One of the disclosures asked about special needs, which I answered honestly. After that, I never received a quote or any follow-up. It's hard not to wonder if that disclosure influenced their decision not to move forward. I went with my partner to the Tempe office located at 2125 E Warner Rd, Ste 101, Tempe, AZ 85384 to wait with him while he had his wisdom teeth removed. We arrived 02-21-25 at 8:45am for a 9am appointment. The young lady at the front desk was cold and dismissive. She gave the impression that she just hated her job and the people there. No friendliness whatsoever. Now, this is just my personal opinion and other people may disagree, but I feel like positive interactions with patients is essential for anyone with front desk duties. Patients are scared, they're in pain, they're seeking comfort. They don't need to be treated like an inconvenience. That interaction should have been a red flag. After waiting a few minutes in the lobby, we were taken back where my partner and I were separated. He was taken down a hall while I was led to the treatment room where the surgery would happen. After waiting about ten minutes, my partner was brought over and the doctor came in shortly after to speak with us. He was extremely professional and the interaction was wonderful. However, he did give us the bad news that the 2D imaging showed that the bottom two wisdom teeth were right next to a nerve and there was no way he could proceed unless they did a CBCT scan to provide a 3D image. He told us that their machine hasn't worked in ages and without that imaging, he could not proceed due to risks that could potentially lead facial numbness / paralysis. Fine. That's understandable. The doctor stated he could refer us out for imaging that we could bring back to him for review. At that point, he would let us know whether he could perform the procedure or if he would need to send us to one of their surgery centers which would be better equipped to handle this type of situation. Of course, we opted to go to one of their surgery centers so we could avoid this hassle altogether. One stop shop. We were given a referral to take with us and were told that any of those facilities could take us - some even accepted walk-ins. Already, my partner felt so defeated because we paid the $200 deposit, waited three weeks for this appointment, and took the day off work so we could be here - only to be turned away due to the facility being ill-equipped to handle these situations. When we left the office, I was determined to figure this out. So when we got to the car, I looked at the referral and saw that is was for a completely different facility called Valley Endodontics and Oral Surgery. This confused me because the doctor said they would refer us to one of THEIR surgery centers. I just assumed they were affiliated so I called the Chandler location and explained our situation to the person over the phone. I told the person over the phone that we already paid the deposit and I wondered if that would be credited to our account there. The person who took my call was so gracious and apologetically explained that they have no affiliation with The Wisdom Teeth Guys and that I would need to call them for a refund to apply towards their own services. She was so kind and caring and went out of her way to squeeze us in for a 10am appointment, which was only 30 minutes from that point. Fortunately, we were only 5 minutes away. The staff at Valley Endodontics was so warm and inviting. They took us right away and wound up being way cheaper than The Wisdom Teeth Guys. I'm writing this review in their lobby while I wait for my partner to finish up with his surgery. Stay away from The Wisdom Teeth Guys if you don't want to have your time wasted. read more

I just called to schedule Wisdom Teeth removal for my son and they told me that since he has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair (they actually repeatedly used the phrase "wheelchair bound") they cannot see them there that he'd have to go to a hospital. He is extremely healthy and has always gone to a regular dentist. To suggest wisdom teeth removal for him at a hospital is nothing short of ridiculous (and ableism). read more

I got my wisdom teeth taken out here, it's hard to gauge the experience since I was knocked out as soon as I got in the chair. They really rushed the process, I didn't like how they brushed off my questions just to knock me out as quickly as possible. They also seemed to be disorganized as well. They overcharged me and I didn't know about until later when they sent a check in the mail for $183. But I guess it was a successful surgery because after about a month the pain was finally completely gone though I still have two small holes open where my bottom two wisdom teeth were, 4 months later. Which is inconvenient because food particles still get stuck in them after every meal I eat and I have to manually flush them out with a water pick. Shouldn't the holes have closed by now? read more

