This is one of my favourite venues in Edmonton! I have experienced a lot of awesome concerts and at the moment we have tickets for 5 more! :) I recommend going there with uber since there is construction in that area and parking has been always an issue. The building itself is beautiful and maintained well. I've been to The Winspear a number of times, including getting to perform on stage with my school choir back in the day. But it had been a while since I'd seen a show there. And then I had tickets for 2 shows just a few weeks from each other. So I figured let's review The Winspear. This concert hall is fantastic in terms of acoustics. I'm sure you've seen other reviews say something similar. There aren't many bad seats, and most of the shows here are concerts so have good sound will be the most important thing imo. The space is beautiful, bathrooms are clean, lots of space in the lobby, coat check is a reasonable $2, and the line for the bar or snacks wasn't to long. The one thing that's a downside is the seating chart, or maybe better to explain it trying to find your seat. The first show I saw (Foil, Arms, & Hog: Skittish) the usher pointed to where my seat was. Sat down and 10 minutes later a man came up and said I was in his seat. No problem, got up, asked another usher where to go. I was further down on the main floor. The second show (1922 film Nosferatu with a live playing of the massive Davis concert organ) my friend and I went were we thought we should sit. We entered on the left doors and there was no usher there. But something didn't feel right so I went to the main doors to ask an usher if we were in the right spot. He pointed to where we were sitting so I went back there. A few minutes later another group of people in that section we were in realized they were in the wrong spot when other people came to their seats. And that group(the ones that had to move) said they were in the section our tickets said. Obviously we were in the wrong spot, so we moved to right seats. So that was confusing with the seats and there isn't anything, other than on the doors to mark what the sections are. The fact that two different ushers at two different shows I've been to told me to go to the wrong seats is a bit frustrating. There is an online interactive map, but I find on a phone it's hard to see and navigate. Maybe have a paper map outside by the doors, especially the ones on the left and right side if no usher is going to be there. That's my one gripe about the Winspear. Other than that both the shows were great. The Winspear is right downtown and the library parkade is nearby. There's also Churchill station nearby, so pretty accessible for transit. I've already got tickets for a third show I'm seeing in a few weeks, so I hopefully I won't get sent to the wrong seats. read more

Attended the Hollywood for the Holidays matinee 2pm concert with Lucus Walden conducting. Great concert. We sat Dress Circle right - first time I've ever sat above the mail level or not straight on facing the stage and we were impressed! The seats are not fixed so you can adjust. The row just below us were also not fixed but were narrow access and a bit tight to pass in front to get to your seat if you were to get up. Accessibility, yes chairs could be removed to bring in a chair or walker. The only drawback was only one bank of elevators to service those not able to take stairs. Washrooms are all located on the right side facing the theatre doors on each level. Plenty of stalls for ladies but this was not a sold-out event so it could get lined up. I did not get a chance to check the accessible or family/non-gendered facilities. Ventilation seemed adequate. I didn't bring the Aranet to confirm, but the air was cool and seemed to be moving. We will definitely look for these seats next time as a shorter person it's always a key if you want to see what is happening on stage to find great seats! read more

I recently saw A Very Merry Pops and it was a fabulous performance. A show with music, singing, and dancing was fun to see and I enjoyed the ambience of the venue beautifully decorated. The program included music included Christmas carols that brought me back to elementary music class, Miriam Khalil, a Soprano soloist and younger and older choir and singers. The ESO sounded amazing as always. Conductor Robert Bernhardt threw got the crowd laughing too. It was one of those performances that I didn't want to end. There isn't a bad seat in the house. Edmonton is lucky to have this venue. Being in the venue got me into the festive mood with all the decorations including the tables centrepieces. There's a coat check and concession if you need a drink or coffee to warm you up or a sweet treat to enjoy. There's a membership and then one can buy tickets for $10! It makes it one of the most affordable entertainment venues in the city. Not only do they offer amazing performances, they have a number of music programs for children from little ones to older children. I love how they engage children to love music! read more

One of the great gems in Edmonton. If you are visiting and are your lucky enough to have something is happening, buy a ticket and enjoy. Easy to get to by the LRT or with ample underground parking nearby, the Winspear can make your evening. I've never had a poor seat even in the upper gallery. I've come for symphonic, folk, pop and rock concerts and the sound has always been fantastic. I even came here on my very first date with my wife - on Valentine's Day no less. read more

