We stumbled into this place and very glad we did. Everything about this establishment, from the greeting at the desk to the end of the email was spectacular!! I would call the food mix of Indian but mostly American food. Everything we tasted was delivered as advertised, elegantly presented, and was delicious. We started out with the hummus and then we got a dish that was very similar to like a chicken satori and their Smashburger. My guest suggested that it was one of the best if not the best Smashburger he has tasted, and he was comparing it to a place that specializes in it down the street. The staff was very attentive and very fun. It's a little things that matter, and they took care of all of them. Service was superb! I'm not really sure how to described ambience but it was definitely more towards dimly lit and romantic. You could see several couple couples, enjoying a date. I saw nothing but smiles from other guests as well. Indigo is a gem that has yet to be found. Although I know there were guests there that had been there several times before. This is a place that is going to become very busy very soon and may be hard to get in, but I suspect that Kash, the owner and his wife will be just as pleasant as they were this evening. The owner of Indigo is passionate about this new restaurant and bar, and it shows. The design, lighting, ambiance, menu, cocktails, and ingredients are all thoughtful and high quality. Great restaurant! The cocktails were delicious (the Moscow Mule was fantastic and the alpaca drink was so unique) and the food was good (shoutout to the shrimp taco starter). I went here for brunch on a Saturday with a friend. It was a really nice day and they have a few outdoor seating options. The service and ambience are both really nice! The drinks were all AMAZING! Our food was OK. My friend got the huevos rancheros and she liked it enough. I got the special omelette which could've used more cheese and seasoning, and the homemade fries were mid. A husband and wife team took over Boho in the Marina about 10 months ago. The owner she is running the restaurant as our host and waitress and her husband is the chef. I was excited to try this place but not too sure if I'd come back. There was a wait time even though we had a reservation on a Saturday. The ambiance is really nice inside and at the bar. The menu is quite small and there's not many vegetarian options. All the food is also very pricey. I got what the servers recommended. The cuisine is all over the place and all the options seem kinda random. I was expecting to try the gobi Manchurian as seen on the online menu but it wasn't available. I got the salad item to start and it was okay. It had cottage cheese, squash, apple slices etc. I also got the cheese board, fries, spiced rice, and creamy spinach. The consistency of the spinach was too watery in my opinion. The cheese board had various cheeses and it came with naan as the bread which didn't go well with the cheeses and honey. Both drinks I tried were not very good either and had odd flavors. The smoking s'mores dessert was cool but I didn't love the mousse part of it. We had a fantastic meal and our server was excellent. There were a few hiccups that really detracted from our experience. We had a reservation, but were seated 10 minutes late at a makeshift table you expect when they're overbooked. Our server was amazing. She was insightful, humorous, and very attentive. Dinner itself was delicious, and we were very impressed with the food. After we closed our bill, the owner stopped by our table and we had a nice chat about our experience and the restaurant. During our exchange, he noted the drinks we were having. Five minutes later, he returned and told us that our drinks were not on our bill (which we had already paid), and we were asked to wait so they could bring us a second bill for the drinks. So, after we closed our tab and were ready to leave, we waited another 15 minutes for a second bill with the items that the restaurant missed. The drinks in question were ordered at the bar while waiting for our table, but we were seated before they were ready, and the drinks were brought to our table. At this price point, a faster ring-up or comping the missed item would've made it feel handled. The food was great, but the clunky and awkward moments when arriving and leaving are unfortunately the standouts from our dining experience. read more

