    Teriyaki Noodles with chicken
    Paul H.

Arrived on a Saturday at 12:48. Surprisingly quiet, about 4 tables with 2 servers. It's unfortunately are young server was not attentive when we first sat down. Place was kind of dark, even though it was in the afternoon, the boot that we said, and looked a little worn and dirty. Think the place needs a little polishing up to continue. Took about 10 minutes to get two Diet Coke's.. That said, however, food quality was pretty good. Chicken in both dishes were cut very small and seemed a little overcooked.

This was my first time back to Wok n Fire since before the COVID shutdowns in 2020 - they revamped their menu and figured we'd give it a try since it's been so long. We sat at the bar to avoid long waits for a table and were able to sit instantly, our bartender was very friendly, it just took a while to get our food.! We had the garlic edamame to start off with which was delicious- the sauce was a great flavor on the edamame. For the entree - we had the curry noodle bowl with shrimp as the protein - absolutely delicious. They could definitely spice it up a bit more, but pretty filling and massive size bowl. I'd recommend a visit overall if you want an Asian fusion place for dinner, it's about as good as I remembered - probably 4 stars.

Food and Service were excellent!! Kudos to the waiter, Jay, for excellent service !!

Terrible service and food. We ordered a few rolls on special with no avocado and were told they could not do that. Then a few mins later said they could so we ordered them. It took 25 mins just to get our waters and the rolls came out after 1 hour and still had avocado on them. We didn't have time to wait for more since it had been 90 mins. They didn't offer to even discount our meal and actually over charged us. The rolls looked horrible and the spicy tuna was a paste, not fish. Gross. Will never go back

After a long absence me and my bud returned to Wok n Fire, and it is a good as it always was! Service was outstanding, the food delicious and tasty. What a great way to spend an afternoon with ya gal pals. April our server was top notched! I am vegan and April went above and beyond to ensure that I ordered nothing that would make me ill.

We don't come here often because it is a bit out of our way, but we really enjoy the food. The sushi here is excellent, but we haven't been eating much sushi lately so we have tried many of the entrees and they have always been great. Last night my wife split Kung Pao Chicken and Mongolian Beef with me, and both were great. My daughter had a bowl of Pho and she said the beef was her favorite anywhere. My son liked the calamari. My kids also ordered the homeade ginger ale with cranberry and it was delicious. My son asked me multiple times why the place was so fancy. It is nice. Lots of black and red with neat decorations. Our server last night was Ajay and he did a fantastic job. Very friendly and helpful and everything came out correct. Highly recommended.

If you can't tell already by the photos, this place is always in my rotation lol I have celebrated many birthdays, and holidays here. Was able to rent a private room for a party of 12 as well. It's beautifully decorated and many food options for anyone's diet. My top favorites would have to be the pad Thai and Thai red curry. Steak as my protein choice across the board. It's always tender. Most of my meals end with the banana fritter. Fried crispy banana drizzled in caramel sauce with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Dusted with cinnamon sugar to satisfy your sweet tooth. If you get the chance, ask for Ajay as your server! If it's your first time here, definitely request him! He will suggest you great drinks and narrow the menu down if you feel overwhelmed by it. Bonus, you can avoid the awkward question if he will take a picture of the family together. He's already on it! He's your whole package for an enjoyable dine out experience. They also have happy hour. Monday thru Friday 4pm to 6pm and Friday & Saturday 9pm to 10pm Bar & Patio only Check in for 10% off :)

For me a somewhat mixed experience which I'll explain more in depth, but still recommended overall. The restaurant has awesome decor where you're greeted by the status of a giant Buddha and very cool enormous decorations along the walls. The impressive design continues into the private rooms and even the restroom area, where you definitely feel like you're in a upscale business where you can also casually lounge around. The service is also friendly with knowledgeable staff that serve drinks quickly and can provide menu recommendations. Parking isn't too difficult most of the time here as the Arboretum has plenty of parking spots and this is conveniently located in the corner spot, easily accessible from many different directions. Prices are reasonable and in line with other similar restaurants in the area like Big Bowl or PF Changs. The food is fairly solid here, though there were are some things that prevent a full endorsement. The food took a considerable amount of time to be served on a weekday evening, probably over 30 minutes. This may be due to trying to fulfill takeout orders as well, though the dining room was not too full. With that said however, I liked the presentation overall on the different items I had, in particular the colorful sushi and pad thai. The meat/seafood portions were quite generous overall in the sushi, pad thai, sweet&spicy steak, and pho that the party ordered and the quality of the meat was quite good as well. The flavors overall were a little mild for Asian cuisine, though this is probably to be a bit more approachable for the Western palate, as nothing was overly spicy with familiar flavors and textures that were a bit more on the firmer side. Portion sizes were also quite large, with items that could be easily split into two meals. Overall, a fun place to hangout and enjoy an Asian inspired meal with cuisine that's a bit more elevated at reasonable prices.

