After my car was totaled and the other driver's insurance did the bare minimum, I was stuck. AAA Asheville recommended Rickman's, and I'm so thankful they did. The damage to my car was almost as much as I paid for it, and insurance barely lifted a finger. But Jessica and Daniel worked incredibly hard to get the cost way down--at their own expense and time spent--just to help me get back on the road. When I couldn't pay right away, they didn't pressure me. In fact, they offered to cover a large part of the cost themselves! We had two cars at Moss at the same time several years ago before it was sold to the current owner…read more First our SUV was hit in the rear, and although there was no damage to the bumper cover (other than a small scratch which we covered with a decal) the hatch was damaged and the hatch's window was broken. We took it to Moss right away, and even though we were not yet customers, they placed the clear self-stick sheet over the hatch where the window was, to seal it up. When we took it in to replace the hatch, the folks at Moss were easy to work with and the job was well done. The tri color pearlesant white paint was matched perfectly, and they took care of every issue. I think Dennis was the tech and he really takes pride in his workmanship. A few weeks later, our other SUV was hit and we took it to Moss. The tech was also Dennis? And he was great to work with, as were all the other Moss folks. The paint job is perfect and I have no complaints. I have learned that Moss is now owned by a large company which owns many collision shops, and we can only hope that they employ the same quality folks who care about dealing with customers and doing an exceptional job on repairing cars.

I was…read moreinvolved in a hit and run and I took my vehicle there to get an estimate trying to not involve Insurance and the estimator, Doug, stopped the estimate at $7500 and told me the vehicle was totaled out they don't work on totals and recommended I file a claim with my insurance company. I filed a claim with my insurance company and they quoted me significantly less... $1300 after multiple phone calls trying to figure out what the heck the differences were I was told to bring the vehicle back in and the difference would then go to the insurance company, and if the vehicle was still totaled out, the insurance company would guide me on what to do and I would be able to take the vehicle back without being forced to repair it. The insurance company told me I could decline repairs! So I do that. I tell them at the drop off that I want the vehicle back and it does not have to be repaired, and I was then given an update after hours several days later that the vehicle was being repaired and not totaled out that the estimator gave me a different estimate saying that it had to be repaired and they technician did not think replacement was necessary. I never ever ever would've filed an insurance claim had this been the case because now I am not only out of pocket my deductible. I never the manager, Wes, to stop the repairs and give me my car back. He said I signed a paper saying it was to be repaired. My fault as I didn't read all of the fine lines and simply TRUSTED Doug and the business. I am out of pocket for multiple weeks rental since it was a hit-and-run rental reimbursement was not covered and the manager, Wes, continued to try and make me feel as if I was crazy. He told me that I was changing my story each time because I did not tell him from the beginning I couldn't afford the deductible where my personal finances didn't need to be discussed. Nor should that have mattered. I asked for him to speak with the estimator and get back with me and he never got back with me admitted that he didn't get back with me and then when I asked if he was willing to meet me halfway and take $250 off for the deductible, he insulted me by saying why would he do something like that because I signed a piece of paper even though he 100% knows that HIS estimator misquoted me. Wes was not willing to help the customer. He was willing to defend Doug the estimator who admitted he told me to file the insurance claim because the vehicle was going to be totaled out. Worst customer experience of my life. Spread the word these are not local people trying to help locals in this economy. They don't care about you at all.
