Today is President's Day. Aqueduct and other race tracks are open and running today. You're closed. Your loss. My gain.

I had the steak and wife had chicken tenders. The tenders were very good, I was not expecting steakhouse steak and it was not as good as steakhouse steak, but it was still good. The mashed potatoes and garlic green beans were excellent, I really loved the garlic green beans. The only complaint I have is minor, the coleslaw was not creamy enough.

I settled on the new Ultimate Trio, where you select three appetizers and three sauces for a set price. I went with the boneless wings (Parmesan garlic), onion rings and quesadillas. I enjoyed the meal more than on the previous visit. I mean, it feels like pub food in a way, but the wings were tasty and the onion rings thick and crunchy, which I prefer to the thinner type with soft batter. The quesadillas -- well, it is hard to make those memorable, but they were fine. The dipping sauces, well, they neither added nor detracted from the meal. My wife had the pasta Alfredo and it was okay, and those fries that I was less than impressed with last time. We brought some home for a second lunch, which always seems to help defray the cost of eating out. Our server was fine, friendly and fairly attentive, and though the food was a bit slow getting to us, we were catching up on news so we hardly noticed. So I was happier with this visit, and if this family luncheon occurs again, I will continue to explore the menu.

Loved that there was plenty of seating both inside and outside. Also, for anyone gluten free they have gluten free rolls that was surprise for the person in our group who is gf.

It's basically in the same parking lot as LL Bean, and 7 of us could be seated right away during lunch time. The downstairs area is counter service, and upstairs is full service. There's only a few high top tables upstairs. We got the fried whole belly clams, which were pretty good, and then the lobster roll on a GF bun. The bun was not good at all, and I know it is probably mainly because it is GF, but it's just a shame we can't get better GF bread easier nowadays, and we pay more to have it. The amount of lobster was also super disappointing, which was frustrating because I thought I saw someone else with a lobster roll that looked pretty substantial. My mom got the fried shrimp basket and the shrimp were so tiny, similar to what you'd get at a fast food place when you order shrimp. Terrible! My bill was over $200 for 7 of us, and I left feeling disappointed about how they executed GF and the quality of their seafood.

We asked the scowling hostess, who didn't greet us and seemed like she was having a bad day, if we could sit in the main room in front of the big TV and she seemed really flustered -- she checked a book and complained to the other hostess and made it clear our request was really a huge hassle before she rudely said "I really can't do that" and put us in a cafeteria-like side section at a table for 4. We pointed out that we were five people and the second woman came over and kind of threw a chair over at us and said "there you go" like we were being difficult. Asked again if we could just sit at one of the empty big 6-person booths in the deserted main room with the big TV, and she said she had to keep those open for walk-ins. I said, "that's why we made a reservation, so we could have a good spot" and she rolled her eyes and walked away without answering. The two of them-- one younger blonde and one slightly older brunette--were astonishingly rude even though we made it clear we were there for the game, which started at 9 and we were there at 7 (again, thought it would be busy) so that's a lot of food and drink. Horrific customer service. And the kicker? The room never filled up. Plenty of space where they could have seated us. So: don't make a reservation if you want a prime viewing spot, even if the place is empty. We would have left but nowhere else in town was going to be open for the whole match since it started at 9 pm. Perhaps they know this and feel they can get away with treating customers like crap because they're literally the only game in town. I won't even get into the food, it's really bad. Which we expected, we were there for the big TV mainly. All of that said, I give one extra star for Mason, our server, who was absolutely fantastic and made the whole experience much better than it would have been. He deserves a raise.

One of my children is a baby and dropped some fried pickles on the floor, maybe 3 pieces and a few pieces of a chicken. Upon asking for my check, my waitress Emily actually told me she brought the broom over for me to clean up after myself. I was appalled! As a server myself I told her that's something you never ask a customer to do. She then told me it isn't her job to clean up after kids... Yikes! I can't imagine ever speaking to a guest that way. Will never return that's for sure.