I have come to the Winspear for ESO (Edmonton Symphony Orchestra) and for other events - notably the Laugh for Life Gala. They always do an amazing job with their events and you can not say enough about the ESO. If you are new to the the city and are looking for an amazing night out the ESO has it all. They do classical, of course, but then they do these amazing pairings with modern day musicians. I just went to Jann Arden Holiday and they played all your holiday favourites. But, it's not just that the conductor talks to the audience, explaining the music so even if you aren't an expert you won't feel like your the only one who doesn't know anything. The Winspear also does this amazing thing for children- the ESO Children"s Symphony. Now don't think it's kids playing - it's the ESO but they offer some entertainment for the kids before the show and it's a nice way to introduce kids to the arts. What a great concept. We are so lucky in Edmonton to have access to such a high quality arts scene it's would be a shame not to take advantage of it at least once to say you did. And once you've done that I'm sure you'll be going back again! read more

My daughter went to 3 Winspear summer camps and they were amazing. She has complex needs and they were more than willing and able to adapt the program for her. A lot of diverse music to expose yourself to, and very reasonable for tickets...and no Ticketmaster fee! read more

The last 10 years I have been going to the Winspear theatre multiple times a year. For the last five years me and my whole family have been going to the Christmas concert. We absolutely love this Christmas tradition. At Christmas they decorate nicely and there are beautiful Christmas trees up that you can take nice family photos at. I have also enjoyed silent films, jazz and music of rock stars there. I find the prices a little bit high but if you book early enough you can buy the side floor seats for a reasonable price You can now bring drinks into the theatre which I appreciate Another Edmonton gem read more

I've been here so many times over the years that I can't believe I haven't reviewed it! I've come here for a couple of my grad ceremonies, a few concerts, and my husband & I have had season passes for the Robbins pop symphony & more recently, the season passes for children's symphony. It's classy inside, although it's really up to you on the dress code...I've seen people dressed to the nines or jeans casual, and it's conveniently connected to the LRT below if you didn't want to struggle finding parking downtown. That being said, there's lot of underground & street parking nearby if you can't get a spot in their paid parking lot. They say, the acoustics of this theatre are so good that you can hear a pin drop. Well, I don't know about the pin drop, but you can hear people cough or clear their throats while the symphony plays for sure. I like how they change lighting to match the mood of the music they play. They also put down a screen to show visual scenes as part of some shows. And periodically there are guest singers or performers on stage too. I've actually found that I enjoy the children's symphony because they have crafts, photo booth, and you can buy popcorn for $3 and eat it in the theatre unlike most events. The children shows are also much shorter than the adult shows, but also highly entertaining. The had an aerial fabric acrobatic on one occasion, and played music in time with Canadian animated short films as well. On this last occasion to end the season, they had activities on all three levels preshow including crafts, singing & storytelling, and dancing with the Alberta ballet. If you hold season passes long enough, you may get invited to a wine & cheese backstage event where you can learn more about the symphony & a couple of the musicians and have the opportunity to listen to them play as well. As an avid music fan & supporter of the arts, I highly recommend attending this venue to hear the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra play. read more

I was debating what I should do for my last night in Edmonton. A) Shopping or B) Winspear Centre I chose the latter, and I am so pleased that I did! Magnificent Mozart was a great performance featuring William Eddins, Jacqueline Woodley and Virginie Gagne. I was surprised to see so many open seats when I came in to buy last-minute rush tickets. The venue itself was very cozy and intimate --even from the back, you still get a great view of the performers and experience excellent sound quality. A thing to keep in mind is that no food or drink may be allowed inside. During the intermission you have a short period to buy drinks and sweets which must be consumed there. I believe this rule is only applicable to the Masters concert series based off what one of the staff members told me. read more

