Just so people level set expectations, this is WAY different than the original. Gone are the meticulously crafted, SF-endeared beautiful gold holes of the past. What is there now frankly looks like it was shoveled together with $500 of Home Depot supplies in a weekend. There isn't any artistic charm and to me the place felt really cheap. Even the lounge felt cheap somehow. Like cruise ship vibes. There was also very little signage telling you what holes to go to and the staff didn't really give us instructions. Came in for a team outing of 13 people. Everything was smooth from booking to the end of our stay (do note that they are actually not open Mondays as it's a maintenance day). Sherrie and Eli helped us out when we came in and they were the most gracious hosts. We had food allergies on the team and they were able and happy to accommodate us which was awesome. I've never played mini-golf before and I went on a Friday afternoon and the place was empty. The staff was friendly and very welcoming. And so it was just the two of us and each station or a hole, I don't know the golf lingo, was very different from the next - super fun and cute. You play 18 holes and it should take about an hour; I think it took about 45 min for us just because there was nobody there and you have four different colors of balls that you could choose from and the music was good but not too loud. So you do downstairs nine holes and you go upstairs and play seven holes and then you go back downstairs to do the remaining two. Really fun mini golf place right in the heart of the Mission (lots of bars and food spots nearby). I heard this replaced Urban Putt so came with 3 friends on a Thursday evening and the vibes were great! We did the 9-hole course and it was fun seeing the creative use of props for each round. I've only been mini golfing a couple of times and only outdoors, so this was a fun and cute place. It wasn't too busy on the day we went and a lot of people were also enjoying cocktails after they finished playing. I would love to come back and experience the 18-hole course. A fun spot and full of photo ops. I went at opening on a week day when the kiddos were out of school so I'm not sure if that had any bearing on how easy it was to park (me thinks yes) just steps away. It wasn't busy when we arrived but was significantly more so when we finished, 18 holes later. It took the kiddos about 45 minutes to get through the whole course, which was leisurely with plenty of posing. The woman at the front desk was delightful as well as the restaurant/bar staff. Only Shirley Temples for us but looks like there are plenty of cute cocktails, many of which other folks posted. There's an elevator for folks who need it to get to the upper course but friends in wheelchairs will need a little help getting over the step at the entrance. read more

I went here with two of my friends and we had such an amazing time. As adults, we were very happy not to have to deal with children around when we went on a weeknight/evening. Even with some friends having zero hand eye coordination, dexterity, experience with any sports, or experience playing mini putt at all, they still managed to have such a good time. They actually were really good at it! The obstacles are so much fun and so creative. There wasn't a single hole where we weren't cracking up laughing, amazed at how cool and fun they were, not too challenging but still challenging for everyone at every experience level. Absolutely unique holes to play that you will want to play them over and over again. There were lots of small groups like us and no one was rushed or waiting. Everyone was polite and knew to skip past us if we were stuck on a hole and come back to it when we were done. Very easy going atmosphere. Lots of fun props and spots to take pictures together. There's a bar with some really delicious food that we enjoyed. There's cocktails available with some extremely fun and unique Holey Moley signature drinks. We tried quite a few and they were delicious and fun. What we liked about it was that we could bring our drinks with us as we putted. There's a spot to place your drink at every hole which is incredibly helpful. I have to give a shoutout to the staff as well. All of them were very helpful, very friendly, and very funny. They helped make the experience a playful and fun experience all while being very fast and efficient in helping us with any of our needs. I recommend it to anyone wanting a unique and fun mini putt experience. Perfect for everyone of every skill level: kids, groups of adults, and would make a really amazing spot to go on a date. Love this place. The best mini golf experience I've had in a long time and this is coming from someone who grew up in the 80s. Back then, that was basically all you had: Arcades and mini golf. Maybe laser tag if you were lucky. I digress. Compared to some of the other mini golf courses in the city, this feels a lot more complete and well thought out. The holes are fun and colorful, with tons of details and fun twists. The place is well decorated and has a nice, colorful aesthetic without being too overwhelming on the senses. Overall, I think it is a definite improvement from its previous incarnation, Urban Putt. We didn't order any food, but it did smell and look good. We ordered drinks while we golfed and they were easy to order and brought to us quickly. We went on Saturday during the day and there was a great family vibe to the joint. There were scattered couples on dates as well, which made me happy to see - but I suspect I would see a lot more of that if I went after 8 PM, when kids are no longer allowed. Last thing I'll mention is the service. I've been in the city for a long time and as far as I can remember, friendly service has never been considered an important virtue of small businesses. I'm sure in most cases there's great reasons for that (I know SF has traditionally not made it easy for small business and there's a lot of stresses involved). We tend to not expect personable and friendly service. Maybe we even feel suspicious when we see it. Either way, it was nice to see earnest smiles on the faces of people working there. Peter in particular who served us our drinks and the guy working the bar (whose name I didn't get) stood out but everyone there seemed intent on creating a good vibe. They said we could do the nine holes upstairs or downstairs and we chose downstairs. It was really fun! Was able to reserve a couple hours ahead and got there a little early cause there's no parking lot and wasn't sure if we would get lucky with street parking. And was able to check in and started earlier than our time. Got to choose our color of ball, grabbed a putter and we were off. We chose the 9-hole course that started upstairs upon the recommendation of the host that checked us in. And it didnt disappoint. There's 2 courses, one on the main floor and one upstairs and while the space isn't large, each station is themed and it's fun to go through each one. The check-in process was very smooth and we were able to get our clubs easily but the place filled up fairly quickly afterwards. We started downstairs and made our way upstairs - we did all 18 holes (9 upstairs and 9 downstairs) and the mini golf courses were all so unique and creative! There's honestly so many photo-ops with the mini golf courses as backdrops (as well as actual photo-op backdrops) but we didn't want to hold up the line :') I especially liked the cash/money grab booth because it was hectic haha... The entire place just gives me old school vintage vibes - love it! Afterwards, we went to the food area for some food and drinks! I liked that there were games at each table (either Connect 4 or Jenga)! The area reminded me of an old school ice cream parlor - super cute! We got the Korean BBQ fried wings (it also comes with some celery, carrots, ranch and EXCUSE ME, IN A MINI SHOPPING CART). It took me a lot of self control to not take that shopping cart home with me.. But I was pleasantly surprised by how good the wings were! Like you can tell the wings tasted homemade and it was quite juicy and not dry at all! For drinks, we ordered a Rub A Dub in The Tub and I honestly didn't even care what was in it and just ordered it because I am a sucker for food/ drinks with a good presentation!