My husband and I met some friends for dinner at Wok n Fire. This is a great spot for food and drinks. There is a large eating area inside and outside as well as space by the bar. I love the Buddha and other Asian decorations throughout the restaurant. Once we arrived, we were greeted quickly by our server. We ordered some drinks while we looked at the menu. I ordered the Vietnamese Pho Bowl, and my husband ordered the shrimp pad Thai and the sushi sampler. The pho was good, but it was missing the fragrant basil that I'm used to. It hit the spot because I hadn't had it in a while. The pad Thai was good and I enjoyed the sauce it was in. Both the pho and pad Thai had very generous amounts of meat in them. The fish in the sushi was cut very thick. Everything was very fresh. The only complaint I had was that the ticket time was unacceptably high. It took about thirty minutes to get our food once we ordered. There was a long line at the door waiting for online orders. I checked in on the Yelp app. There was a check-in bonus offered by the restaurant of 10% of the bill. Thanks, Yelp. I highly recommend Wok N Fire for great food. Just be prepared to wait for it.

    Incorrect Teriyaki Noodle GF

DINERS WITH ALLERGIES BEWARE I ordered from here on Door Dash tonight. They clearly have a gf menu and ordered gf for 3 out of the four people. The lids were all labeled gluten free but the noodles did not look right so I called. They in fact made it incorrectly with gluten filled egg noodles. They claim the rest of the items are gluten free. This is not the first time they have made things incorrectly during pick up, delivery and even dine in! They offered to remake it but I wouldn't have made it there before they closed as it's a 20 minute drive and door dash made me jump through hoops to get my money back.

When greeted, staff was rude. When seated and told we had to sit at the end of the table, even though we were the only ones in the restaurant. We did not sit there ,we moved to the middle of the table, so my daughter could enjoy the chef and the show they put on. Waiting about 7-10 mins,we still hadn't even been asked about drinks. At this point,my lady is very upset, and rightfully so. She said let's get up and leave ! I agreed, based on the experience so far,I had reason to stay a minute more. We got up and left, walked out the door, and will never return !!!! No wonder this place was empty when we got there, and still empty when we left. I hope a manager reach's out after reading this,so I can give him an earful of" you fucking idiots, treating costumers like this", I hope this place goals out of business, and will do everything I can to help that happen!!! After a long day outside, my kiddo asked to go to a teppanyaki restaurant (very niche request, but thank goodness for the Yelp app!) We were thrilled to be able to walk-in and the host was able to squeeze us in at the grill table (which was SO kind of her). We sat with some lovely families at the shared hot-top table and enjoyed our dinner immensely - the food was ok, the chef's presentation was good, and I don't think I have seen my kiddos eat so many veggies ever which may be due to the combo of those two. We got the full chef's presentation that you see at other hot top grill restaurants: spinning egg, onion volcano, tossing of the broccoli to the guests, my kids absolutely loved every second. The restaurant was clean and well run, the servers were attentive and kind, even when my youngest kiddo dropped her drink and it spilled on the floor. I couldn't have been more grateful for their kindness and hospitality: from getting us into the restaurant as a walk-in diner, their wonderful service during the meal, and the good dinner. Eating with 2 young kiddos is always a questionable experience as a parent but I have to say, I enjoyed the meal! If we are in Hoffman Estates, we will definitely go back!

The staff is friendly and attentive, the food comes out quickly, and the restaurant is consistently clean. One small detail I appreciate is that the water tastes great, which might sound strange, but I've noticed that some Asian restaurants have water with an off taste. I'm not very picky when it comes to sushi rolls, but some of my favorites here are the Spicy Salmon Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, Fire Dragon Roll, and Pretty Girl Roll. I clearly have a weakness for spicy rolls and anything with jalapeños! Generally, the ingredients always taste fresh, and the rolls are well-balanced with the perfect ratio of rice to fillings. I've also tried the gyoza, the cream cheese rangoons, and the fried scallops. All were delicious, although I personally prefer rangoons that include crab. I also wish both the gyoza and rangoons had a bit more filling inside. The scallops are AMAZING, though, and easily my favorite appetizer I've tried here. Overall, this is a great spot for fresh sushi, friendly service, and a great AYCE experience.

It is the classic set-up, where you pick a base (usually rice) and the protein (usually raw fish), and enhance the texture and flavor by directing the counter person to add various toppings and sauces. The counter person was very friendly, giving us plenty of time to make our choice. She was also generous with the toppings, and I'm pretty sure she would have customized it anyway we want. The prep area was very clean, tidy, and organized, with each bin fully stocked with the prescribed ingredients. There is only one size, with one large scoop of fish and rice being the base, and it's plenty. Some toppings are extra: if you get the basic with tuna and no extra-costing add-ons, it is $12. I ended up getting a predefined bowl called the Da Kine (Marinated tuna) for $13, and it was good: nice mix of flavors and made it simple. Some differences from previous poke places we've been: -- they offer a sushi rice option, taking the same hot white rice, and squirting a sushi (vinegar and sugar) mixture on top of it. In my case, it didn't really add much. -- they have a premarinated tuna option, along with the unmarinated. Some places are now letting you choose your sauce spice mix first, and then marinating your protein choice for you right there. It's a bit more work, but I think it does add something worth it. The marinated tuna that I had was fine, but definitely lacked the absolute 'wow' when eating just freshly cubed ahi tuna. It looks like the Poke Bros are THE place for Poke all around Chicagoland, and they have found a good place to source their ahi and salmon (hopefully) daily, as good as can be expected this far from the ocean.
