Talk about a total experience! From the moment you walk up it feels like you're stepping into another world. The decorations and ambiance are exactly as I would expect, with a great hall ceiling in the dining area, and moving pictures. I especially loved the flooring looking like lava cracking through because at some point a staging flys overhead and sprays fire. Ambiance is a 5/5. We were seated immediately, waters brought out, and the waitress ready to serve us. She was very helpful and even offered to charge my phone so I could finish taking pictures and going live on social media. My cup was never empty, and everyone was quick with any questions we asked. Service was almost perfect 4.7/5. My cousin and I ordered the Love Potion, Unicorn blood, golden arancini, dragons breath, and a couple of wands . The wands were so much fun, though it feels like they're worth closer to $10 than $20, it still is worth enhancing your experience by getting one. The love potion was so sweet and strong 4.6/5. The unicorn blood was not what I expected, but it was shimmery and it grew on me, but still a 3.5/5. The Golden Snitches were very very rich, but perfect if you're drinking a lot and eating a little, very crispy outside and cheesy inside, and the tomato sauce was salty and savory 4.2/5. The dragons breath is super fun because you get a little nitrogen to freeze it and make it smoke. Regular flavor but effect was cool 3.5/5. Overall, I rate wizards and wands 4.2/5! Servers are nice and attentive, although my date did complain to me that our server reeked of cigarettes. Interesting drinks options, like one that is close to being butter beer, with seasonal ones for the holidays. The food tasted like microwaved snacks you get at the Costco freezer section, so it's really just about the atmosphere if you're a HP fan. Honestly, the tables were a bit dirty and the floors were sticky. The first thing I realized was that this isn't an official Harry Potter establishment - some intellectual property barriers force them to post generic pictures of wizards and people who sort of look like HP characters, a bunch of floating candles and flying dragons on the huge LED ceiling screen, although they do make a reference to the Ministry of Magic in the washrooms. Anyways, the food is the clear star of the show.... Mandrake Flower Pot Hummus Butternut squash, chick peas, paprika with veggie crudite - enough to whet the appetite of four muggles. There's plenty of hummus in a long coffee cup container. Deviled Dragon Eggs Four half-eggs, with different color dyes... a little like a high school project, but not bad either. The yolk is green because they've made it guacamole, with pickled jalapeno (they probably need more), and cilantro. Golden Arancini A play on the golden snitch - cirspy, parmesan dusted rice balls with house tomato sauce. Sorta like mac n cheese balls, except with rice - well crisped on the outer shell... quite yummy! Sorcerer's Salad Little gem, cabbage, mint, cilantro, furikake, avocado, and sesame dressing. Like the Arancini, it's mouthwatering, and a guiltless treat... easy to share and well portioned.. Great Hall Feast Hand cut ribeye, chargrilled broccolini, duchess potatoes. A little reminiscient of those rennaisance fair events, but delicious - they actually prepared it medium rare. Broccolini okay and mashed potatoes meh. Fireside Pot Pie Impressive presentation with the domed baked top, but the inside was more like a chicken chowder - very watery, and difficult to share. Flavors are there, however. Shepherd's Pie Ground beef, pork blend, farm vegetables, whipped potatoes, baked then topeed with crisped curled potatoes and garlic. Mouthwatering! It's served in a wide bowl, so it was a few minutes before we realized what it was. This one was my favorite! We also had the Creme Incendio and Florean's Ice Cream Sandwich - both excellent! I was throwing suggestions to my sister on things we can do when I visit, a lot of things were shut down lol but this one was a winner. Boy being a native, I don't remember some of these steep steep hills lol. It was the cutest little wizards place, but we almost didn't see it. Upon walking in, and being used to drag day brunch events and buying tickets at first I was thrown off by how quiet it was in there. I checked with the waitress and inquired on if today was indeed the ticketed event and I was assured that was correct. Thankfully we found a good spot. Every wall and ceiling there was literally something magical to check out. The ceiling had a dragon that breathed fire and the paintings on the wall moved as you moved. With our tickets we had our drinks covered. I ordered a banana baby and my sister ordered the Unicorn blood. She wasn't crazy about her drink but I loved mine. For food we both ordered the huevos rancheros which we both enjoyed and a plate of fries. Our waitress was a one woman show but boy did she move and stay on top of things. The show was awesome and the queens were fun and inviting to hang out and visit after the show. It was a great time and it looks like the drinks are switched up for the season. This place completely transforms as you walk in. Whisking you away from Lombard street to a fantasy space. Lights are doing a lot of the decorating here. Dark