Had a previous OK experience here thought what the hell I'll go for a 1L stein of beer. Hostess seemed new, no service training. Got seated and asked for the heater to be turned on. She said she will ask the server. We sat in the cold for 15 minutes before leaving. No server ever came despite seeing them walk around aimlessly. Ended up going to Humble Sea, where the service was fantastic and still got my 1L stein. Support a local brewery instead and feel appreciated as a customer. read more

Thank goodness we had the pretzel, because my wife's lunch wasn't served until I had finished my lunch and we had to inquire about her order twice. The pretzel French toast was incredible it was soaked in warm cinnamon sweetness, and somehow the bread stayed crunchy even after sitting in a takeout box! You can skip the chicken sandwich. It was honestly the saddest, driest sandwich I've had in a while. The chicken patty was thin and bland, with just a tiny dollop of horseradish sauce on a pile of raw red cabbage. The bun-to-meat ratio was way off, and at $25 it felt especially painful. I wouldn't order it again even if it were free. read more

I'll say this .. the wheat beer was absolutely outstanding. The sauerkraut and mashed potatoes were perfect as well. I love love love radhaus. Every time I bring friends they're always blown away if it's their first time. Recently my friend and I started a cycle social club--we've hosted 4 and this is an awesome post workout spot. We come ravenous, they're always incredibly accommodating, quick and Jesus in particular with the cool shades sends this over the top. Courteous, accurate and cool. Also, for the brunch menu (this part was new) the French toast was soooo good. I love gettin a little of everything and it all hits. There are a few tables outside and it's a nice and serene vibe. I didnt think I wohld like this place at all and ive never had german food ever. I got the bratwurst and it came with sauerkraut with peices of meat. Also with mashed potatos and mustard. This combo blew me away! It was so tasty and the bratwurst was so juicy and crunchy. The potatoes went really good with it and the mustard. The gravy was a little sweet which I liked and the sauerkraut had a good kick to it. Everything just worked really well together. My total was 23 for a plate which isnt bad at all. We went on a sunday around 1 right after the craft fair so it was a 20-30 minute wait. We sat by the bar with no wait needed which was nice. Waiter was really nice but took a while to get the check. The pretzel starter was excellent but shockingly small: this is not the typical pretzel served in Germany or other German spots in SF. It is fresh and hot, but the size and shape of a bagel. The brats are good, but the highlight was the delicious gravy served on the mashed potatoes. Radhaus really exceeded my expectations! We visited on a Saturday evening, and got seated right away as a party of 8. The interior was spacious, with high ceilings and huge windows. We sat at a long picnic table inside, which wasn't very comfortable but got the job done. I'm not much of a beer drinker, and was excited the see there was cocktail AND mocktail section on the menu. I chose the Die Zitronenbeere mocktail, which was super tasty and refreshing. The food menu was also unexpectedly varied, and everything we tried was great. The Oysters were fresh and buttery, and my friend loved the Haus Special Pickled & Deviled Eggs. Came in before a concert and asked to look at the to go menu. Was pointed or waved over to the bartender and it was very hard to get his attention to get a menu. Ordered fries and pretzel. Total was 35 including the tip. Meal was fast coming out. I never was asked for a drink or even water although I sat at the bar waiting. Once I opened the bag however the aioli for the fries was missing and instead I received plain ketchup. I was too far at that point to turn around. I don't think what I ordered was worth the value and I only tipped because I couldn't figure out how to reduce the tip without doing math. Was 20% but I wanted to do 15%. Surprised by the quality of the food they serve here, and the beer was good too. Our party made a reservation for a Saturday afternoon and were seated promptly. It's a bit noisy inside but nothing you don't expect from a big dining room. Lots of natural light come through the windows as you're at Fort Mason. There are paid parking lots around the area, but it can be quite pricy ($6-$12 for 1-2 hours on a weekend). Service was good, but they forgot 3 of our orders and we had to chase them on it. We eventually got it, but maybe halfway through our meal. The potato pancakes and French toast were great. The potatoes were thick and crispy, and you can add salmon or a single fried egg to it. The French toast was super crispy on the outside but still fluffy and chewy on the inside. For the beer, I got the dunkel and tap 7. Such a lovely find! Gotta credit my wife for finding this gem in the Marina District. We were looking for a place where I could get a couple of drinks before we headed to dinner at a different restaurant. Radhaus is this German-inspired gastropub that has a very beer-hall-like vibe, lovely views of the bay, some interesting food options, and a great collection of beers and cocktails. We tried their Brussels sprouts, a side of the bratwurst, and a couple of beers. The service was very warm and prompt. The whole place gives this amazing friendly vibe. The Brussels sprouts were well cooked and seasoned, the bratwurst was delicious, and the beers were crisp and refreshing. The server even got me a couple of tasters before I decided which one to order, which was nice. These days, some places charge for tasters or samplers, which sucks. Anyway, we had a great time, and I am sure we'll return. We were in the area for the Sip and Shop event and saw this place was packed. We had dinner plans but upon checking the menu, we decided to get the mussels steam in beer to try. We sat outside since the host said they had a table ready. Inside,the restaurant was quite spacious, but it was very packed so it was loud, kinda like a mess hall vibe. The mussels came out hot with 2 small slices of toast. The flavors were good but the portion size was small for the price. Most of the mussels were fine but I encountered 2 that were not fresh. It's right near Fort Mason so you'd probably get a great view of the bridge. Great service and also super fast! We got our food very shortly after ordering. The menu has a good variety -- I tried the fish sandwich and it was very lemon-forward, almost a little sweet. It was also huge and quite filling. Portions were super generous; I asked for a side of mashed potatoes instead of fries and the bowl was huge! I also really liked their a(pear)tif cocktail -- it was a good mix of sweet and sour. The beer can be expensive, but I love the vibe of this place and the variety it has. I haven't tried too much of the food here, but the items that I have had are good! This is a great spot to come with friends just to catch up and have a good time. Note that the inside can be quite loud sometimes though depending on if there's a DJ playing, so the outside is a good option unless it's cold. But our food took forever and was not correct (the bus/runner did get my food corrected quickly).