Everytime I come to the Winspear Centre, I get excited about having such an amazing venue located in downtown Edmonton. It's such a beautiful place! When you come here to watch a performance, you really feel like it's a special occasion! The Winspear Centre is conveniently located in downtown Edmonton next to Sir Winston Churchill Square. There are plenty of areas available for parking, in and around the nearby facilities (eg. City Hall, Citadel Theatre, Stanley Milner Library, meters on the street etc). The LRT access is literally right next to the building. I love how it's easy to get in and out of here. At other venues, I get anxious just thinking about the chaos of crowds and traffic, before and after the show. Before the show, my mom and I went to the Will Call line to pick up our tickets. We only had a mere 10 minutes, before the show was due to start. The line was long but the service was very quick and efficient. There were three windows with attendants but only one main line in the middle. There was clear signage indicating this was the line to be in. Some people were a bit confused but it all worked out in the end. We made it to our seats on time. We came here to watch the Salute to Vienna New Year's Concert. It was our first time to see it. I guess they have this concert every year! Our seats were in the Upper Circle Centre (2 floors up from the main floor). The view was great! The music was so clear! From our vantage point, we could see the entire stage. We could see the performers' faces and even details in their outfits! Without binoculars! Since I am petite, I also appreciated how the people in front of me, did not in any way obstruct my view of the stage. The seats are staggered in such a way that I had a clear view. This show was jam packed! Full of a variety of talent on one stage! We had the privilege to be entertained by the Strauss Symphony of Canada, Kiev City Ballet, International Champion Ballroom dancers and two excellent opera singers! The soprano was Monica Rebholz from Vienna. The tenor was David Curry from Vancouver. The conductor was Oliver Ostermann from Vienna. All these people have such exceptional talent! Overall, the show was beautiful! I felt like I was transported to Vienna for a couple of hours. The venue and the show were a perfect match! What a great way to start 2016! read more

This is a beautiful facility in which to see a show. And there aren't just Edmonton Symphony Orchestra shows here either -- go see a musical artist you enjoy, a lecture you're looking forward to or a choral concert! All are options, and there's often more types of shows here than you might otherwise expect! The accoustics are amazing as is the beautiful organ. During the show (sometimes) and often at intermission and/or before the show there are great drinks for sale in the lobby which is nice as are the book sales if it's an author reading or CDs and other merch if it's a musical performance. While I like sitting up close, I've also had seats fairly high up in balconies or further away, but all have been good if the performance is good. The venue is simply that worth visiting if the content is something that interests you. read more

World class venue. This is my favourite venue in the city. The accoustics are phenomenal! Most shows I've been to here are soft rock, folk and jazz. Every seat is a good seat! It's fantastic - doesn't matter where you sit you'll see and hear everything. Sometimes being front floor isn't the best seats! The box office is so efficient at getting your tickets prior to the show. The longest I've ever waited is five minutes. Last night I went to the Winspear Centre to watch the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra pay tribute to Prince. The place seemed busy but when we got to the door of the 3rd floor the lady checking tickets asked if we wanted an upgrade! So there must have been quite a few empty seats although you would never have noticed. We go moved to the centre circle - YAS! Lots of beverages to choose from although you need a plastic cup to take into the auditorium. I was on the water as I was the DD for the evening for a group of my girlfriends. we are all music lovers and big Prince fans, the awesome new seats were welcomed! The show started and the orchestra as expected were phenomenal. The singer being Prince 2, was fab. What a voice! He had two other female singers to hit those few notes that only Prince can, an amazing lead guitarist on the iconic solos and Prince's actual bassist. He was so cool and told a few stories about working with Prince. The singer got the crowd up dancing which I didn't expect from the Winspear but it wasn't the usual night at the orchestra. He encouraged ties off and getting out your seat. The place was jumping and everyone was singing along. You weren't allowed to take photographs which sucked as I really wanted to snapchat the performance. The night ended with Purple Rain and people were actually crying! It was a wonderful night! read more

I went to the Winspear to watch Patrick Watson perform with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra. I have to say the Winspear was a beautiful and great venue. I sat in the upper balcony and I had a great view of the show. Sound in the Winspear was excellent and and it was definitely magical experience to see my favourite artist perform at such a beautiful venue with a talented orchestra behind them. I love how well kept the Winspear is and the staff that work there are super courteous and helpful. Definitely plan to come back here and catching more shows in the near future. read more

I have been here twice in a month.... At the beginning of the month for the Salute to Vienna New Year Concert (which is becoming a NY tradition, we hope [this is our 2nd year straight]) and this evening for the 50th Anniversary Concert of the U of A Music Faculty :-) It is a really great venue with NO bad seat in the house and the sound, no matter the music, is beautiful :-) They use lighting in the hall to accentuate the performance and though large, it feels quite intimate. The Staff is quite nice and ready to assist with directions and information, always. During a performance, you can pre purchase a beverage to have ready to enjoy during intermission as well. Parking, though paid, is EASILY available between the parkades surrounding the Winspear to using the LRT and bus since most all transit meets in this area of the downtown :-) And if you are hungry, now there is Normand's at the Citadel serving dinner :-) SO glad to have this venue and always featuring diverse, very enjoyable and accessible performances all year round. read more

