The space was very surprising as from the street it looks small and almost unassuming, but when you walk through the door, the space opens up to the most beautiful decor, opulent seating and the bar was GORGEOUS! They also have a beautiful outdoor patio and an area that can be booked for private parties. The host Ken was welcoming and very helpful. The bartender greeted us with a smile and provided fantastic service (my blackberry lemon drop was perfect). Now for the part you really want to know about...The food...OMG the food! I placed a to-go order (I wish that I had the time to dine-in), I was starving so I opened my food to take a bite in the car and when I tell you that it was SO GOOD, I went BACK inside just to tell the chef how good it was and how I would be back again soon and would be telling everyone about my experience. The menu said that the meats were marinated, but lots of places say the same thing and only have surface seasoning. I ordered the Stewed Chicken Main and EVERY SINGLE BITE was bursting with flavor and so tender. To say that I am impressed, is an understatement. The place is so beautiful I started planning how I could hold a private party there. My visit to Miss Conduck was like finding a hidden gem and I HIGHLY recommend dining there! (I am not a friend/affiliate just a woman who loves great food, excellent service and ambiance).

Lunch options are available from and include buffet and specialties including roti and buss up shup. A variety of meats and vegetable options are offered to accommodate all diet preferences. Everything is prepared fresh and customer service was exceptional. The owner was on site and even more lovely than the pictures on display throughout the restaurant showcasing the visitors of all status that frequent Tassa. Many were notable including one from one of my favorite cooking shows! All items ordered were delicious which included a curry goat roti, a vegetarian roti and six doubles. I had heard about doubles from Trinidadian friends, but do not recall experiencing personally. The couple in line before me ordered 10 and I was intrigued! Doubles consisted of chick peas and potatoes inside of a round pastry that resembled a flattened biscuit, but with much better flavor. The filling was available in varying levels from hot to a bit sweeter. I selected a mixture of the two for my personal ones. Others I bought were hotter for my heat loving partner. Extremely popular in the Caribbean culture and now, I know why. Parking is available in the rear of restaurant, and ample dining space in two rooms. I thoroughly enjoyed this visit to Tassa for reasons mentioned above. Service has always been exceptional and informative - I ask questions! Will definitely return again and again!

I chose Wylie and Rum because they have vegan and vegetarian options. Wow were we impressed! The mood in the restaurant is vibrant and tropical with great music playing. Sunshine, our server, helped us navigate the menu. He was awesome! The shrimp fritters and jackfruit empanada were perfectly seasoned. My cousin loved her queso and Big ass burrito. She normally doesn't like some of my restaurant choices but she even liked my empanada. We are definitely returning with friends. Apparently their brisket and sirloin burger is to die for. Ashley, my server, was 100 and provided great energy and service throughout the experience. ...didn't have an entree because the spot was approaching close. The space felt authentically Jamaican, which added to the vibe. No oxtails available though, so just be prepared for that. Also, it was my server's first week, so give a little grace and patience with timing. The drinks were amazing. My only observation was that, like many places using fresh garnishes for cocktails, gloves weren't worn during drink prep but hey, maybe the alcohol handled the sanitation duties *shrugs* Overall, it was a really good experience and I'd definitely go back.

Service - didn't get a greeting when we walked in, the lady was sitting in a chair at the register, there was one guy In there sitting down waiting on this food so she was not busy. They had a few fish dishes on their menu but had NO fish at all that day (weekday). I mean they were out of everything seafood and they were out of sorrel. This should have been a sign to leave but I settled with a small oxtail meal. They do open the box for you to see your food before leaving, no corrections or complaints after you leave. Well, I wish I would have took a closer look at the "plantains" bc it was absolute mush! It looked so terrible, I thought it was fat from the oxtail... they literally served spoiled plantain on both of our plates, I tasted it & it was definitely rotten. I love plantains when I eat Jamaican food & the fact that it was rotten was very disrespectful. The oxtail was small, not a lot of meat but the flavor was decent although I would have preferred more gravy. Rice & peas and the cabbage were average. As far as the inside, not much sunshine in there, just get it Togo. Oh! And the health score was 81 which should have been another sign to leave. There are better Jamaican restaurants to visit.
