    Orange chicken combo

I became a customer of this place and I really liked the food. Ever since I discovered this restaurant, I've tried all the different meats over time, and in the end I always stuck with the orange chicken. Every time I go, I order 2 combo plates for me and my partner. But the last 2 times we went, the orange chicken barely had any meat in it -- it was mostly just battered flour coated in sweet sauce. That's not fair because half of what they serve is just breading, flour, sweetness, and a lot of sugary liquid. I don't know what's going on with the cook, but this is the second time they've served us food like this. My partner wanted to ask for a refund, but I decided I'd rather just never go back again because we ended up throwing away both plates. I wasted my money and my time waiting. I recommend customers pay attention to what they're eating because you shouldn't be eating flour and sweet sauce thinking it's orange chicken. And I don't recommend the other meats either -- they're mostly broth and vegetables. Now I understand why the food there is cheap: they barely serve any actual meat, it's mostly breading and sweet sauce.

I cannot praise this business enough. I go so much, the owner already knows what I want. I stumbled across this place when I first moved to Clovis. The prices are UNBELIEVABLE! Your food is made to order so you can customize everything. There are only two workers (husband and wife) so give them time. This isn't Panda Express. They do close everyday (I think it's 2:00 - 4:30). They do not answer the phone due to the high volume of customers. The line can be almost out the door if you come as soon as they reopen or anywhere near 5pm. It's small so you cannot dine in. What I like is you can see everything them cooking your meal fresh to order. I have a very small family and IMO, one place feeds 3 of us. I am NOT one about quantity, but I weighed my plate out of curiosity last time. It was over 3 lbs! BTW, I love their chow mein. I ask for extra cabbage and onion. Juicy and flavorful. Other suggestions are: orange chicken, teriyaki chicken, Mongolian beef, à la carte BBQ pork fried rice (extra green onion), egg rolls and chicken wings. To me it's with the wait to have fresh customized food at EXTREMELY economy friendly prices. I always tip. One of my favorite spots!

Was craving Chinese Food for dinner and my husband and I wanted to try a place we haven't tried and stumbled upon this place. I tried calling twice to place a to-go order however no one was answering so I took a 15min drive. Upon arrival I noticed about 6 ppl waiting on their orders. There was a person infront of me and we both waited about 10mins for someone to take our order. There was only 3 ppl working decided to wait to see what all the hype was about. I ordered 2 combos. Comes with rice, pork fried rice and/or chow mein with 2 sides for $9.99 each. I wanted fried rice but the lady who took my order said they were all out and offered me white rice. I just said all chow mein is fine. The sides: orange chicken, broccoli, beef, kung pao chicken and kung pao shrimp. Okay so if you're looking for something fast this place is not it. I waited 30mins for my food. They don't have a dinning in option. I was a bit disappointed because after about 25mins of waiting a customer ordered fried rice and they sold it to him... strange all of a sudden it was available. Anyways, after the long wait totaling 40mins and a 15 min drive back home the food was still warm and these containers were HEAVY! There was a mountain of chow mein per serving the orange chicken isn't orange it's red I was told it was spicy but I tasted no spice it's sweet, crunchy and absolutely delicious. The chow mein had so much flavors. The broccoli beef was yum, meat was tender. The kung pao chicken and shrimp were really spicy but it was tasty. Overall the food is really good! The restaurant was warm inside not the cleanest, seems like they've been there a while but food is made to order and the portions are enormous for the price. You really can't find a place like this that serves these portions for the price. I would say one combo plate would feed 2ppl. I would return, would definitely try to do a phone order or go in-between meal time hours. Hoping that would alleviate long wait times.

Thai Spicy Chicken over pan fried noodles

This place has been around since at least 2007, and it's still in business and popular with the local crowd as it was quite busy on Friday evening at 5:30pm. Yes, it's a hole-in-the-wall Chinese to-go restaurant, don't expect much in terms or ambiance--just focus on the food. Now about the food, you can get the dinner combo with two items, chow mein and fried rice, for $9.99. Now that's a great deal when we're talking about prices in 2025. But it's not just getting bang for your buck because we know that doesn't matter if the food is subpar. This place is worth it, if you know what you like. For me, it's orange chicken. IMO, this orange chicken is unique in its own way. For starters, it's red, not the typical "orange chicken color", think like a dark sweet and sour chicken color similar to that of the Chinese bbq pork. Also, the lady at the counter told me it was spicy, but to my palette, it was not spicy but rather mild/with no spice but that's just me (buldak noodles=spicy). Next defining attribute, it maintained a good crisp despite being sauced down. Third, and maybe most important, it had a good balanced flavor of sweet, tangy, not too "orangey" IYKYK. Also, worthy to note that it wasn't overly greasy and didn't taste oily. The fried rice was decent too, typical of to-go Chinese take out. It went well with the flavorful orange chicken. The Korean bbq beef was decent--it did not taste like actual Korean bbq meat, flavor profile was definitely different. The beef had that "velvet" beef texture, tender like the beef in the typical beef and broccoli. It had generous amount of onions in it. The chowmein was okay too. Not bad, not spectacular but complemented the meats well. Overall, after my 15+ year hiatus from this place, I'd return again.

    Combo for 9.99

You can't beat the price here for the portion and delicious food that you get. The combo for 9.99 is an amazing deal. You must trust this if your in the area and looking for great Chinese food. Stopped by and picked up a orange chicken and Mongolian beef combo with noodle. I also order an order of egg rolls and a coke and it all cost me less than $20 bucks . After placing our order, our food was out within 10 min. The food was of incredible quality, both the orange chicken and Mongolian beef were so flavorful and good! The noodles were ok, least favorite of my meal and would overall rate the meal a 8.5 out of 10. Egg rolls were incredible and the sweet and sour sauce was also a good side with it. Overall, I would defenitly come back again! Defenitly keep them in mind and check them out. Thank you Wok & Grill for the great dinner, till next time!

