I do kinda feel like a jerk sharing a review after not coming here for almost 4 years... but I have to look at the awful results I got everyday and will have to for the rest of my life... so, here we go. I really hope Christie has improved her craft. She's very nice and cool to be around, which is the main reason I kept going to her, even though she gave me second degree burns. I went to Christie for about 3-4 sessions, I forget at this point... and what she did to me has made continuing removal extremely hard for me, the damage to my skin from her was THAT great in only 3 sessions. I have had to put removals on a huge halt over the years, I'm 5 years into removal, and at this point I'm 15 treatments in. Treatments have had to be extremely gentle due to how much hypopigmentation , hyperpigmentation and skin texture damage Christie caused. I put off my wedding as long as I could, thinking nearly 5 years would've been enough time to remove my half sleeve enough for a coverup... especially since Christie told me my removal should only take 6-8 sessions? Which In hindsight... is an INSANE red flag for lack of experience. Now, I hope she has improved her craft, and I genuinely hope the best for her... but having to spend my life covering myself, being embarrassed from the scarring, and knowing my hand will never be able to be in the sun again makes me think that leaving a review and upsetting Christie is nothing compared to what I've had to deal with and will have to continue spending thousands of dollars to try and fix. Think I'm dramatic? Look at these pictures. These are ONLY after Christie's sessions. Not any other technician I've gone to. Because of Christie, full removal may not even be possible anymore ... but my current technician is the best in the business.. so we shall see. I just wish I could go back. Defend myself against her gaslighting of , "you didn't ice enough". No amount of icing could have prevented any of this. I just wish I would've advocated for myself and challenged her "no refund" policy. I hope you think about me forever Christie, because I have no choice but to think about you every time I look at my freakin hand. I don't want to hear from you, I don't want an apology. I just want to warn people so they don't have to deal with what I've had to. read more

I came across this business on Groupon while searching for some tattoo removal deals for a very old tattoo that I've had since my late teen years and I am now in my mid 30s. I connected with Christie and learned that my tattoo was too big to be honored by the Groupon deal so I decided to do some shopping around but still eventually ended up going with her business because she truly has the best price and seemed to really know her stuff. The tattoo removal process itself does hurt... but she has a machine that blows cold air during the removal process and also instructed me to ice the area which really helped! I was sort of preparing for the worst but after just 2 sessions .. my tattoo is about 75% gone. If you really want a tattoo removed... Christie knows what she's doing and I absolutely 10/10 highly recommend her business. A few other things to mention: I was a little skeptical about the metered parking but it has been totally fine since the removal process is so fast... I usually just bring change and put a couple of quarters in the meter. Also, she has made me feel very comfortable and has been available for questions and concerns. In my youth, I got some really stupid tattoos. Then I tried to cover those abominations. Then... you get the picture. Before I got married 20 years ago, I tried to have one of my tattoos (pictured) removed. It was expensive, slow and excruciating (old laser). It didn't work very well 8-10 treatments recommend and I did 3), and it was absolute torture. Epic fail! Fast forward, I found Christie Carlin, who absolutely ROCKS! I came in because of a deal that was treatment of a tattoo the size of a credit card. My tattoo is on a spot not visible to me, so before I went in I had my friend make sure a credit card fully covered the tattoo. Went I went in I was told a credit card wouldn't cover it and I had to pay additional. I was upset unsure if my friend didn't measure carefully. When I got home my friend measured again and took pictures alongside a ruler, which confirmed my tattoo is just under credit card size. Not quite 2x3. Got my first session of tattoo removal on my eyebrows and arm. Waited 6 weeks to see results. Arm is ok, I can see the difference in ink dissolving but eyebrows stayed exact same ink color as before the procedure. I've mentioned this to Christie twice but all I got is "bummer about your brows". This is not what you want to hear when you spend $120 on the procedure. I also said that I felt like I wasted $120 since the laser treatment didn't help and just left me with bleached browhairs. I do feel disappointed as Christie didn't offer any solution. read more

So Yelp allows for a 5-Star review, but it only says 'Great'. 'Great' is an understatement. Christie at Wise Choice Tattoo is phenomenal, and that probably is also an understatement. My consultation with her was laid back, and very informational. I have 3 tattoos, and my lower back tattoo has been a pain point 18 years out of the 19 I've had it. I had done a ton of research on tattoo removal and kept coming back to Wise Choice. My first appointment was awesome. She walked me through the process again, and then during the session she kept checking on me and making sure I was ok. The aftercare package was also fantastic, and she checked on me via text later that day. I debated waiting until I had clearer pictures of more defined results, but Christie went out of her way to check on me after my first session yesterday and that should speak volumes to anyone who would consider Wise Choice. It is clear from the amount of time that Christie spends ensuring that you are comfortable and relaxed and aware of the removal process to the time that you leave (and even the next day!) that she LOVES what she does. She even walks you through some of her own tattoo mistakes which made me feel very comfortable and was a humanizing and kind gesture, seeing as the reason I was there was because I was tired of having something that I did not like permanent on my body. She excels at her job, regardless of any kind of instant results (which we should all know will vary person by person). For me, I had roughly a 4" by 2" black 13 year old (older tattoos are removed in less sessions) tattoo on the back of my neck that I do actually see results from after one session. The insides of the tattoo are very faded compared to yesterday and I did not experience any more pain than what I was told I might go through, actually, the opposite. The actual process of the laser on skin was about 30 seconds and I cannot wait to see my results after my next appointment in six weeks. One thing I'd like to add is I waited and waited and waited until I was confident that technology had progressed to the point of me knowing I will see results after a few sessions, and I am so thankful that I did. I did not see any other removal places around Denver with the laser that Wise Choice uses, but I guess I could be wrong about that.
