This place was ok. I work nearby and stopped for lunch. The bread was pretty tough, tough enough that I was afraid it was going to ruin my temporary crown on my tooth. The food was good, but the customer service was lacking. The first time I ordered I asked for pepperoncinis on my sandwich. When I picked up my phone order I saw the pepperoncinis were there but whole on the side. The next time I ordered I asked them to cut them up and put them on the sandwich. I was told that they would do it this time because they weren't too busy. This was absurd, I didn't order anything complicated, just a cheese sandwich with mayonnaise, mustard, lettuce, tomatoes, and pepperoncinis. It's not like I asked them go out and pick fresh produce and wash it in 62.5 degree water with their left hand only, dry it under the sun, and then make the sandwich with a wry smile. read more

If you work in the area, this is a nice place to grab a cheap, fast lunch. They have sandwiches, soups, salads, and many drinks and snacks. You can get a full meal (sandwich, chips, drink) for under $10, which is really great! The people who work there are nice and the food comes out pretty quickly. I've had hits and misses with their sandwiches. I think the Chicken Ensanada is AMAZING! If you like spicy, you should definitely get that. It's a grilled chicken sandwich with some jalapeno sauce and jack cheese, lettuce and tomato, on a French roll. Sooo good. But, the Hot Pastrami on Dutch Crunch bread I've had here completely missed the mark in every way! First of all, the Dutch Crunch bread had absolutely no "crunch", the pastrami wasn't hot (it was barely even warm), they added lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise to the sandwich, and they only had the pickle on the side! That ain't no pastrami sandwich in my encyclopedia of sandwiches! But I mean I definitely still ate it and it wasn't bad haha. The Winton Deli Cafe is the closest restaurant to my workplace and it's certainly not a bad option at all. read more

They have a large selection of sandwiches that they half ass pull off. Maybe they should just concentrate on a few sandwiches which actually taste good. The guy behind the counter does not enjoy working there and it's noticeable to the point where I decided to eat my sandwich in my vehicle rather than stay in "deli." Just tried a sandwich today and thought it would be killer but ended up not being as good as I thought. I wanted to try a local deli. The place down the street called Star Catering tastes way better and is well worth the price. They're sandwiches dont compare to Winton Deli's. The amount of meat and pesto is definitely not worth it at Winston Deli. Overall, I could have made this sandwich at home and it would have tasted way better. read more

Have to agree with Chad R review. The place has been around for at least the last 10 years but when Sam took it over he really did an awesome job. Every time I go in there he's doing something new to make it better or more of an enjoyable experience. I like the fact that you can walk into a business and the owner is there everyday and engaging with the customers and your on a first name basis. It might sound kind of cheesy but that's what this country is lacking small business owners who are there because they love to provide a service and better others life's. This is a very large sandwich shop. The place is clean and the sandwiches are great! Only 4/5 stars though because we order sandwiches from here at my work quite often (over the phone) and every other time they get the ordered screwed up. It is hard to find Deli's that make basic old fashion sandwiches. I am pleased to say this place meets my expectations with plenty of space to eat without crowds. We're only given 30 minutes for lunch break and I didn't pack food so I had to make a fast run to get foo.d This deli is 5 minutes away so it was a no brainer. The place was empty and as i got closer to the counter, a lady with a bun (no pun intended) asked me what I wanted. The combination of her size, her enlarged eyes and her frowned face intimidated me so instead of studying their menu above, I immediately ordered a turkey sandwich. Sandwich wasn't bad, more bread than meat for sure. Despite the rating, if I'm ever starving and forget to pack lunch again, I'll probably be back. Why you ask? Convenience of (1) distance (2) time. Place is always empty, I can be in & out in 7 minutes. If service was a little bit better, I'd definitely be more inclined to come back even if I wasn't starving. read more