This is just a stunning facility with state of the art acoustics which make every concert shine! I have been lucky enough to be here for 2 symphonies and both have just taken my breath away. If you ever get the change to attend the ESO (Edmonton Symphony Orchestra) do it, they are truly a world class or orchestra! Outside of the ESO, they are also many other events that happen at the Winspear. They have a good set up in the lobby for pre-event cocktail hour. A fairly large parking lot out back and there is access to the Churchill station LRT via underground ped-way. See you at the show! read more

The Winspear! What can I say? A fabulous venue for many concerts that I've seen over the years. Michael Buble, Hawksley, the ESO and others. (And MB even touched my hand! That alone is worth 5 stars.) It's a beautiful hall with a beautiful pipe organ, great drinks and friendly staff and bartenders, clean bathrooms, and there isn't a bad seat in the house. Seriously. It is absolutely gorgeous, very conveniently located with plenty of parking nearby and LRT access without even having to go outside, and the sound quality simply cannot be beat in the city. There is not a bad seat in the house - and I've sat almost everywhere! Back when I was attending Grant MacEwan in the Arts & Cultural Management program, we got to visit this stunning hall (it was still fairly new back then!) and were treated to a private tour, including a really cool tour in the rafters (what's the fancy name for that in a theatre or concert hall? I can't remember...but you get the picture) where we got to look down on the stage and see a view that most people never get to. If you have a chance to attend any concert or show here, take it. You won't regret it. And take a few moments to walk through all the floors to check out the artwork and view! read more

Oh Winspear, how I love thee. The Winspear Centre is another reason why Edmonton has such a great arts scene - we have the facilities! The Winspear is far more than just a facility for great music though, it's an experience. This beautiful theatre is the prime location for concerts. The acoustics are beyond amazing and the atmosphere demands respect. It's amazing how different instruments and vocals can sound when they have the right environment to project them. It is an incredible experience. I love closing my eyes when I'm at a concert at the Winspear because I get completely lost in the music. It carries me away. If you've never experienced a concert at the Winspear, whether you love music or not, I suggest you do so the next chance you get. It's a part of Edmonton and it's a part of my heart. read more

This was almost my first Five-Star. The Winspear is a phenomenal venue for live music. The sound and the view are amazing. Even the seats are fairly comfortable. Violet P and I saw Chicago play here (I'm referring to the band, not the musical) recently. They have a predominately horny sound (I'm talking about brass instruments here) and brass can be hit or miss in a live setting. The acoustics of the Winspear perfectly captured the essence and intricacies of Chicago's sound. During the show, the band themselves even commented on what a beautiful concert hall the Winspear is. I would like to see more concerts staged here. The Winspear and the Jubilee are the best venues for live shows in the city. They don't actually open up the concert hall itself until around thirty minutes before showtime which means that everybody has to loiter in the crowded lobby standing on each other's toes and competing for the same oxygen. This is probably a ploy to sell booze to people that have nothing else to do but drink and wait. So yeah, go see something there. read more

Top notch venue in the heart of the city. Though I have not been here for the symphony, I think at this point everyone knows about how the acoustics inside are conducive to a wonderful sound. This visit I caught comedian Bill Burr's performance. My tickets were on the third level and very last row. Thus, the weakest seats available. So I wanted to share my experience and give perspective on what it might be like to catch a performance from seats furthest away from the stage. If you want to see the stage I would suggest you bring binoculars because I thought it was difficult to see a performers face from the last row. The sound for the show was good. There were times I couldn't hear a few sentences of stand up bits. But it would likely be different compared to the symphony where the acoustical power would be way greater. I love the venue and the show was excellent. Just keep these things in mind if you see something and have last row tickets. An alley cat beer will set you back 6$. So bring a little money if you want to drink. read more

Goodness Gracious! I love this venue! I went and saw the Bare Naked Ladies perform with the ESO and it was a helluva lot of fun! I have to keep remembering and reminding people to go as often as they can. And when you do go be sure to pre-order your drinks so that you don't have to stand in long lines during the intermission. I feel bad everytime someone is chugging champagne as the 5 minute warning is announced over the PA. What fun is it burbing in unison with the ESO after the bubbles haven't quite yet settled? My frustration came when I picked up my drinks and found that coffee and bailey's had been substituted for my guests white wine request. To the credit of the staff they went behind the bar and got that glass of wine without me having to stand in line. I was also able to keep the coffee and bailey's and enjoy it myself. I will go back again. And again. And Again. And Again!!!!!! read more

