This is the second time for me coming to Wokcano after my daughter raved about their Honey Walnut Shrimp. I have to agree with her, it is the best honey walnut shrimp around. Not one of our regular places to eat but the service we received from Madeline was exceptional. It's refreshing to visit a place where service is really valued. I can really appreciate when your server who is obviously very busy still is very friendly and attentive and never seems to be rushing you. Checking in periodically to see if anything is needed, topping off drinks and clearing the table should be standard but so many servers overlook. When the food is really good and the service is wonderful you can add it to your list of keepers. Great job from Madeline! read more

I placed online order and got an email saying it would be ready in 20 minutes. When I arrived, the hostess said it would be a couple more minutes. I ended up waiting a half hour after I arrived for my to go order! This was the second time this has happened! I didn't even get an apology for having to wait so long. Problem..it's loud...very loud especially on the sushi bar side..don't sit there it's more group sitting, Had the shasimi plate. $24...too expensive for the pieces and not cold. Red Tuna..was bad. We love this place, so thought it was time to let the world know. We usually dine at the bar, but have also tried the dining room and the sushi bar. We have never had anything less than excellent service and food. A few of our favorites...Spicy Tuna on Crispy Rice, Garlic Noodles, Black Pepper Beef Mignon, and Spicy Yellowtail Handroll. Our whole neighborhood came together to celebrate 5 birthdays here this past weekend. There were at least 25 of us, most of them couples. The food, drinks and service were good until it came time for the check. Apparently, they would only split it into three separate checks and then passed around a long strip of paper, had people circle what they ordered, pay for it, then removed those items and passed a new strip on to the next person. It took over an hour to get the bill settled and as some people had to leave earlier than others (babysitters, etc.) there was a massive amount of confusion over who ordered what when extra food was still listed at the end. My husband ended up paying for $120 worth of food no one had claimed on TOP of what we did order. There is no reason whatsoever they couldn't have split the checks up and avoided the whole mess. Pure laziness and poor customer service. Do not bring large groups here. I won't be back, large group or not. read more

Wokano used to be one of our favorite places. Unfortunately the last two times we've had dinner the experience hasn't been very pleasant. We went in January with a business associate of my husband's. They were out of several items and much to our dismay our favorite entree the Asian short ribs had been removed from the menu. We decided to try again this past week and the situation was even worse. They only carry 1 light beer now and they were out of the wine my husband ordered. The waitress said they had been out of the wine for two weeks and the only other Cabernet they had was the house.The tuna sushi was tough and looked old. When I started looking around I noticed the restaurant was almost empty at 7:00pm. I wonder if they will be in business much longer:( Our waitress did a good job though. read more

Went here for lunch on a Friday. Wow, talk about a crazy parking lot. It's in a mall, so it was a bit nuts trying to find a parking spot (it was also the day after Christmas, so that had something to do with it too). Service! with as many choices we have in Santa Clarita the taste of food is often not the problem. Our feeling is that when you get amazing Service its as important to report it as if it where bad service. I can gladly say that every experience I have had at this specific Wokcano has been excellent, but today's review is because of MIKE I didn't catch his last name but the service was not good not Great just leaps and bounds higher than what should be expected. I have become a regular at this restaurant because they are super vegan friendly (even though I always order avocado rolls, but I still love the plant-based options) and they always use the ripest avocados!