Strap in because this one's going to take a sec. It might be hard for me to appropriately express how much in love with Indigo I am. But I'll try - here goes: My wife and I drive all day into the city and we are beat and she has a headache and we're starving to death. Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating a little bit, not to death. But we need food STAT. I go to my handy dandy Yelp and the first place I call - they're slammed and not very friendly and they don't have room for us for an hour and a half. No, that's not happening. The next place I call is Indigo. The man who picks up the phone is so sweet and tells me he has room for two and I immediately tell him that I'm in love with him. Then he tells me he'll be waiting to give us our seat because we're now in love. Adorable. It's literally across the street from our hotel. We walk in - it is lit perfectly. The bar is gorgeous and this beautiful, very pregnant woman who is also our server who, btw, we find out later is also the owner with her husband who happens to be the man I just fell in love with on the phone. I know! She invites us to pick any two top we want - we find one nestled against the wall. The chairs are ridiculously comfortable - also they're a light brownish yellowish and the cloth napkins are a chocolate brown and the different shades of brown with the indigo accents and the low lighting make it so comfy. The atmosphere is so appealing, which was exactly what we needed after sitting in San Francisco traffic for too, too long. We were immediately taken care of, orders taken, drinks delivered lightening fast - AND our still hot food came so fast - also I need to add that she brought the fries first. Who does that? That's ridiculous. She knew we had gotten off the road and we're starving and totally took care of us. We had fries, Caesar salads and smashburgers and everything was delicious. Perfection. The flavors - I can't even describe how flavorful everything was. The husband - remember the one I'm in love with? He's Indian and she's from Ohio - whatever that is - American? Hahaha... There's this perfect fusion between Indian and American gourmet fine dining yet casual yum. I know - I'm not a restaurant reviewer - bear with me. Come to find out that they've only owned the place for a year as I'm writing this. In this day and age of AI and conglomerates - I can't express how good it feels to be in a locally and family-owned restaurant. And more than that - later when we spoke with the husband, he told us just about the lengths he went to to find the bread and that the bread is from a baker down the street and it's brought to the restaurant every day at 5:00 p.m. Locally sourced. It's hard to express how happy this makes me. Overarching - everything was perfect. The atmosphere, the ambience, the service, the food, the comfort, the casual nature, with this family feel that is so rare nowadays. It was a heartwarming experience and that's why I'm writing this. Because I feel like this is rare and we need to support local businesses just like Indigo. Delicious food, family owned, food with flavors not blandness. Not something frozen or from a box. But something from local artisans. It's not just a restaurant, it's an experience. I can't recommend enough. PS. And it wasn't a zillion dollars. The garlic prawns came out and was disappointed with the portion , it was 4 small shrimp. The wings were tasty and the hot sauce that came with it was even better . Stopped here for HH recently on a thursday afternoon. We started with 2 margaritas and shared some wings and fries. It was pretty quiet at first but it got progressively busier and louder as it got later and closer to dinner time. HH prices are really good! The margs were good, appreciated that they were not sweet and tasted like they use real lime juice. Refreshing and a nice start Tequila lime wings were a little bland but they brought 2 delicious home made sauces that saved them. 1 was a mango habanero and the other was a berry habanero. Both were delicious and had a nice kick to add to the wings. Their fries were awesome. Great texture, flavor and were served hot. The owner came by and introduced himself and made sure we enjoyed everything. He also mentioned that everything is homemade and made to order with fresh ingredients which definitely came across in the food and drinks. To finish I had their espresso martini which is made with a Bob's donut soaked rum. Really tasty, fun and a unique take on it! Will definitely be back for HH and to try more items. Really cool new spot in the marina for food and drinks! Ordered the strachiatella for starter and the polenta and mushrooms as the main. Strachiatella is the filling of burrata, and so it's creamy and gooey texture tasted great with the olive oil and fig balsamic. I liked the polenta and mushrooms as well, in particular the chanterelles. Even if you don't have food, the drinks here are a standout. One of the coolest drinks on their menu is their version of an espresso martini - they soak donuts from Bob's donuts in their rum so it absorbs some of the chocolatey donut flavor and it really comes through in the drink which is a nice twist on the usual espresso martini. The night of the Yokai is a nice fruity drink with a fun presentation. The popping boba added a nice texture to the drink and went great with the overall fruity flavor without being excessively sweet. read more