What a great venue for everything from motivational speakers, to plays to concerts! This place has great acoustics and I've been fortunate enough to attend a few events here over the years! There is a great area outside the theatre to wine and dine, and mingle with other cultured individuals.... you're at the Winspear, I'd say you're pretty cultured if you're attending things at the Winspear! I don't thin there is a bad seat in the house - during my last visit I was fortunate enough to sit up lose, but I could see and hear everything the minute I walked in! Another great thing about the Winspear is it's location to the LRT - it's so easy to get to and if you train you definitely don't have to worry about finding and paying for parking! Definitely one of YEG's finer amenities! read more

I love the Winspear. I love it because there is no bad seat in the house. However this was not the case last Wednesday night when we went to see the Mavericks playing. We had great seats - row H, Left Orchestra - perfect view of the stage. And less than half an hour in, 5 women decided to get up and dance in the aisle. They had been enjoying the music - standing off to the side dancing (along with the Ushers), but then they decided to move into the aisle right in the front. This completely obliterated not only my view, but the view of several people from that angle. The people seated in front of me were livid. We were all extremely frustrated. The dancers, however, were oblivious. I get it. The music was infectious. I would've loved to get up and dance too. However, this is a venue with perfect seating where everyone can see the stage and enjoy the show with no standing required (unless you want to block someone else's view.) I was waiting for the ushers to intervene. But nothing happened. I was sure Security would intervene because dancing in the aisles in this venue is against fire regulations. But nothing. So, when the song ended, I got out of my seat and politely asked the ladies to please move out of the aisle as they were blocking the view of several patrons (who had all paid over $100 for their seats). One woman was mortified and immediately sat down. However the others decided they had been offended and continued some inane childish behaviour - prancing in front of the seated patrons - intentionally disrupting the view of many - and again, no action was taken on the part of the Winspear staff to prevent this. I don't understand how four or five people can disrupt the evening for over 100 with no action being taken. Appalling. Shame on you Winspear for not taking action when you should have. These ladies should have been escorted back to the seats they paid for. Instead they were allowed to ruin it for a multitude of others. Thumbs down to you on this one. read more

I love this place. I do. Whether you're there to see the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra or one of the many concert or shows they put on, you're in for a treat in this building. There really are not many 'bad' seats. Yes, the very back of the balcony's might not have the best sight lines, but the sound there is so impeccable that you don't miss much. The sound? The sound. Oh man, the sound. As one of the most acoustically balanced sound halls in North America, the sound here is incredible. I've been both in the seats and on the stage, and it doesn't matter. But if you want to see this building shine, get tickets to the ESO. They do so many shows, from the traditional classical music, to (what we saw last) Disney Songs! There's bound to be something you like somewhere in the season! I love their tribute nights to movies, Broadway, TV or whatever they decide to do. I've never seen a bad show put on by this team. read more

We are seriously lucky to have a facility like the Winspear in Edmonton. Definitely world class acoustics. If you have a chance to go when they are using the Davis concert organ, the sound will just blow you away. And although I'm a fan of the ESO, it's also a great place to catch other artists when they come to town. The Winspear holds a decent number of people, but maintains an intimate atmosphere. Great central location, directly connected to the LRT. Also lots of connected underground parking in the area. Sometimes a few shady characters along the 102 ave side at nights, but I've never seen any trouble. If you are at all into classical music, it's well worth seeing the ESO play at the Winspear. read more

Edmonton's premiere music concert hall is one of my favourite things about our thriving arts community. I've seen lots of concerts here, my most memorable being Cesaria Evora, the barefoot diva who shook the place with her powerful voice and soul tunes. The acoustics are phenomenal, not to mention the Davis Organ, which is only about six years old, is an amazing experience to hear. When the Opera couldn't perform for a year at The Jube, I saw all of their shows here, which were well adapted to the Winspear space. I've seen The Nutcracker here, and lots of symphony shows, with guest performers. You can always anticipate a good show here, and there's something in the season's line-up for every taste, whether that be classical, latin, jazz, blues or rock. I'd like to get a season's pass one day. It's a good date night for couples or a cultural girls' night out. read more

