What an adorable place. This used to be Toom Toom Thai, glad another amazong place replaced it. Lots of cute decor. The food was really good and really good flavor. Lovely drinks. Amazing service. They do not offere an alcoholic beverages. FYI.

Service, ambiance, and food quality were great! Feels like a great mom and pop shop. Definitely a hidden gem. Would come here again

This restaurant was pretty good. They seem to mix Japanese, Thai, and Korean flavors which is very unique. The tonkotsu broth was good but I found it weak. I liked all the topping they added to. It makes the Udon taste better. This place is good if you're craving some unique Asian flavors. I probably would come back if I'm craving Udon again!

We tried this local place on a Friday evening. We were the only diners for a while. We tried many items. The Tom yum soup I added shrimp to and dialed down the spice to 3/5 instead of 4:5. It was delicious!! It is my new favorite location to order Tom yum soup. The cucumbers and pork gyoza were both very good. The chicken legs appetizer were crispy but I wanted some sirracha/spice on them. Our udon plates were also very good. We had Mongolian beef, and Hawaiian shrimp. I look forward to trying something new. Staff was friendly and promp. Bathroom clean. Prices are fair. I will return.

Tom Yum w/ udon noodles, stir fried veggies and tofu. (it was yum)

Let me just say, the tom yum broth, texture of the udon noodles, and amount of veggies gave was wonderful. And some staff were trying to be kind. It's just really unfortunate our waitress forgot about us during the "Nightmare on Chicago Street" event where we waited an hour until I finally asked and they said it was never put in... First they offered a dessert, but with this event going on we didn't want to waste any more time (we spent 2 hours which could've been soooo much shorter.) MULTIPLE PEOPLE ARRIVED, ATE, THEN LEFT. Instead as compensation, they offered 15% off which I feel isn't much at all. Considering we missed a lot of the 6-11 event going on :/ It would be different if we didn't spend 40$ to enjoy a fun festival and were short on time. So it Just really sucks.

Service and food was okay, but the prices are way too high for their quality. 6 bucks for small appetizers and 18 bucks for a bowl is crazy

We walked into a casual, cozy space with a smaller dining area that can feel busy during peak hours, but the atmosphere stays simple and focused on the food rather than a polished dining experience. The setup works well for a place centered around a warm bowl of noodles, where the attention stays on what is in the bowl rather than what is on the walls. The ramen is the main reason to visit, especially the signature Kitakata-style noodles. The noodles have a thicker, springy texture that gives each bowl a satisfying bite, and the broths are where the restaurant stands out. We tried the Spicy Miso Ramen, which brought a deeper, richer flavor with a noticeable kick, and the Green Chili Shio Ramen, which offered a lighter but still flavorful option with a cleaner broth profile. The balance between the noodles, broth, and toppings made the bowls feel thoughtfully put together rather than just another standard ramen option. The toppings were generous and the eggs were cooked well, adding a creamy richness that tied the bowl together. Beyond ramen, the sides are worth adding to the meal. We ordered the pan-fried gyoza, which came out with a crisp exterior and a juicy filling, making it one of the stronger starters to share. The karaage also added variety if you want something beyond noodles, with a crispy coating that held up without being greasy. The menu has enough options for different preferences, including vegetarian ramen choices that do not feel like an afterthought. Because of its popularity, waits can happen, especially during dinner hours and weekends. Joining the waitlist ahead of time is a good idea if you are planning around a specific schedule. The restaurant moves with a steady pace once seated, and the service generally matches the casual style of the space. The staff handle the flow efficiently, and even when the dining room is full, the pace of the meal stays comfortable without feeling rushed. Kitakata Ramen Ban Nai is a strong ramen destination for anyone looking for flavorful broths, well-textured noodles, and comforting Japanese dishes. The spicy ramen options and pan-fried gyoza are highlights, making it a place worth visiting when you want a satisfying bowl rather than just a quick noodle stop. The quality of the broth and the texture of the noodles make it a step above the average ramen spot, delivering a meal that feels complete and well considered.