Went here on Sunday for brunch! First the food was amazing! I got the meat you in the morning and it was delicious. Portions were good too. My friends got the fried chicken sandwich and it was a good size sandwich and she loved it. Her boyfriend got the grits and seafood and he loved it. Second how can you go wrong when there is happy hour all day and it's a good selection of beverage options. I mean 8 dollar aperol spritz is good for me and my friend and her boyfriend got margaritas. Atmosphere was great. My friends and I came here for a TGIF dinner and had a very mixed dining experience. We shared the ocean's bounty, chicken wings, arugula and pear salad, Kashmiri chicken skewers, steelhead trout al pastor, chocolate cheesecake and the gelato. The ocean's bounty was oysters with too much stuff (hamachi, ahi tuna, spicy tuna, uni sauce and spring onion) on top. It's really hard to taste all of the flavors and it ended up being a relatively incoherent taste. The chicken wings and Kashmiri chicken skewers were bland and definitely needed more seasoning. The arugula and pear salad was good and the steelhead trout al pastor was excellent. Both desserts (cheesecake and gelato) were also really good. Service was OK at first but got slow as the evening went on. The restaurant is really loud and it's hard to keep a conversation going. The price is good - this was around $65 per person. read more

Super cute place in a great location near bars and shops. Metered street parking but there is free street parking just 2 blocks away. Very kid friendly (small space though so may not be stroller friendly but could park it up front) and thoughtful details throughout. Bathroom had changing table for babies, hooks for purses/coats, and a table for larger items. Utensils have a bend in them so they don't touch the table, thus reducing spread of germs/food. Just really nice details. Great happy hour (Tues - Friday 5-6:30 pm) that includes food and drink. Our food was so great - the chicken wings, burger and the trout al pastor - and drinks yummy. Just a delightful experience, I wish I lived closer to be able to keep going back and trying out more on their menu! Restaurant looks very cool. The workers all seem very nice. However, I ordered my Smashburger to go when I got there. It wasn't ready yet. I knew immediately they were gonna rush it and I asked the guy to make sure it was cooked well done. He proceeded to tell me that it was a Smashburger and of course it would be cooked all the way through when I got home with my burger. It was rare. Super frustrating. What's more frustrating they did not have the ability on their website to specify well done. So, wasted meal for me. I'm sure it was good. My partner got the seasonal pumpkin drink that was DELICIOUS and again, deceptively strong so be warned that if you're a lightweight like me you might not get to try more than 1 drink in 1 visit. The food- delicious! After our excellent cocktails I got a little worried that the food would be underwhelming and I was so wrong. My favorite was the oyster sashimi creation, who knew that oysters would be even better with little bits of sashimi thrown in? Not me but now I'm obsessed. The berry spinach salad also rocked, nothing that creative but it was well executed and we basically licked the bowl. The steak had an excellent rub on it, though I was starting to slow down at this point. Comes with homemade chimichurri which I don't personally care for but my partner enjoyed. The corn though. The corn was sort of like deconstructed elote and it was SO GOOD I did eat more than my half share. Partner fortunately liked the fries better so we made a trade. Inside is an upscale modern ambiance. We came early and didn't need a reservation but as we left around 6:30 it was filling up, even on a weeknight. I came here for dinner with friends and this is a new neighborhood gem. The Santa Muerte cocktail with jalapeño-infused mezcal had a real kick and unique flavor profile. I got the Trout al pastor on a squid ink tortilla - the fish was cooked perfectly and the pineapple salsa gave it a nice contrast. My friend ordered the Smashburger which she thought was excellent and we shared a small chocolate cheesecake at the end - probably worth ordering one for each person if you're still hungry after main dishes. All of their cocktails are inspired by different regions of the world and the menu is an eclectic mix of new American, Italian, and Mexican inspired dishes. The cocktail menu has perhaps some of the broadest array of flavors, international influence, and composition you'll find without the associated stuffy drinking experience. We really appreciated the mini-game with the owner (who provided a personal touch with all service!!) guessing the country of influence for the cocktails we ordered (Japan, Portugal, Netherland, and Mexico)! The menu is broad, marrying the California local and seasonal mentality with an expansive menu choice of flavors and dishes similar to the cocktail list. We had flavors and dishes drawing on Coastal California, Classic American, and Mexican cuisine. Elevated trout al pastor and the wagyu smash-burgers are must haves!
