Oh! Where to begin! First, I loved that they had their own free private parking, which in Atlanta is a huge plus! The space was very surprising as from the street it looks small and almost unassuming, but when you walk through the door, the space opens up to the most beautiful decor, opulent seating and the bar was GORGEOUS! They also have a beautiful outdoor patio and an area that can be booked for private parties. The host Ken was welcoming and very helpful. The bartender greeted us with a smile and provided fantastic service (my blackberry lemon drop was perfect). Now for the part you really want to know about...The food...OMG the food! I placed a to-go order (I wish that I had the time to dine-in), I was starving so I opened my food to take a bite in the car and when I tell you that it was SO GOOD, I went BACK inside just to tell the chef how good it was and how I would be back again soon and would be telling everyone about my experience. The menu said that the meats were marinated, but lots of places say the same thing and only have surface seasoning. I ordered the Stewed Chicken Main and EVERY SINGLE BITE was bursting with flavor and so tender. To say that I am impressed, is an understatement. As someone who is known for seeking out and truly testing vegetarian options at Caribbean restaurants, I have to say--Miss Conduck is easily the best Caribbean flavor restaurant in Atlanta. And coming from a Jamaican background, let me be clear: the usual Trinidad vs. Jamaica debate does not apply here. This place stands on its own. From the moment the food hit the table, one thing was consistent across everything we ordered: it was hot, fresh, and made with real intention and flavor. We started with the fried cauliflower bites. The batter was light, crispy, and well done--definitely a solid starter. I wasn't a big fan of the tartar sauce it came with, but it didn't take away from the quality of the cauliflower itself. My friend ordered the jerk chicken rolls, and I have to give credit where it's due--the sauce that came with those rolls was incredible. Easily one of the standout sauces of the night. Next, I had the doubles, and because I like my food with a kick, I asked for pepper sauce. Now, I'll admit--I made my first one obnoxiously hot. But what I discovered was the real winning combination: adding the callaloo on top of the doubles. That was the perfect match. The callaloo itself is blended with so many elements into a rich, flavorful purée, and when paired with the doubles, it created this burst of layered, authentic Caribbean flavor that was just on point. I also ordered a veggie plate with rice and peas, cabbage, and chickpeas, and they did not disappoint. The portion size was generous, and every single item was clearly made with flavor in mind--not just thrown together as an afterthought for vegetarians. I also tried the macaroni pie--it's a smaller portion, but it's true Caribbean mac and cheese, rich and satisfying. The fried plantains were done perfectly--hot, fresh, and with that ideal balance of sweetness and texture. Then came the rasta pasta. My first couple of bites, I thought it needed a little more kick--but by the third bite, everything came together perfectly. You can taste the layers of vegetables building flavor, and there's a subtle heat that isn't overpowering but adds depth. The noodles were cooked exactly how they should be--perfect texture, not overdone, not undercooked. One thing I always pay attention to is this: Is a vegetarian-friendly restaurant also approved by meat eaters? And in this case, the answer is absolutely yes. My friend had the jerk chicken, and she said it was spectacular. She actually lives nearby and already plans to come back regularly. Honestly, I was surprised the place wasn't packed wall to wall. The atmosphere is incredible--it has its own unique style that really makes you feel like you've stepped into the Caribbean. The music, the vibe, everything is intentional. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. We even watched them handle a large party, and they went above and beyond to make sure that group was fully taken care of. All in all, this place exceeded expectations on every level. Good food but the service was off. I enjoyed my first taste of Doubles, the owner came out and introduced herself and her mother the chef. You can tell they pour a lotta love into their food and drinks. I didn't understand the concept of the reserved bar space because it stayed empty all night. We were asked to sit at the end of the bar so the bar could remain empty but the ceiling was dripping AC condensation on us. I love the location, parking a was a little sketchy but free and doable. This is one of those Atlanta spots