We came here in September and everything was amazing!! So good. We came back recently because we really enjoyed it the first time, but this visit was just okay. The staff is still incredibly kind and friendly. They were just as welcoming as we remembered, and that alone makes me want to support this place. This time, though, the açaí bowl wasn't quite the same. The base tasted much more like banana than açaí, and there wasn't as much fruit as our first visit. It just didn't feel as balanced or as fresh as the bowl we had before. I still think it's worth checking out because the people working here are genuinely wonderful. I ordered the Kauaiian Açai Bowl. Came on a Sunday morning; wait was about 15 minutes. Service was great. The thing I really liked about this bowl was the creamy texture of the Açai and the fresh fruits on top. Other than that, it was honestly not as good as expected. Although the Açai texture was perfect, it lacked flavor. The entire bowl could have had more sweetness (and I like my desserts to be not-too-sweet). I was disappointed that the granola was bland. We drove up to the Granola House remembering how much we loved it two years ago. This place is not disappoint. We ordered two different bowls. Both very different but amazing. For the coffee though, make sure to ask for light ice, otherwise it's like 75% ice and you barely get any coffee to drink. This is basically a roadside stand, see my pic. (There was some outdoor seating.) We stopped by to get granola for the following morning's breakfast. As you can see from my menu pic, they have a variety of packaged granola to choose from. Or, you buy granola by the bowl. We had their Granola Brittle, see my pic. We didn't have enough time to drive the 30-minutes to (and from) the açaí bowl place we really wanted to try, but we were happy to stumble upon this little hut instead. First off, I'm thrilled their bowls come in nice, wide pint-sized containers so you can get plenty of toppings and have a good base to topping ratio. I am not skilled in guessing what is in each açaí base, but I enjoyed this very dark purple one. It's a little less sweet than others. I also appreciated the mound of blueberries that came on top! Our group only had açaí bowls, but you can get other fruit bowls as well as various types of granola, as it is part of the Wailua Granola Co., which is made on Kauai. I don't know if you can try their various granolas in the bowls, but looking back, I would have asked about that, as they have many flavorful varieties. Pretty much everything also comes as a smoothie as well. As with many places, you eat either in your car or on some parking lot adjacent seating. It's a busy intersection, so that definitely takes away from the ambience. If you don't mind sitting in the sun, you can sit with your back to the traffic and look at their nice little back yard! read more

i've had a lot of acai bowls, especially coming from california and having a lot of them in the bay area and socal. these are byfar the BEST acai bowls i've ever had, and it has EVERYTHING to do with how DELICIOUS their GRANOLA is!!!!! i cannot explain how fragrant and flavorful it is, with such a unique taste. they also source their honey from a local farmer, and that honey- my gosh!!! so floral and fragrant, not too terribly headache sweet but just perfectly enough!! service was kind and welcoming! ambiance was chill; there's seating outside bc it's just a little granola acai stand. they also sell smoothies and coffee and tea, but you should DEF get the acai bowls with their granola and honey!!!!! it's literally THE POINT!! ljterally so so happy we just happened to stop here because our map route was wrong and we had to fix it lol. what a privilege to have tasted this!! read more

We stopped by a couple of times to check out The Granola House on our latest trip to the island. Their social media posts had popped up on my feed & since my lady loves her some acai bowls, I let her know that this place looked good. Our initial trip there, it was quite busy. It was mid-morning and it looked like a lot of folks that had checked out nearby Wailua Falls were there for some acai bowls & smoothies. My lady got the The Kauaiian Bowl ($16) which comes with their house-made peanut butter, Wailua granola, blueberries, strawberries, chocolate chips, a drizzy of raw Kaua'i honey... all of that on top of their signature acai blend. This acai bowl looked great. My lady really liked it. She almost always gets an acai bowl whenever we go to the North Shore & we were glad to find a place in town that had what she likes. Covered seating available. Some benches and some chairs that face the lush small valley out back. It's a nice view... We picked up some Wailua Granola ($12) to take back to the mainland on our 2nd visit as well. Service was friendly. Plenty of parking out front in their lot. Located right off Kuhio Hwy before heading up towards Wailua Falls. read more

Such a cute roadside stop! Very aesthetically pleasing and looked well kept. There was some seating outside and a few parking spots. The house itself was adorable. The menu had lots of options and it was evident that they use clean, simple, and healthy ingredients.
