I put off replacing my HVAC system for a couple of years. I dreaded the due diligence process (I am very thorough) and wanted to make sure I fully vetted several (5) local companies. I've had the unit for a couple of months and I'm thrilled with my decision. The system is extremely quiet, very effective in maintaining the desired temperature and easy to operate (I chose the Ecobee thermostat and app). You can trust this company. The owner and his team are absolute pros and really nice people. I had inspectors come out to permit the unit and they confirmed Wise Owl did a great job. There's no BS, no upselling, no vague answers or smoke and mirrors (I encountered some of this with other vendors). I highly recommend them and I wouldn't consider doing business with anyone else. Nate came by to look at our a/c as we had some issues with it over the summer and they were so knowledgable, honest and fair 6 months ago that I asked them to come back and give us a quote on a whole new unit for this house. I called Wise Owl Air to help us with an issue with our heating system. The tech that showed up was obviously learning the trade and, with some help from someone on the phone, ended up diagnosing the issue as being either the Induction unit or the controller board and recommended replacing both ($3200). This seemed really high to me and I checked with another company to get a second estimate. The other company did a thorough job of assessing and diagnosing the issue and was fairly certain it was neither of these and correctly diagnosed the issue to be the gas control valve ($700). I agreed to the work with the second company and the unit is performing flawlessly. Anyway, with this experience, I cannot recommend them. read more
