Honestly not a great experience. I came in with some friends to meet up with my other friends. The ramen I had was mediocre. I've had better in Philadelphia. The worst thing was that for my friends at another table, they had huge issues with the staff and we overheard the staff talking about how rude they were. Because the staff we were associated with them, they came over to check our bill. They demanded us to give them a bigger tip even though we thought the tip seemed equal to the service they provided us. It's not right to demand customers to pay/tip more for something undeserved. read more

I went here on a Monday night with a friend a couple of weeks ago. We were looking for something else to do late at night when most places were closed. Wok and Roll's karaoke section stays open until 2:00 AM; it was probably about between 12:30-1:00 AM when we got there. We were informed that there is a $15 minimum to use the open karaoke section and the rooms were $75 per hour. I'm shy, but using the open area was fine with me since no one was there, so we ordered some drinks and appetizers while the employees set up the karaoke. After some time, they couldn't get the machine to work, so they compensated us a room without any additional charge! We had a great time, and the food and drinks were really good. I'm not sure what the place is like during its busier times, but I recommend it, especially if you are looking for entertainment when nothing else is open. read more

Best Asian food delivery in the city. I've only eaten inside once and that was many years ago. I've read that they have had many health inspection issues in the past, but many restaurants in that vicinity have too. I still love it it. When you want Chinese delivery after the other restaurants close down, this is your place. It won't be bad, it won't be good either. But, if you're ordering that late you also need to have realistic expectations. The noodle soups are watery and tasteless, most dishes are extra greasy and their sushi is barely edible. Went here for a fun night out however when we in the middle of our session, an employee came in and said our time was up. Apparently we showed up late even though our time was 9:30-11:30 NOT 8:30-10:30 which the restaurant had listed. This place needs to have online reservations for karaoke because it is so loud in the background when trying to make a reservation over the phone which is why they messed up our times. PLUS the employees didn't even try to make this situation better by discounting our time in the room since we only used half the time. Will suit your "I'm walking around Chinatown and I feel like eating Chinese fud, but I really don't want to go into someplace that has dead avian critters hanging in the window" kind of place. Sushi isn't bad. The Chinese is more "bought a bag of FP Chungs Meals for Two at the local Ginormous supermarket" rather than something close to what you expect for a Chinese joint in Chinatown. Eat here if you are wanting conventional. Go across the street, downstairs, and order something along the lines of octopus or, gulp, lamprey. You'll shit your colon out, but it'll be an experience. We recently spent a (very drunk) afternoon here after brunch to do karaoke. They get 5 stars for service! They let a group of us wail karaoke for about 4 hours and kept serving us drinks by the pitcher. All of the bartenders were extremely patient with us and put up with our antics, which is no easy feat. The only reason I took off a star is because their mimosa appeared to use powdered orange juice... drunk me did not really care, but in hindsight I would be less than pleased. I didn't try any food, but I wouldn't mind coming back here to try and will update when I do! read more

Worst service ever! I sat in here for lunch and ordered the lunch box with sushi and miso soup. My soup arrive on time and was good. That was the end of anything good. I sat about 30 minutes as I watched 3 other tables get served before me with food from the kitchen. Knowing that sushi is usually faster since there were two chefs I waved the waitress over and complained about not getting my food yet. She had the nerve to come back and ask me what I ordered. Come on she totally forgot to put my order in. I got my sushi and bill and left. I've never not tipped anyone, but that was definitely a reason to not tip. read more

This place is a find! Food was really good and very reasonably priced. We had the chow foon noodles with beef (thanks to Jun's terrific suggestion) with the yellow tail and wasabi and the tuna lovers roll. All were great and from looking around the restaurant seems like you cannot go wrong with whatever you order. They also have lunch specials and happy hour pricing. Two people well fed while sharing a large sapporo for under $41 bucks then they graciously accepted my restaurants.com certificate and a well priced meal became super cheap. Short version: don't go here for karaoke. We were treated horribly. Long version: I went for an evening of fun with six colleagues. After we got in the room (and already started paying), a woman came in rudely demanding to see everyone's bag. It was very uncomfortable. I had a completely sealed bottle of water that I carried with me in my work bag to take medication (I explained this). They confiscated this and the water bottles of my friends. They added an automatic 18% gratuity to everyone's individual food and drink. At the end, we learned for the first time that they applied an 18% gratuity to our room fee. What?!? We asked about it, and the manager, who identified himself as Nick Szu just smirked and said it was policy and they haven't been told they couldn't do it. After much back and forth about whether we were legally obligated to pay this "gratuity," Nick took the fee off. He was extremely rude and condescending. I asked who the owner is, and he smirked and said "I don't know." To make sure there was no confusion, I asked again. He laughed and again said "I don't know." (A friend later went down to the restaurant to ask, and he came rushing down saying "don't tell him!") Being treated like we were there to commit a crime, then being scammed, was offensive. The response to our concerns was unnerving. Aside from technical glitches (the lyrics not lining up with the music, for example), singing was fun. But I won't go here again because surely there are places you can go karaoke AND be treated with respect. It is a rip off. More than that, I fully intend to follow up with owner, the BBB, and anyone else who will listen because this is inexcusable. read more

Pork Chow Foon was deliciously smokey and had a ton of pork in it. The fried dumplings were likewise delicious. All in all a good dinner in a Chinatown area wrought with Chinese restaurants. Service was good if not great as there was just a take the order, deliver the order, bring the check approach. My check was explained/verified with me before paying which was an odd, but nice, touch. The place is in serious need of rehab and probably lined with mold behind the walls. The service started out decent, then a waterfall poured down from the ceiling onto our table from the rain. Looking at the ceiling there is apparent previous water damage that's been ignored. They kindly moved us to a karaoke room "free of charge", as if we'd pay for karaoke we didn't want or use. There were several other ceiling leaks to avoid as we moved to the other room. Should have just walked out from there, but we were hungry and short on time. The experience just went downhill from there. They brought our food orders up without any utensils, napkins, or water. We had to go out of our way to request these and still never got any water to drink. Considering that a stream of ceiling rainwater was filling up buckets on our first table, they didn't put much effort into rectifying the disgusting experience. Food was decent enough, so there's that. Typical tourist trap and will likely be closed soon because of the ignored water damage (i.e. mold) and cracking walls. read more

Nice digs...a scale up from some of the places in Chinatown. Reasonably priced and they have a bar. Who knew?! They do karaoke in there too. I had curry chicken and it was so good!