I went to the wisdom teeth guys because they were recommended by my usual dentist office and my experience was HORRIBLE. I woke up mid surgery from my wisdom teeth removal (I was lightly sedated but was still traumatizing) and they freaked out when I had an extra molar tooth when my partner and I had pointed it out in the X-ray. But the WORST part was I was in agonizing pain and I couldn't sleep, could barely open my mouth, and they made me feel like one of those people just looking for painkillers even though I was 1.5 weeks post op and in agonizing pain that I was crying on my way to work. I only give a kind rating because they fit me in quickly and helped with the pain of my mouth and unable to open it enough to sip soup but the way they handled my pain was horrible and is the reason I would not recommend them. Not everyone is looking for drugs and I explained "I'd rather not be here but unfortunately I have to be bc I'm in pain and no one will listen to how much pain I'm in". If you have a high pain tolerance and are good with ibuprofen and Tylenol you'll do great here but I didn't. read more

Many clear reminders leading up to surgery day. Got us right in when arrived, on time. Out within an hour and no complications. Leo was outstanding helping me with the Exrays, helped me calm down and he did wonders with the IV! Ally was outstanding with helping me with medication and sedating me! My experience with the wisdom teeth guys has been amazing. They were able to get me in very quickly and the procedure itself was very quick and there were no complications whatsoever. Everyone in the office are very pleasant, both the doctor and the anesthesiologist took their time to explain everything before the procedure. I went to the Mesa office. The office is beautiful and a very relaxing environment. They also checked in with me to make sure I was healing okay. Total assembly line type of business. No patient care no understanding. No bedside manner. Told them upon arrival that we suffer from high anxiety, yet nothing seem to accommodate that. Complained of BP cuff being too tight. Hand was turning purple. After parent left, the room, doctor said, "you won't feel that when you're asleep". Last thing she heard before going under was "oh my God she's still crying!" Only a couple of examples from our visit. Would gladly pay a little bit more for better patient care. My estimate for my out of pocket cost in network with them was between $1100-$1800 WITH Insurance, mind you my insurance pays 90% and I pay 10 percent. Yet If you don't have insurance, their website says it's 1795 cash price. So what are they billing my insurance 18,000? For wisdom teeth. We even three-way called with my insurance and my insurance told them it shouldn't be that expensive but they are saying the doctors that are performing the surgery are at a higher fee rate?!??? This place is a JOKEEEEE. I looked them up on Better Business Bureau after my 3 way call and you should too before going here. They also wouldn't schedule me on the date and time I needed until other slots filled up earlier in the day and I pay them $200. I'm really confused on how they have 4.9 star reviews on google, my experience with them has been really poor. And that sucks since I went to them based off the reviews. First, the MA or dental assistant Kaila has zero bedside manner, and is incredibly rude for no reason at all, offers little direction, and seems like she hates her life and her job. Second, I asked their team 3 TIMES to please let me know when they are giving me the medicine to put me under because I have anxiety. My request for them to let me know was to 3 different people before and after I had an IV in my arm. They did not let me know they were giving me medicine to put me under. I left 2 stars in this review because they actually took my wisdom teeth out, and the anesthesiologist was very sweet and willing to answer questions to help calm my nerves. Third, Since being post op for over a week, I've had extended pain on one side. The first time I mentioned this I felt like they brushed me off. I've developed a hard lump on the painful side of my mouth and someone who I assume wasn't a doctor said "yeah it's normal to have a cold sore after". I don't know why she thought it was okay to diagnose me over a text message, and I'm interested to know what credentials she had to do that. Later I developed a yeast infection from the antibiotics and asked if they can prescribe treatment or if I need to schedule with my GP. I received a text back hours later saying "yeah I'll have my doctor send something for you" it's been 3 days and still no word from them. Thank GOD I used to work in the medical field and have close relationships with doctors and could actually get a prescription from them. Still have pain on the right side of my mouth, I called their post op phone number yesterday where you call with questions and concerns after surgery, I reached a general voicemail and left a message that still hasn't been returned. Good luck if you have more complications than I have, because I doubt they call you back! In my option, its been made quite obvious that this is a "churn and burn" type of place.
