The food was edible but the quality and interpretation is completely lacking. We ordered tempura shrimp and they were just basic breaded butterfly shrimp. The chop suey was not like any I have ever had, it was beef with vegetables and bamboo chutes. It was fine but not what I was expecting for chop suey. I ordered straight from the yelp app and had my husband pick up the take out. It's a standard American Chinese menu. I ordered crab Rangoon, spring rolls, lo mein, fried rice, and of course orange chicken. Everything was delicious! Highly recommend this place if you're craving Chinese take out! read more

I've only tried their new Thai menu, but that's only because its so good I have no incentive to order from anything else. Let's be real... Chinese food can be good, but the exotic flavors of Thai (Sweet, spicy, tangy) are on a whole nutha level lol. It's some of the best Thai food I've had and they make so dang much of it, you might feel like you're ripping them off, able to easily feed 2 people with one serving or... 2 hungry pigs whichever. The pad thai with rice noodles is my personal go to, but every dish I've tried has been a winner with the only complaint being a somewhat similar flavor throughout a lot of the dishes. I'd recommend starting with Pad Thai and then just go down the menu. read more

We had a pickup order tonight and were very hopeful. Though it was ready quickly, it definitely wasn't good. My husband got the sesame chicken and said it tasted like it had been sitting out at a buffet. I ordered the teriyaki chicken. It didn't taste like teriyaki. It actually had absolutely no flavor other than the veggies that came with it. We both got fried rice that was extremely dry. Definitely disappointing. read more

Alright! I'm not sure how long this place has been in business over there in the Manhattan Square strip mall, but I'm surprised it doesn't have any reviews! So let me be the first to take a crack at it. What made me pick this place off of the Yelp list over the others that already have reviews was their website (http://www.woknrolloakridge.com/woknrolloakridge/?form=home) I was able to see their entire menu, order online, and pay with a card before I even left the house! From their website it seemed to be a trendy place. I think I was mis-led, but not disappointed. I got there when the generated email confirmation told me to. This place looks like a mom and pop restaurant, but asian style. Not tacky, but very simple and straight forward. There is seating if you want to eat in. They have a buffet, but that wasn't looking so hot. I was hoping my take out order wasn't just scooped from that. For my family, we ordered an orange chicken, garlic beef, house chicken, hot and sour soup, and a spring roll. Here's the breakdown: Orange Chicken: So-so. The kids liked it, but out of the chinese take out boxes it was a bit... mushy? Probably too much corn starch if I had to guess, but it tasted alright. Solid B- Garlic Beef: Same sort of idea as the orange chicken. Decent flavors, the veggies were on point, but too thick and it coated the beef a bit too much for my taste. House Chicken: This was pretty delicious. Their house sauce is a semi-spicy smokey flavor. The chicken had the same sort of mush problem, but not as bad as the other things, and the flavor on this entree was the best. Hot and Sour Soup: This was soooo tasty. It's peppery, so beware of that if you don't like pepper. I don't particularly care for pepper myself, but I found myself really enjoying the slight spice of the pepper with the citrusy flavor in the soup. This was the best thing we had, and we will order this again. Spring Roll: I'm not sure what happened, but I'm pretty sure I got a fried egg roll. I was thinking that since this was a thai joint too that they'd have the nice big cold spring rolls. Maybe they do, but I definitely got an egg roll. Honestly, it's pretty good for a carry out joint. Not a ton of traffic, easy location, and decent prices (Our entire meal was $28 with tip). Thanks wok-n-roll for feeding my family decently on the night I was too lazy to do it myself. read more

Stopped by for lunch, ordered orange chicken myself. My boyfriend ordered some beef meal. My orange chicken had the consistency of mashed potatoes instead of chicken. His beef ended up being pork. Wait staff seemed very snappy. Just pass, there's plenty more places in Oak Ridge to take your business. Trash. read more

I am not a picky person. I like a lot of low grade cheap foods. I will eat at mcdonalds, top ramen etc. I honestly do NOT understand HOW this trash bin is still in buisiness. We, a family of four, went into here extremely hungry and craving asian foods. We go in and not only is there sitting, but some people are dining on the buffet, cool... No. we each asked for a pint of something. They gave us quarts and we paid $40.00. They were not friendly and seemed rather pissed the entire time. We finally decided and ordered. We chose pad thai chicken, mongolian beef and thai fried chicken. The food smelled so great, and we were excited to get home and eat. We quickly served ourselves and were disappointed from the first bite. They did NOT give us chicken in our pad thai but overly fried and watery tasting tofu. It felt like I really was eating an inanimate object and I had to force myself to swallow. Disgusting. The noodles were dried and the only barely noticeable flavor was grease. The pad thai sauce was not even present just some sort of spiciness resided in the bites. Moving on maybe Mongolian beef is good? Someone basically just poured some sort of beef stock juice on it. No mongolian tastes at all. It was edible at least but definitely not asian and still lacking flavor. Finally, we move on to the thai fried rice with chicken. This time there is real chicken and it did not SEEM to be overcooked like most other things. The taste was not there... just salty bland chicken pieces mixed in what looked like rice soaked or cooked in soy and repeatedly microwaved god knows how many times. The rice was atrocious flavorless hard and concerning. All in all we feel ripped off and I honestly am worried that we may have ate poisoned food it was so old and nasty. I do NOT know how this place has ANY good reviews. Please think twice before putting yourself in danger by eating extremely old foods and fake chicken. read more

Normally I would say you can pick only two from the three choices listed here - (Good /Chinese / Buffet) - But at Wok'n'Roll you get all three. The staff is the same every time you go in, they are never slammed in my experience, and will cook anything you ask. I am a big man. I love food, and like to eat. I can go to this place and almost cry over the extremely high quality of the food they serve. I reccomend this place to anyone looking for an AMAZING chinese buffet. Although it is a small restaurant, it is by far the Best of any kind of restaurant in Oak Ridge. Don't miss this one if you are in the ridge! read more

Got dinner here tonight. I ordered takeout, not something the buffet at the time. The szechuan tofu was genuinely good in that way that only cheap Chinese food you were craving can be. Was in the mood for tofu (which nowhere else in town seemed to have) and it was lightly fried all over (just about perfect texture, actually). Big portions, low prices and it was ready in 10 minutes. I've tried Wok n Roll Oak Ridge 3 times in the last year thinking that it will get better, but it's just not up to par. My final straw was when I ordered garlic chicken with broccoli. The chicken was very pale white, with a slimy, mushy and fatty texture. It was absolutely disgusting. We have been going to Wok'n'roll for many years and we love it. They will cook our food exactly to order and we are always happy with what we get. They will make our spicy dishes as spicy as we like and if we want menu items with a bit of a custom twist they are always happy to oblige. This is our favorite Asian cuisine in Oak Ridge. read more