But it just kind of slipped out of my consideration for no particular reason. But today I was driving near there, headed for somewhere else, and it hit me - Bento box sounds good today. And so it goes.. Parking in this small strip mall is usually pretty easy. It is a popular choice for lunch for many people that work in this business area of Elk Grove. I think that is because in addition to the good food, the service is not only friendly, but also very efficient. That allows you to have a nice sit-down lunch and still get back to work in time. They don't rush you, but you won't have to wait long for both the food and the check. Today I did have my delicious bento box, which as others have agreed, is a great deal for lunch. But I also splurged for a "Rock' n Rol" sushi roll, which was quite tasty. My waitress was wonderful - friendly and efficient as usual. But she didn't rush me personally. She even asked me if I wanted tea. In summary, it's an excellent choice for lunch. Good food, affordable, kind people, and a nice change from a fast food drive-thru.

If you're looking for the most authentic Japanese food outside the city, seems like this and a couple other places are all in the Schaumburg/Elk Grove Village area. Highly recommend hitting their lunch menu if you can because the bento box values are so worth it for authentic Japanese food/sushi. We got there at opening for dinner on a Saturday and got there just before dinner rush! This place is such a hidden authentic gem - you can tell from the decor to the choice of seating design to the actual menu and way they cook the RICE and other dishes. They serve the same grain for sushi as they do regular rice (Tamaki gold). Quality is not skipped here. We got the agedashi tofu (must get appetizer, as it's hard to really every achieve at home cooking), house special curry katsu, the beef kurumaya gozen (bento box) (which has incredible tempura, juicy soft beef), and assorted sashimi platter (I forget the name). All come highly recommended and were well worth the price point. I am just a bit sensitive about the freshness of the sushi, but I think this is probably as fresh as you can possibly get with generous cuts outside the city. Everything down to the miso soup too was delicious - best place to take your friends/family/coworkers for an authentic Japanese meal. Parking lot available out front. Recommend also stopping by Tensuke market nearby after!

We had a great dinner at Kyoto this past weekend!…read more We were visiting the area for sports tournament and were unfamiliar with the area. After a long day outside, my kiddo asked to go to a teppanyaki restaurant (very niche request, but thank goodness for the Yelp app!) We were thrilled to be able to walk-in and the host was able to squeeze us in at the grill table (which was SO kind of her). We sat with some lovely families at the shared hot-top table and enjoyed our dinner immensely - the food was ok, the chef's presentation was good, and I don't think I have seen my kiddos eat so many veggies ever which may be due to the combo of those two. We got the full chef's presentation that you see at other hot top grill restaurants: spinning egg, onion volcano, tossing of the broccoli to the guests, my kids absolutely loved every second. The restaurant was clean and well run, the servers were attentive and kind, even when my youngest kiddo dropped her drink and it spilled on the floor. I couldn't have been more grateful for their kindness and hospitality: from getting us into the restaurant as a walk-in diner, their wonderful service during the meal, and the good dinner. Eating with 2 young kiddos is always a questionable experience as a parent but I have to say, I enjoyed the meal! If we are in Hoffman Estates, we will definitely go back!

When greeted, staff was rude. When seated and told we had to sit at the end of the table, even though we were the only ones in the restaurant. We did not sit there ,we moved to the middle of the table, so my daughter could enjoy the chef and the show they put on. Waiting about 7-10 mins,we still hadn't even been asked about drinks. At this point,my lady is very upset, and rightfully so. She said let's get up and leave ! I agreed, based on the experience so far,I had reason to stay a minute more. We got up and left, walked out the door, and will never return !!!! No wonder this place was empty when we got there, and still empty when we left. I hope a manager reach's out after reading this,so I can give him an earful of" you fucking idiots, treating costumers like this", I hope this place goals out of business, and will do everything I can to help that happen!!!
