In addition, searching for singles is tucked away so you have to use the computer in the very back of the store, which isn't well highlighted unless you ask. Everything is relatively priced at MSRP, so you won't be charged insane rates if you do find something you're looking for to add to your collection. I will say that their amount of card game supplies is very well equipped. If you ever need boxes or sleeves they have plenty! I would recommend coming here for supplies to elevate your card game experience!

Conveniently, this shpp was a minute away from the Chinese restaurant we just had lunch at. So we made our way in. This toy store was literally a time capsule of our childhood. There were toys from when we were little that we totally forgot about. Rainbow Brite, Teddy Ruxpin, My Little Ponies, Mr. Potatoe Head. It brought back so many fond memories playing with these gems. You can find a little of everything here. It was neat looking at all the different collectables that the store had. My husband of course gravitated to the Transformers since he's an avid collector. There was a Soundwave that caught his attention but they were asking for 350 bucks for it and the box was pretty beat up. Maybe if the box was in better condition, my husband might have considered purchasing it. I overheard the gentleman behind the counter tell someone that they will be closing this summer. Sad hearing that since novelty stores like these are a rare find. It's hard for small businesses to compete against these big stores selling the big shiny new toys. Who needs a shiny new toy when you can get a dope ass old collectable to hang on to! We did leave without the Soundwave. We both felt bad leaving without buying anything but nothing really caught our eye. I hope that this store stays open a little longer than just summer. I tried applying for their Customer Loyalty And Newsletter program, but they denied me for some reason. I know my neighbor was able to get it. Initially I came in to buy some paint for a pilot model for one of my airplanes. I don't think they fully understood that the helmet was conical and would need a lighter shade of grey, almost a pure white color. I think the guy that helped the other two off duty cops knew what color I needed but he withheld which shelf and section I could find that particular item. I probably didn't Cross my T's and dot my I's. At first I didn't get greeted by the person walking up and down the isles and I had to greet the person who seemed to be buddy buddy with everyone. The person in the back didn't give the same level of customer service he did to the irish gentlemen as he did to me. I don't understand it. It was very... rigid. I had to say hello and ask how he was doing. He didn't respond, but honestly I think I understand why. This is a family shop. It seemed everyone there was family. Possibly all related. If I didn't look like their cousin or brother, then I wasn't going to get the same level of service. Anyways, I wasn't able to find the conical head apparel for the pilot on my air plane. Admittedly, I think they only sell conical shaped hats in specialty stores. I would suggest looking at their website before going in as there are two huge sections of their site that contain zero inventory. Indeed, it was a dark and stormy day on this visit and going down a set of stair into the inner recesses of the building sort of lent that vibe. It is a very cool place, chock full of stuff, ranging from action figures, some of which I haven't seen in over a decade, to other, much more recent stuff, displays as dioramas, arcade cabinets, and a veritable host and slew of other items. Right when you walk in, you will be in a front area with a ton of comic book action figures, always a welcome sight, but there is quite a lot more as you progress further and deeper into the bowels of the store. These kind of places sort of live and die on a couple of things, which are, namely, selection and price, and on both counts, this store excels. Not only can you easily spend hours sifting through the magic on the shelves, but I didn't find a single price I thought was out of line. Most of them were quite reasonable, in fact, which is nice to see, given what the toy market has been doing in recent years. This seems like another passion project and the owner is quite pleasant to visit with as well, so with any luck, this one won't stay super under-the-radar for too long. Probably one of the better toy hunting experiences I've had in recent years and looking forward to the next!