floors with orange light segments. Starry and galaxy ceilings. And uncanny valley looks like AI art along the walls that have some movement to them like the portraits in the wizarding world of harry potter. I guess moving portraits being magical may become a thing of the past. Your experience is also enhanced from various music options and dragons soaring overhead. They have a variety of cocktails to choose from. We opted for the wizards brew because it seemed the closest to butter beer. It is sweet like dessert and served on the rocks. It is quite good but not something I could drink two of. Not a cozy warm drink. We also tried some snack the fries and arancini. Definitely large portions meant to share. The food is aight. I would definitely recommend getting dinner elsewhere and just grabbing some bites here if you are feeling the munchies. Come here for the ambiance. For the muggles who are Harry Potter fans, this themed bar is the place for you! I've been meaning to try this place out and stumbled upon it when we saw a line outside of Westwood. The themeing is so on point inside! Some of their drinks are interactive which adds on to the themes. My friend thought the wands were available for show and borrow and got charged $20 for the wand xD I gotta say the night we went, bartender was pretty slow... it almost felt like he forgot our order bc it would take a while and when finished making drinks it was actually another groups order. The bartender wasn't super busy either. The drinks were hit or miss, espresso martini they had on the menu is probably premade bc I asked to change the liquor and he said I wouldn't be getting the one that's on the menu. Came here to support my sister, Cuntalina Teeseeee, the girls and I have to say WOW! The drag show was absolutely amazing and full of energy. From start to finish, it had the whole room dancing, clapping and screaming with joy. You can tell how much work goes into these performances and it truly shows. Came here for a girls' night because we were curious about the wizard theme. If you're into Harry Potter, it might be up your alley, but temper expectations. It would be fun if they leaned into it more, like with sorting hat moments, a house quiz, something interactive, but as is, the experience feels pretty minimal. Food was just okay. When you see "Liquid Nitrogen Hot Cheetos" listed as an appetizer, it should be a red flag. Fries: sidewinders dusted with Hot Cheetos seasoning. The Hot Cheeto seasoning wasn't listed on the menu and I wouldn't have ordered them had I known. Fries were okay, but not very crispy, and the seasoning was a miss. Sprout's Summer Salad: caprese-style with heirloom tomatoes, basil, and burrata, fresh and probably the best thing we ordered. Sorcerer's Salad: cabbage, mint, cilantro, avocado. Honestly tasted like a bagged Safeway salad with avocado added. Pretzels: $14 for three, which made them awkward to share. Service was mixed. Our first server (did not catch her name, but she had just moved here from Texas) was warm, welcoming, and great. Midway through, servers switched and the second was noticeably short and curt/ not very welcoming, and the vibe shifted. All cocktails are batched and can't be modified. We waited about 15-20 minutes just for them to be poured, which felt slow considering they're pre-made, and we were unable to make any changes. The ceiling does a dragon display every ~45 minutes, which was fun and honestly the highlight of the "wizard" experience. Overall, I wouldn't go back unless a friend really wanted to. Absolutely dumbfounded--for all the wrong reasons. Ripped off, gaslit, and nearly burned alive!!! Don't come here they're scammers! The establishment nearly went up in flames while we were attempting to finish our drinks, due to extreme incompetence. Someone had installed Christmas lights connected to a household extension cord outside, plugged into a standard home outlet--during peak storm season and one of the heaviest rain weeks we've had. The smell of burning rubber and smoke coming from the ceiling is something I still remember vividly. The female waitress was polite and helpful, but several male staff members made rude and disrespectful comments about me and my friend, including remarks about our drink orders and our knowledge of craft cocktails. The issue began when the first drink I purchased for my friend tasted overly sweet. While that alone would not have been an issue given the use of syrup, problems arose when I ordered a second drink and specifically asked for a double shot. Despite there being no rush or foot traffic, it took the staff approximately 10 minutes to prepare the drink. During that time, they were visibly arguing behind the bar and making comments about us. Before the second drink was completed or brought to us, I explicitly told them to cancel the order because I could already tell there was confusion and that the situation was being mishandled. Despite this, they proceeded to make the drink anyway and charged me for it. Naturally, if a double shot is ordered, one would expect either a stronger drink or a second drink containing alcohol. Instead, we were served a second drink that contained an extra shot of syrup--not alcohol. One active bartender confirmed this was