong, see you next time is all you have time for. Worst "bedside manor" ever. Am now looking for a new dentist. read more

My wife and I recently came in as new patients. We're immediately going elsewhere to another dental practice with more competent and engaged front staff. Front staff engagement and follow-thru was dishonest and lousy (scheduling, billing, and managers). Lazy, dismissive, and tone-deaf when it came to fixing claim billing errors New Town Dental Arts caused and not being able to abide by routine dental service appointment requests. Communicated a half dozen times with staff with zero resolution/closure. I confirmed on my own and with with my insurance company (additional three times) that the error is on their part and there is no prior patient dental histories that would cause conflict. I'm left to pay a forward balance that New Town Dental Arts is too stubborn (or incompetent) to admit to. I specifically requested the same services for my wife and I (routine x-rays and cleaning) that were to be 100% covered by my in-network insurance company. Very simple request. Claims between my wife and I were submitted differently for the same services and 100% reimbursement for service was denied because New Town Dental Arts likes to perform two x-ray services that can't both be done within the same 5 year period; this is something that New Town Dental Arts as an -in-network provider should know. This is a well-known, large carrier. New Town Dental Art's servicing dentist knew of the problem right away when we were discussing the problem and why I was leaving; she mentioned that there is a history of this happening due their common practice of billing the claims with the similar x-rays. ****Not once did the front staff, billing people, or managers mention this known issue**** They deflected the problem on myself or the insurance company. Supposed claim resubmittals were done, yet there was no attempt to notify me of an update before receiving another forward bill balance due. Services were performed almost three months ago. When I entered the building and was greeted by the Dental Assistant, she was very kind, listened and answered all my questions. I felt very comfortable in her hands during the process. After a few minutes, the Dental Hygienist introduced herself and they worked together so professionally with concern for my comfort, I felt that I found my new Dental office. The synergy between the two was inspiring to say the least. Thank you both for your genuine care. As long as you two remain there, New Town Dental Arts still has promise. As I sit in the chair, pleased to find such a pleasant dental office in Williamsburg, the Dentist, Dr. Patricia Flores, entered the room. I was excited to meet her as well to explain the reason for my visit. Apparently there was no need to talk directly to the patient. Dr. Flores questioned the assistant. "Do you have the x-rays up?". "Yes, Doctor, of course I do." the young assistant replied. After a few more questions it became clear that Dr. Flores was not respectful towards the staff and clearly felt she was entitled to their service. As the Doctor examined my teeth, she would rattle off her alpha-numeric dental notation so fast, that the assistant had to stop her and ask her to repeat the last dental code, but Dr. Flores would just keep going until the assistant made it clear she could not keep up. Dr. Flores seemed annoyed and gave her another chance to keep up. Again, no respect from Dr. Flores towards the staff. (The same alpha-numeric dental notation was used by the Hygienist and the Assistant, and it was executed like a well-orchestrated performance.) Dr. Flores finally spoke to me. "Do you want to have whitening treatment?". "No thank you, not at this time..." She would cut me off, as if she didn't have time to hear anything additional. She then began to inspect specific teeth... Dr. Flores had no concern for my comfort or well being. It was the worst discomfort I have ever experienced going to see a professional. She roughly jostled her tools with unnecessary force and very clearly created unnecessary pain. My high hopes for New Town Dental Arts were immediately dissolved. There was absolutely no excuse to treat a patient like you treated me Dr. Patricia Flores. Finally, when the assistant asked if I needed to be put down for the whitening service, Dr. Flores mumbled "She doesn't want it." with a cold apathetic tone. Dr. Patricia Flores brings great discredit to the American Dental Association. read more

Billing is a major issue! They have overcharged me twice-so far! The first one is already taken care of, but one has to spend time and energy on it. Long waits is another major issue. Today I have waited 33 minutes (I was in time for my appointment) for a 3 min procedure. Also, a big portion of my in-office-whitening (Philips Zoom!) was done by a trainee who was clueless about the procedure. read more

The people who greet and treat me are what makes a visit so good, as all are knowledgeable in what they do, while being warm and friendly in their interactions. I am 55 years old and terrified of dentists. I can honestly say I have never had a good experience with dentistry until now. New Town Dental Arts put me at ease and out of pain so quickly. The staff were professional and concerned with my level of comfort. Both dentists were so gentle & kind with me. I would recommend them to even the most terrified patient. From the moment you step in, they give you a tour of the facility and introduce you to anyone who might happen to be standing around. The hygienist was very knowledgable, professional and kind. The dentist was also very kind, professional and honest. Best dentist's office I have ever been to. Staff is friendly and accommodating; hygienists are great, as is Dr. Springmann. I'm always seen in time, and there are plenty of reminders so I don't miss appointments. Truly outstanding customer service. I've been seeing Dr. Springmann for years. I used to be very nervous and apprehensive about going to the dentist, but now it's no big deal. Knowing I'm in good hands has taken the stress out of my dental visits. All of the dentists and hygienists are gentle and exceptionally caring, as well as thorough and up to date with the latest advances in dentistry. Their facilities, equipment, and services are state of the art, and their entire staff is courteous, efficient and professional. I've always had a positive, relaxed experience, and I especially appreciate that New Town respects my time by staying on schedule with their appointments. I've never waited more than a couple of minutes or so. read more

The Dental Arts dentist practice was not so good for or to me. I went there for a broken dental appliance and the owner named Sabastion Springman a female and she started talking down to me in a disrespectful way. She fixed my partial dental appliance, and did not even rinse off my partial appliance for my tooth before sticking it back in my mouth, then she told me I needed over $4500.00 of work done for cavities. I went into have a new partial appliance made and Dr. Sprigman said: no, I am not going to help you get a new appliance until you get your cavities fixed. She was very degrading in her dictating to me. Dr. springman likes to scare people into having x rays by telling them they could have cancer or tumors and the xrays will tell if a person has the cancer or tumors. The dental assistant who saw me earlier stunk when she opened her mouth, like she had a digestive bowel issue. All of the partner Dentists that dr. springman has always seem to depart from her practice and this has been going on for years. I do not recommend this place. When I left this practice I felt like I needed to wash my hands. read more