The Winspear is a jewel. The acoustics are world class. I had the pleasure of hearing a sound check during the Winspear's debut. Someone played a few notes on a baby grand piano. The clarity and fullness of sound convinced me this is one of the best concert theatres around. Symphony, concerts, their stunning organ being played, ANYTHING is guaranteed to sound remarkable. I love the architectural economy. The simple elegance of polished concrete, glass, metal, and wood. But have you noticed the artwork here? Some of the best and brightest of the Alberta art scene have pieces displayed here. Phil Darrah's massive abstract graces the foyer and every well considered niche holds another artistic gem. I have come to the Winspear Centre many times over the years to listen to fabulous people in concert, to listen to the symphony and to hear motivational speakers. I have even been fortunate enough to sing here with some choir ensembles. It is the best venue by far for acoustics. It truly doesn't matter where you sit in the concert hall as the sound is absolutely fabulous anywhere you sit! I will never forget listening to John Legend here. It was like he was in my living room playing for me. And to perform in this venue is equally a treat for many of the same reasons. The staff are always friendly and organized and contribute to making your visit here wonderful. This past week I came here to attend my cousin's high school Christmas choir concert. The event was actually held in the foyer of the Winspear. To my surprise, the stage and the sound were wonderful. Maybe not as wonderful if they were in the concert hall but lovely none the less. The back drop of the stage was the beautifully lit Churchill Square. The Christmas lights definitely helped to get you in the holiday spirit. read more

I've gone here on several occasions for concerts. The time I remember most vividly was the time I went here to see my cousin in a violin concert. The music floated through the hall so beautifully. It was not overwhelming or too quiet. It was literally perfect. That is until a little kid threw up in the isle and the entire place started to stink of child barf. Yuck. Obviously this was not the Winspear's fault, and so I do not dock stars or points for the situation. The lobby of the Winspear is also very beautiful. It is simple, but very light because of the front windows. All in all, a very beautiful place to listen to music or see a concert of any kind. All Edmontonians should experience the Winspear. read more

I am always impressed by my time at the Winspear Center. I don't think there's a bad seat in the house. I was there for Hawksley Workman concert and the acoustics were just fantastic. I like the intimate setting and feeling connected to the artist or performer. Wish more artists would do shows here. The staff is more than happy to direct you to your seats if needed. Underground parking close by is a bonus especially now that it is getting chillier. read more

The Winspear is one the best concert venues in Edmonton. The sound quality is excellent and you can never get a bad seat! The Edmonton Symphony Orchestra plays regularly and it is always a treat to go on a Sunday afternoon. They serve alcohol (beer, wine, coolers) and have a coffee bar, but the best part is that you can bring your drinks in during our performance! So great that more venues are moving towards having drinks in the theatre. read more

Great sound and sight lines no matter where you are in the building. Staff are friendly and tell you where your seats are right when you arrive. There are other ushers closer to your seat who will also help you track your seat down too. I've never really felt uncomfortable in the seats even during a long performance. It's always clean too. One of the top two venues in the city. Coat check is $2 and is well staffed so there aren't huge lines. read more

You can't argue about the fantastic sound you get at the Winspear. Whether there for the ESO or another band, the mix and volume are always perfect. Recently I've caught Joel Plaskett (and awesome opener Frank Turner), Ben Folds (with ESO) and a few summers back, Ray Davies. Whenever I hear a band or musician is coming to Edmonton, I cross my fingers that they will play the Winspear. Besides the outstanding acoustics, I've always found the staff to be friendly and service (at the coffee or liquor bars) to be quick despite the large intermission crowds. read more

A great venue for concerts. The acoustics are phenomenal due to the construction of the perfect environment. There are plenty of seats and from what I saw not one look liked a bad seat. The sense given is just a step up from a private venue. Its an intimate and interactive experience. The lobby itself was rather large and had plenty of room for the occupants to socialize. Drinks seemed a reasonable price, and there was plenty of staff around to service patrons needs, and to also control outside gawkers attempts on ruining the evening. I wish they had more parking but its downtown and space is limited. Im very excited for my next concert here. read more

Never book the Winspear as your venue! The management was unresponsive and never met deadlines nor returned emails or calls. Very unprofessional. Edmonton has so many other beautiful venues, don't waste your time here. This non-profit is lacking real management and business professionals. Spend your time and money elsewhere! read more