that's popular because the aesthetics are nice and the service is good, but it's not for the food. There's better food at better prices in O4W, would pass on this spot unless you're just coming for photos. I tried the Crispy Okra Bites, the Jerk Chicken Egg Rolls, the Jerk Chicken Plate, and the Trinidad Callaloo. Most everything was fine, but definitely on the overseasoned side and overpriced for what you get. The real disappointment was the Jerk Chicken Plate, which came with rice and beans (weirdly called Rice & Peas on the menu, despite not possessing any peas). The rice was weirdly grainy and salty and overall unpleasant to eat with the jerk chicken, which was already heavily seasoned. Overall, the food isn't *bad*; it's just crazy to pay this much for what you end up getting. It was also frustrating to be told that we needed to either pay a $10 "share" fee for an entree or buy another appetizer, despite the fact that we had already ordered an appetizer and side. read more

I stumbled across this place on Resy. Originally, I booked reservations elsewhere but needed to change the time. Other place wasn't available. Read the reviews and went for it. We were told all of the bar seating was reserved and we couldn't sit down. Ultimately, we were allowed to sit, however it created an issue as initially the bartender/owner said we could settle the tab at the bar, then said it had to be transferred to the table, and after dinner said the billing was two different systems...making it difficult for my friend to pay separately for the drinks. This was my first time into Miss Conduck and I'm so glad I came. I was nervous it would be packed when we showed up a little late. If it was fine. The music was great. The drinks were hitting and the food was delicious. I had the salmon and rice and peas with steamed veggies/cabbage and peppers. It was well prepared medium well, the veggies were well done and not over cooked for me. The rice wasn't a favorite but I'm biased about Haitian rice. I have been wanting to try this restaurant for quite some time. They serve Caribbean food - with a Trinidadian flair. We ordered the fried cauliflower and the double doubles. You're probably wondering -what is a double doubles? I was also intrigued. It is two small round pieces of fried bread with a delicious spiced chickpea filling. For dinner, I had curry chicken with rice & peas and callaloo. If you've never had callaloo (I hadn't), it a delicious stew of spinach and okra. The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and inviting. The staff were lovely. We got there early so we were able to score free parking behind the restaurant. Also they had a live jazz band and singer starting at around 7. The singer was from Trinidad and she was phenomenal. I'm not sure if it's the same band every week but we really enjoyed the music. Overall, a great experience. read more

I love finding new black owned places to reunion Atlanta and this spot is a gem!! From the time we entered until we left we were welcomed like we were family. The decor is amazing they have so many beautiful details and designs all throughout the establishment. They even went above and beyond to celebrate my best friend and came out with champagne, a song and dance and gave her beautiful words of encouragement for her new found happiness and upcoming nuptials. What a beautiful restaurant! Great for group hangouts, date night, or solo dining. A nice addition to Edgewood with parking available in the back (turn in between the alleyway with murals to park). The hostess greeted me promptly & I was seated immediately (I had a reservation). She and my server Saint were super friendly. Saint was attentive the whole time and was very helpful, a vibe! I ordered the cocorita (coconut margarita), doubles, & jerk chicken which comes with rice & veggies. The cocorita was subtly sweet and was great with my meal. I reached out to the Atlanta food guy and asked for his favorite caribbean spot for oxtail and he said this place. I made a reservation for a friend and I. While I waited for her to arrive I chatted with the staff and owner. EVERYONE WAS SO NICE! I mean hugs, compliments and even a tour of the restaurant. She showed us the outside patio before it was finished and I was just a smiling! I bought me pure joy to spend my money here. I wish had more stomach space to buy more food. My first visit, honestly, didn't go too well. The service I received from one of the employees (who is no longer with the restaurant) really left a bad impression. Let me tell you, my second visit was night and day compared to the first. