We hired Seaside AC & Heating to replace a broken pan in the attic, which was leaking. They came out within 2 days to investigate and give us a quote for any work to be done. Great experience overall. Steve came out and did the site survey then provided a quote. I wanted a specific brand and he suggested a specific size and model; he didn't try to upsell a larger unit. On the installation date, Felipe and his son Jio came out to do a clean, neat job. It's not the cheapest price however I feel it's an excellent value. Terrible experience. Called Seaside for heating repair since unit was not working. Seaside label was on the unit so I thought they would be able to fix the issue. The technician confirmed that they had done the original install. Technician that came looked at the unit and told me that unit was not getting connected to wall controller. He said our office could send installer to redo wiring so I asked him to do so. He called his office and then told me that the office did not want to fix the wiring but would just suggest a wireless controller as a fix. He told me it would cost $650 for a new wireless controller. I agreed. 2 days before the appointment, the office called and said the cost would be $1050 since manufacturer increased the price. I cancelled the appointment all together and called another HVAC company. The exact controller model that the company told me about was $282 on Amazon. The new company fixed the wiring without having to add any new components or even having to change the controller. Not just that the technician was not competent and he messed up the wiring, but also was unfriendly. Good HVAC companies are hard to find and this one surely isn't one. read more

I have had a great experience with them from the start. 3 years ago, the founder, Victor Serrao, replaced my dated furnace while adding an air conditioning unit. He was extremely efficient and professional in upgrading my unit. And it was done at a very reasonable price, relative to the other bids. Last week I noticed my air conditioning was not working. Scott Hagen, Service Manager, came out within 3 days and identified the problem after running a full diagnostic check, which was a faulty blower motor under warranty. He was then back out to my house within the week, after ordering the part, to replace it. Within an hour, Scott had everything fixed and went the extra mile to clean up the wiring "spaghetti" left by the OEM within the original unit. An Honest Service Company! After two other furnace service companies came to our house and attemped to sell us a whole new furnace at over $10,000 or a replacement part we did not need, Scott Hagen ol Seaside came out and got us operating safely for no new parts. Furthermore, before I could explain the tactics of the first company, Scott called his sales manager to tell me they have seen many times the exact scam that the first company tried to pull on us. The go up in the attic, spend some time and then come down to show you pictures on their cell phone of what they described as a cracked heat exchanger and said they had to shut down our furnace because it is not safe. Subsequently, we had Scott and another company and the gas company say we did not have an unsafe furnace. This is exactly what they did to us. Folks, beware if you have a furnace over 15 years old, these scammers will pull this scam on you even if your furnace is working fine and safely. The lesson here is to make any service company show you for yourself any problems they claim. They are okay. We ordered a tuneup for $95. The technician inspected everything and told us that the old AC can't gain more efficiency because, it's old. Maybe it's true. Towards the end of the tuneup, the technician broke a pull-out disconnect switch. He said it's already broken which again, may be true. The AC is dysfunctional at that point so he replaced the switch. The switch's retail price is $15. The technician showed me that the repair price is $250 as per company policy. We paid $195 for the total tuneup and the replacement of pull-out disconnect switch. read more
