Found a new favorite coffee shop. I finally got to try this spot. Whenever I wanted to stop and try it, it was closed. The entire menu looks delicious and I cannot wait to try each drink and determine which ones are my top favorites. For the first time I tried an Iced Ube Cream coffee with lavender. He put in the right amount of lavender so it didn't take over all the other flavors but gave it a nice subtle hint of floral. The prices are reasonable and my drink was made pretty quickly. I definitely will be coming back here for sure. read more

This was our first coffee stop while being in Kauai! I wasn't sure what I was in the mood for but ended up ordering the Salty Wahine. It took a little bit to get our drinks, but there was only one person working and there were others waiting for their drinks as well. We weren't in a hurry so we relaxed at the picnic tables while our drinks came out. My drink was delicious and everything I wanted! The coffee truck is located in an area where there's a few food trucks and picnic tables for people to eat at. This is the best coffee I found on the island. We tried several places and this is the only one we returned to. We tried the ube sweet latte, hola honey latte, dakine cold brew and the Mac nut cold brew. The drinks are on the sweeter side, after the first time I got the ube latte half sweet. It was still very sweet. None of the other drinks are as sweet, but definitely on the sweeter side. The drinks are very unique and have a lot of love put into their crafting. We love to try different coffee spots anywhere we go. Believe us when we say this was the BEST coffee spot on Kauai. The service was awesome and she gave us great recommendations on which coffee we might like better. I tried the Ube Sweet Cream and added coconut and my husband got the Holey Honey Girl made with local honey. Both were sooo good you couldn't go wrong with either. We tried all the popular spots people like to go to in Kauai (Java Kai, Wishing Well, Jammin Banana, & Sunrise Coffee) nothing came close to how good this one was! I wish we found this spot sooner and we'll definitely make this our last stop before leaving the island. What initially drew me to this spot was that they offered an Uber Sweet Cream latte that included Ube drizzle and Ube flavored whip. The barista, who I believe was the owner, was incredibly helpful and patient as I decided on my order. This is a really fun spot to grab some coffee/tea in the morning. They have a bunch of cool speciality drinks with interesting names like the real housewife and the e-bomb. They also have a bunch of syrups and milk alternatives available to customize your drink. The employee working on the truck was very warm and walked us through the menu offerings. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to capture photos of everything we ordered, but in terms of food, we tried the yolo bites, which were granola balls with various fruits and nuts. They were a good snack to eat on the go. My friend also tried a carrot muffin, which she very much enjoyed. All the coffee and tea options were of high quality. The Da Kine, which is cold brew with sweet coconut cream, was incredible. Had it twice while in Kapa'a and will now try to make it myself when I go back home. Garden Island Coffee is a coffee truck in what I would call a food truck yard. Lots of tables to sit at if you want to stay and enjoy. As far as coffee trucks go, this one is as good as it gets! Conveniently located right off the highway with friendly staff and plenty of options for all. Picnic tables with umbrellas are available if you want to chill. Loved the local syrup options and ended up getting an iced ube sweet cream latte. I wasn't sure how well ube would pair with espresso flavor, but thought what the heck I'll give it a try.