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed, valued, and taken care of. Latoya greeted me warmly, explained the menu, and checked in throughout the meal. That level of service? Absolutely unmatched. Now let's talk about the food, because wow. I had the brown stew chicken, which was tender, flavorful, and seasoned to perfection. It tasted like it had been simmering for hours, full of depth and soul. Pros: - owner/chef Latoya(&mum) are the only reason this restaurant has a chance of being extremely successful! Latoya is personable & is called upon from the kitchen if ever there is a problem( we saw a few while there) -The food was delicious & flavorful. We tried the goat curry, double doubles, Chana & potatoes, coconut shrimp & the pasta. The food though heavily influenced by The Indian cuisine, is very unique by itself in its flavor profile. The goat was cooked to perfection being soft and not at all chewy. - there is free parking in the alleyway just next to the restaurant. -Ambience and decor are beautiful. Cons: -the restaurant still has several Kinks and service issues that need to be worked on. Our server Torrie/Toni was not engaging and appeared distracted. She forgot our drink order and the order for fries for the kid in our party. She really did not check in much with us....at one point checking in when there was no food or drink on our table asking how we liked everything ?!?(clueless). She also incorrectly added a $16 cocktail to our final bill which created issues when trying to pay our bill using the QR code directly to the website-as that was the preferred method. Latoya save the day in that instance! -When we arrived, the restaurant was fairly empty with only one other couple present. Despite that, we were seated in the last table closest to the kitchen. The kitchen door was never fully shut, and I always had dirty dishes in my line of vision. That really did not do much for the vibe. -though delicious... the service and ambience do not add up with how pricey items are. Our goat curry with a roti and the potato Chana curry was $32! Each cocktail was around $16. I think with such steep prices service needs to be top-notch and at par with what you would get at another similarly priced restaurant. Overall: our experience would not have been great had it not been for Latoya personable nature & ability to try smooth things over. What a fantastic find! My husband and I were on a 10 day road trip, ending in Atlanta, and we are so happy we found this amazing restaurant. The staff is so warm and welcoming. The food is incredible, beautiful Caribbean home cooking. Started with the coconut shrimp which was light and tasty. My husband had the chicken stew which was melt in your mouth tender. I had the jerk chicken which had the perfect amount of kick and was super juicy. We both had the rice and beans, and cabbage (which was heavenly) and a side of fried plantains, perfectly cooked and sweet. The atmosphere is lively, yet comfortable, showcasing Carnival feathers and costumes. The owners and staff are top notch. Emily and Latoya were very engaging and pleasant to talk too. What else made my experience wonderful was the HAPPY HOUR from 4p-7p and the FREE PARKING before 9pm. The food itself was seasoned to perfection and the Caribbean flavors were balanced well. I had the stew chicken and it was bursting with flavor the spice level was just how I like it. The entree came with rice and peas and veggies both were great as well the portion size matched the price point. I'm glad I still had a little wiggle room for dessert because the Dulce de Leche was calling my name. This light and airy cake was sooooo good the added caramel chocolate coated cereal was the Chef's kiss. I'm definitely looking forward to returning and working my way through the menu. My husband is Trini and has been longing for some food from home. We found Miss Conduck on our trip to Atlanta. If you're an islander, my husband kept saying the food tasted like home. If you're not an islander, know this food is DELICIOUS. My pictures don't do the food justice. They're plated beautifully and bursting with flavor. Miss conduck is a new restaurant in downtown Atlanta that serves a variety of Caribbean dishes. Specifically, a lot of their menu items include Trinidadian food, which is where I'm from. Of course, I had to try the Doubles, curry goat, and Rasta pasta. I would highly recommend ordering the doubles as it had great flavor! The curry goat that day was good but too salty. I felt like the jerk chicken Rasta pasta was just okay. I think miss conduck is a great place to order a drink and a light meal (like the doubles). I think it's a bit pricey to order a main meal here. The jerk chicken Rasta pasta was like $22.99 which I thought was way too pricey for something I feel like I could make at home for cheaper.
