This review is well overdue. I am a long-time sufferer of facial acne around my jawline, especially hormonal acne. This was my first time getting an actual customized facial and it was such a great experience. I had heard about Jasmine through my hairstylist's Instagram and decided to give her a try after seeing the results from my hairstylist. Although a main concern of mine is acne, I decided to go for the customized facial since it was my first official facial and since I didn't have any major breakouts at the time. Winter's Diary Esthetics is located in Salon Republic in Sunnyvale (close to the Target and Ulta on McKinley). Like some of the other businesses I've been to at Salon Republic, Jasmine's space is clean and provides a very relaxing vibe. We started off by going over my skin routine from the products I use and their main ingredients, along with my skin concerns. You can tell that Jasmine is very knowledgable about skincare and really tailored the facial to accommodate my skin type and concerns. I love that she explained each step and what exactly she was putting on my face along with why she was using certain products e.g., to help brighten acne scars and to help with the congestion on my face. I also appreciated how she went over how some products might tingle since they included acids like glycolic acid or mandelic acid and offered to neutralize it on the way should it become uncomfortable. Fortunately it was not bad and I even learned that my skin barrier was not as compromised as I thought. The skin on my nose is very congested so the most satisfying part was when she did the extraction. It was a bit of a weird sensation since I wasn't used to it but again, she offered to adjust the pressure at any time and overall it was pretty cool (at least for me lol) to see the oil that was extracted from my pores. Overall the vibe was very relaxing and you can tell Jasmine puts a lot of effort into providing a comfortable and unique experience for her clients, really listening to the information I provided her and offering some advice about what to look for in products given the concerns I brought up. Once I got home, my skin was glowing and I could notice a difference with my pores. I already recommended her to one of my friends and am looking forward to booking my next appointment! read more

Jasmine was wonderful! I have weird, curly eyebrows that are hard to shape properly, and she did wonderfully! During the 6 months I've been a WDLS customer, Jasmine has done an incredible job with my lash extensions and fills. I received my first lash extensions from Jasmine, fell in love with the look, and have since been scheduling for routine fills. She was incredibly informative, patient, and kind the first visit. Since then, I have been consistently pleased with the results. Jasmine displays excellent technical skills and expertise of the lash process, meaning her service is trustworthy. The studio is very clean and nicely decorated. It can get a little chilly as a requirement for the lash glue to properly dry, however Jasmine is accommodating to that and has blankets on hand. I end up taking "lash naps", waking up to a fresh wonderful set! I met Jasmine a few months ago when my normal go-to-girl for Brazilian waxing moved away...and let's be frank, we all know that having to go to new places for waxing is not always as comfortable as we pretend it is. But this experience is the exception for me. I have been to about 10 different places for waxing and I can attest that Jasmine is the best I have ever had. Her place is clean, comfy and intimate- which for me is the perfect ambiance for a very personal service. And for the most important question of how was it? Um yeah, it was a 10. It was fast yet thorough and most importantly for me, pretty much painless. Okay, we can be honest, this service is not ever 'not' painless, however when you go to a place where you can keep a friendly conversation and forget why it is you are even there for a moment, then yeah, I'd say it was (cuz we've all been to a place some time or other where you think, girl, how are you not done yet? This hurts me more than you, remember?) But I assure you that is not the case with Jasmine. I was so impressed with her services and professionalism that I also went back to her for a lash extension (which I had never done before, always wanted to but also was worried I'd be one of those who shares a horror allergic reaction story on YouTube), and to sound like a complete girl, oh my gosh you guys, it was one of the best experiences ever (yes that was meant for a very dramatic and serious type of PSA moment...cuz ya girl was nervous about silly lashes) But Jasmine was precise, gentle and so experience that no one in my immediate family- yes MY FAMILY who I see all the time never even commented on me having bigger/more lashes than I ever have in my entire life. And let's get one thing straight my dears, I have barely any lashes to speak of- not an exaggeration. So to put it simply, Jasmine made me feel like a new woman without the unnecessary attention that a Kardashian would get for a new nose job. In other words, I could not be more thrilled with how natural the lashes looked and I know that is all do to her skill set. Lastly...So yes, we covered Brazilian waxing (yikes) and a beautiful luscious lash service (amazing), but now I will mention another key service that I have been searching for with what seems like worrisome pockets (money) and increasingly prominent laugh lines- the Facial. Yes, they are expensive at most salons, but yes they are necessary. I don't care if you are 19 and think you are going to live forever- FACIALS ARE CRUCIAL. They will change your beauty regiment and how you take care of yourself. So with that I decided to also go back to Jasmine- Yes, the same Jasmine I have been talking about (she is a one-stop-shop) for a 60 minute customized facial. And holy hell, it was amazing. Her knowledge of the products and what was best for my skin was so on point that I felt like I was in an Elizabeth Arden spa for crying out loud. I felt great afterwards, there was no irritation, redness or reaction and I just can't wait until I have my next appointment so I can keep this whole routine of "taking-care-of-myself-for-a-very-reasonable-price" up.