intentional and claimed it was "normal" to receive a second shot of syrup when requesting a double shot. That explanation is both incorrect and insulting. For context, I am a former bar and restaurant owner, and my friend currently manages a sports bar. Despite our professional experience, the bartenders continued to gaslight us, insisting the drink contained additional alcohol when it clearly did not. After we expressed our dissatisfaction, they brought over a tall glass of vodka that we did not ask for. This shot was supposedly offered "for free," yet I was still charged for it. From the start, staff members also made comments questioning the validity of both our IDs and suggesting we looked too young. I strongly suspect they were hesitant to serve us alcohol at all, given that both drinks tasted overwhelmingly like sugar. This has happened to us before due to our appearance, but dismissing our complaints as "uneducated" is unacceptable--especially considering our industry backgrounds. Claiming that a "second shot" means additional syrup instead of alcohol is misleading and unprofessional. The way this situation was handled--from the drinks, to the charges, to the disrespect, and even the unsafe conditions--was unacceptable. Honestly I paid with a 100$ bill and I noticed the receipt now saying 70$ doesn't make sense. Celebrated my best friend's birthday here and the staff were so warm and accommodating. We did an entire murder mystery game and the ambiance perfectly fit the vibe we were going for. The restaurant was decorated so well for Christmas, with the entire ceiling towards the back projected with stars, dragons and more. What a magical place! Very fun SF bar! I somehow only recently learned that this Harry Potter themed bar existed, and it did not disappoint! I absolutely loved it. The magical inside and different references from the movies, and you really feel immersed in it. Between the starry sky and marauders map menu, there was a lot of thought put into the design. This was such a cute and fun spot in the Marina! We were in the area for the free F1 event and wanted to grab a drink, and I'm so glad we stumbled on this place. I do not call California's Bay Area home. In fact, I live in the opposite side of the Golden State- the South Bay, so I went to Wizards and Wands while on vacation. Weeks before my trip, I saw an IG reel that recommended this place. How does an SF restaurant show up in an Angeleno's IG real? I am sure there is a logical explanation- like I heart-blessed some SF eateries reals and thus this one showed up due to the hint to the algorithm. But, I rather believe that there is a magical ghost (like Myrtle) in the machine, who path-lighted this joint for me to enjoy one day. It is important to note that the IG reel described this place as a Harry Potter restaurant, but in reality it is Potter-coded. Meaning, that, only in my mind did I see Harry Potter connections, nothing in the place was actually Harry Potter endorsed. Honestly, this did not sully my enthusiasm, and i am only a casual Potter fan. This will hit a true Potter fan hard- like in the opposite way of the Avada Kedavra curse. My friend Denise and I went a few days after December 25th, and a few days before New Year's. Meaning, we were just able to walk-in. If we had gone in a previous day, the place would have been super packed cause of the festive glamour! What I did not expect, was for the place to be heavily decorated for Christmas, in a way that was immersive, beautiful, and elegant and yes Potter-esque. At one point, it did feel like we were in the Great Hall, sitting as Dumbledore awarded points, while candles floated above us, and future Death Eaters broke bread with Hufflepuff. I want to note, as my pictures show, that the work of transportation to Daigon Alley, was made possible by the decor and effort of the place, its decorations were not streamers in a gym, they were replete and thoughtful, they scored on purpose fulfilled. Inadvertently, Denise and I had lucked out as we visited during the lull that happens after the Christmas rush and before the New Year Eve's day's blast. This may be a cheat code that might be helpful for people who want to enjoy the Christmas decore without waiting in line or being part of huge crowd. One of the servers, I did not get her name, told me that she turned on something, and to look at the wall. I stood up to record. It was a digital dragon that felt true and cool. I caught a 19 second video that sees the dragon look directly at me, then look straight and then he/she/they shot fire. I was close to the act, I saw the night sky that mirrored space clouds, and I saw the fire disperse from a starting point of an awfully big fire ball. It all seemed so real, for a fraction of a second. It felt like I had witness a dragon show, in the Tri-Wizard Tournament. I imagine that in between trials there would be events to entertain the crowds, like in real festivals. here in the muggle world. Again, I can see how a true devourer of Harry Potter Lore would find this place there personal Eden. I ordered the magic beans, and when they came they were fire roasted with a torch on the spot. And this did not seem cheesy either, it felt engaging, and how peanuts would be roasted in a hard