Today I took my watch to Brent Miller in Lancaster they have a sterling reputation. Their watchmaker opened up my watch they said it looks like it never been serviced the inside was dirty and is both gaining and losing time and the gasket which is supposed to be replaced so it remains waterproof was the original gasket that was in the watch and never been replaced. I cannot say enough negative things about Leitzel's Jewelry, they completely screwed me and had me pay a couple of hundred bucks for either shoddy work and lied and didn't do the work. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy!

I have had costume jewelry resized before and paid about $75.00. According to the young lady working there they would have to charge us the price as if the diamonds are real! What the heck does the diamonds have to do with the metal? She said return the set and get a smaller size! If I wanted to do that I wouldn't be in your store! I'm not even sure what size I now wear! Honestly, we found the owners to be extremely nice and accommodating; no issues at all. As an antique mall it's fantastic...with case after case of interesting stuff. The layout sort of draws you from one area to the other, and there's always something really cool right around the corner. Not sure why someone complained that the place is cluttered; we didn't find that to be the case at all. In fact, it sort of feel like you're walking through a small museum. Cases are well lit, most are organized, and we found the prices to be fair. We found several pieces to add to our collections. A major plus is the fact that they're open late on Friday, Saturday and Sundays; all the other antique places in the area closed at 5. Overall, we really loved the place, and look forward to a return trip.

I then used LW&J to clean and service a rare and vintage Seiko watch. They did a great job. After this I designed a custom pocket watch to wristwatch conversion. I purchased all the parts myself, but there was some tedious custom work that needed to be done, as well as regular service. The price was fair, and the work was done well. I intend to have them create another custom watch for me in the near future. The staff has always been friendly and attentive. I will continue to use them to service my watch collection. They also have a great selection of watches from several manufacturers. I always find at least three of four other items I'd love to buy.

The clock has never functioned correctly since. unable to wind more than a turn or 2 at best. and then it would stop after a very short period of time (just a few hours) this is an 8 day clock. after a few years of not knowing what to do or who to get to work on it I was able to local another clockmaker. He was more than willing to fix it. I have now been informed that the clock only had oil sprayed on everything and nothing else was done. I was sent pictures of the oil just smeared all over the gears. it is totally disgusting. for what I paid to have this work done I was totally ripped off. If I could put a minus score I would. I would never recommend this business to anyone. if you value your time piece please find another clock maker to do the work.