This place IS THE BEST!!! Authentic Chinese food!! Quick and easy service! TAKE-OUT ONLY!! The food is so good and the portions are amazing! The $10.99 plate is more than enough for 2 people!

I just tried Walk Asian Grill and let me tell you... it was delicious! I had the BBQ pork fried rice, chow mein, orange chicken, and teriyaki chicken -- and the flavors were on point. The best part? You get a huge plate for only $12.99. Definitely a bang for your buck, and it doesn't taste like Panda Express either . Chow mien, beef broccoli, Kung Pao Chicken

I'd give this place a 4.5. They give out good portions, the food tastes good. It was a long wait but understandable because there were only 2 people. I'd definitely come here again!

Great food if you haven't tried it you're missing out. It's very good. It's only takeout. They put pride in what they make good flavor orange chicken very good Mongolian beef. Very good. My wife loves the potstickers very good reasonable priced lotta food.

I forgot to take pics of the food but here is the fire burning wok! Lol

This place is a home in the wall and pretty good. It's not the best I've ever had, I wish the fried rice was fried on the wok. At least it didn't take like it. I had the broccoli beef, and orange chicken. I also had the egg flour soup. There is not place to sit and dine in. It's all to go. The staff is friendly but you do feel rushed. Overall a great place for quick Chinese food. Oh, the potions are huge.

Beef broccoli & Pan fried noodle

The prices are good but the food really isn't all that. The noodles had absolutely no flavor just tasted like plain noodles with no type of seasoning. I got pan fried but they're super soggy. My beef broccoli wasn't to bad but it was pretty dry. Also there was only 3 other people in there with me and I had to wait 30min to get the food but hey that means it's fresh right lol. Also heads up on maps it says closes at 8 but while i was there they put up the closed sign at 7.

Amazing food with incredible flavor! The prices were just right, and the hot mustard and chili sauce were absolutely on point--fair warning, the mustard packs a punch! It's a grab-and-go spot with no seating, but totally worth it. Thanks, Wok & Grill!

Food is amazing!!!!! Service, honestly was slow, HOWEVER, HOWEVER, there are only two people running the ENTIRE show. So, just be understanding if there is ever a wait. Literally just a counter for take out, no tables. The no tables is why I gave only 4 stars, but again, there's only two of them in there running absolutely everything. Also, the woman that was working was so so sweet and so funny. We definitely found a new spot for Chinese food! Plus the portions are out of this world for the price!

Our food was for pickup and everything was ready on time and piping hot. We ordered a lot because we weren't sure of the portion sizes, but they were massive so we had leftovers for days! We ordered steamed pork buns, orange chicken, crispy sweet and sour pork, beef and broccoli, low mein, and Yangzhou Fried Rice. Everything was delicious and loaded with flavor. The standouts were the yangzhou fried rice which comes with shrimp, chicken, and vegetables. Loved all the meat here and big chunks of veggies. We all loved the orange chicken and the crispy fried pork especially. I tried to get my kids to sample the steam pork buns, but they wouldn't, which just meant more for me! Pillowy soft and full of tender BBQ pork, they were my fave. Truly a hidden gem right in the heart of Clovis!

The pot sticker was probably one of the best I've had in town, The wrapper was not too thick, Silky, Slightly crispy, And the filling was light and delicious not heavy. The Foil wrapped chicken Was different than any other place in that it was lighter and not overburdened with a salty sauce. As far as the entrees, My crispy beef was amazing, So crispy, With a delicious sauce. My husband's Kung pao chicken was so tasty, Everything was fresh and the chicken was not dry. The only downside to our entrees was that they were listed as spicy, But I think you have to ask for really spicy if you look like you can't handle it or something I don't know it just wasn't spicy at all. But we will definitely return and maybe ask for real spicy next time LOL.

There is finally a reasonably priced Chinese take-out option in town that I actually like. The Mongolian Beef featured tender, flavorful slices of meat paired with crisp, plentiful vegetables. The sauce complemented the dish rather than overwhelming it, and it was not overly greasy. The Garlic Chicken was also good, coated in a savory, slightly sweet soy glaze. The meat was soft and perfectly cooked, again accompanied by fresh, crunchy vegetables. Many of the dishes here are authentically Cantonese-style: savory, built around fresh ingredients, lightly sauced, and never excessively oily. Portions are generous as well. This stands in stark contrast to many other Chinese take-out spots I have tried, where the food leans salty, oversauced, and made with cheaper ingredients -- and becomes practically inedible once it cools down. Judging by the simple décor and limited seating, it is clear this restaurant prioritizes cooking over ambiance. Most customers opt for take-out, which likely helps keep prices affordable. Service is warm and efficient. You are greeted as soon as you walk in, and staff members are ready with ordering help and suggestions. Most lunch plates are $10.25 and come with steamed rice or chow mein, or pork fried rice for an additional $2. Lunch plates are offered daily from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM, including weekends. The menu covers a broad range of Cantonese and Szechuan favorites -- Kung Pao Chicken, Walnut Shrimp, General Tao Chicken, Szechuan Beef, chow mein, chow fun, plus several soups and fried rice options. Combination plates start at $12.90, and the family specials (three dishes for $41) are a solid value. All in all, it is a great spot for anyone craving affordable, satisfying Chinese food -- especially students and anyone on a tight budget.