bar, like a Hell Angel's bar. And of course the Hell Angel's would be literal in this world, not bikers. Denise and I also shared the Shepard's Pie, the Golden Arincini, and the Warm Pretzel Wands. All the food was good, but nothing to describe in detail. Every bite, was solid, enjoyable but just solid version of what they are. Meaning do not expect to eat bites that will make you say wow, or re-imagine the taste of what is good, again, the food was strong and solid, which help sustain the entire experience. One of the arancini, also, had wings that made it a golden seeker. When I went to the bathroom the toilet also had a sign that said, "Ministry of Magic this Way" which was funny and bathroom humor is hard to make funny. Denise and I shared a couple of cocktails and shots. She had a dirty butterbeer and I had the Missletoe Espresso Martini that had a spell attached to it, which revealed itself after the server lit up a paper that burned neatly. The drink itself was good. On my way out, I also learned the appropriate way to pronounce mimosa. It is mimOsa not mimoSA, which is helpful to know. If you are a Potter fan go here, if you are just into experiences go here, I would strain myself to find a legitimate complain about this place. read more

Fun place for a "Potter" inspired evening. The drinks are fun. Some of the dishes we tried we a bit kitchhy but tasted good. The hummus was fun, served in a clay pot. The service was attentive, however the dragons breath hot Cheetos was a disappointment, the server just tossed the nitrogen filled bag on the table, not a very "immersive" experience. read more

I can't give enough props to this place! This was my 2nd time here and I came here thise time for my birthday. They went above and beyond when it came to service. There was a festival that weekend and parking was an absolute nightmare. I got there an hour early and barely made it on time. Unfortunately this meant all my friends were 30 minutes late. The drag queens were SO ACCOMODATING and waited until most of my party arrived before starting their performance. The food and drinks were excellent as always. The brekkie shots were ordered for everyone and everyone loved their cocktails. I even got little gifts for my birthday. I had a custom cake I ordered for my party and the place was kind enough to leave it in the kitchen and serve it to us!! I offered the rest of the cake to the staff and drag queens. I can't tell you how great the crowd work was with the drag queens and how much fun we all had. All of my friends raved about how amazing of an experience everyone had. The place itself has the cutest Harry Potter decorations. This place is quickly becoming a staple in my events! I can't wait to come back. What an awesome bar! If you are a Harry Potter fan, then this is the spot to visit for a hang with friends, delicious bites and drinks! So many photo ops as well. My favorite part was the HP themed music, and how clean this bar was! They had a hilarious sign at the front as well that said "wizards welcomed and muggles tolerated." They accept cash + all forms of card payments and parking is very limited outside. I do suggest you take a lift/uber/taxi etc so you get to enjoy awesome drinks while being safe! The drinks we tried were the wizards brew and Love potion. The wizards brew was a delicious take on the famous butterbeer in the films. It had brown butter washed rum, butterscotch, vanilla turbinado, house cream soda topped with vanilla whip cream! The butterscotch and rum flavors were strong but the vanilla whipped cream really tied the whole drink together. The love potion had tequila, hibiscus, mango, citrus, agave and the texture was frozen and layered. You could hardly taste the alcohol in this drink, because it tasted very refreshing overall. The servers were animated, kind and welcoming. You could tell they loved HP just as much! I highly recommend potter heads to visit the bar. It's so much fun! read more

We showed up on a Saturday at 11:30 am with no idea they had drag brunch at noon! It was a fun pleasant surprise. The place was so beautifully decorated. The lighted ceiling, the little decorative pieces and the themed menu all added to the most fun, memorable and magical aesthetic. The drinks were strong. 7/26/26: My husband and I see a lot of drag so know good from bad. These queens were good! There were three and each put on a high energy and funny performance. The host not only put on two solo lip sync performances , she also had a fun section with audience participation. The food was good. Is it high end? No. But we enjoyed everything we had. Can't remember exact names but the pretzels, irish breakfast, cheese pastry puff, deviled eggs, BLT, and s'mores French toast all get thumbs up from the 4 of us (we were with our teenage daughters). The service was excellent! There was only 1 server covering all the tables and yet she never kept us waiting or gave any sense of being overwhelmed (I'm sure she was! but it didn't show). I didn't even realize she'd been working solo until almost the end. And finally, the setting was fun. The decor wasn't as sword & sorcery heavy as I thought it would be but it was enough to set the tone and done well. The ceiling projection is a great touch. read more
