Went to Wolf for the second time recently. We actually had a better experience the first time we came, which is why we decided to give it another shot, but this visit just didn't live up to it. We started with a mocktail and a martini, both were good and a nice way to kick things off. For appetizers we got the Wolf bread and the crab hush puppies. The bread was honestly one of the best parts of the meal. The hush puppies, though were not great. They had a weird aftertaste and we both felt like maybe the crab quality just wasn't there. We shared the Caesar salad next. It was really good overall, just a little heavy on the dressing for me. It came with a huge Parmesan crisp which was fun. The dressing itself was pretty mild, not super garlicky and no strong anchovy flavor, which I actually liked. There was a bit of a wait for our entrees. About 30 minutes after the salad, our server came over to apologize, and the food came maybe 10 minutes later. We weren't in a rush, so it wasn't a huge deal, and they did give us a free drink which we appreciated. We shared the filet and the risotto. The filet was great, cooked well, and the fries that came with it were really flavorful. The risotto, unfortunately, was a letdown. It was more like plain rice with vegetables on top it was not creamy at all and not what you expect from risotto. It also really needed salt and pepper, which weren't on the table, and by the time someone checked on us we just decided to take it home and fix it ourselves. Our main server was nice but not very attentive. The busser/server assistant was super sweet and honestly did most of the work. Overall, for the price point, the experience just didn't really match up this time. Even though our first visit was better, it wasn't enough to make us want to come back again. We've had much better meals (and service) at the Vanderpump restaurants in Vegas. read more

I want to start with all the positives. The food was amazing loved the Wolf Bread and the filet. Goat cheese balls are great as is the small garden salad. The decor is stunning and there's something fun to look at no matter where you sit. Our waitress herself was so kind and attentive and personable she was really amazing. The bad: The hosts were incredibly rude. To the point where I was shocked. We got to our reservation 8 minutes early and were literally frowned upon then told we had to come back at our correct time as our table wasn't ready and told to us leave (acting we were like an hour early or something). We came back at our correct time, got in line and then the new host ignored us and even helped other guests who cut ahead of us without acknowledging us. When I finally said I was concerned we would lose our reservation I was told "oh we've been waiting for you" like I was dumb and should know this. I explained what happened and didn't get a real response or apology. They then sat us at a table near an open door that was blasting cold outside air constantly and honestly... it felt intentional. Luckily the wait staff were great and made sure the door was shut but it just didn't feel great. Would I come back? Probably. But I really hope they're nicer at the host stand next time. If you disagree with the rating, hear out my rationale. If I'm rating the atmosphere and vibe, it's 5 stars. If I'm rating the experiential aspect, including plating and presentation, I'll go 4 stars because while there are some stunning and novel elements, a lot of what they do to elevate isn't original or unique, which is what I anticipated when coming here, specifically in the cocktails. If I'm rating the service, it's a 4-5. Servers are friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and willing to be there as you need. If I'm rating the cocktails, I'm going 3.5 stars. While some were absolutely beautiful, I didn't find the drinks themselves to be as refined or complex as I expected from the menu description. In addition, the Sheep's clothing drink arrived with a sticky stem and glass two separate time, which feels like poor execution, and at the price point there isn't room for that. I felt the same about the spirit selections for many of the cocktails on the menu, in that the choice didn't match the price. If you're charging a premium it needs to be a premium drink, not just in terms of how it looks. $24 for a Dewar's cocktail? A Rittenhouse old fashioned at $19? A house old fashioned is $15, which isn't bad by most standards today, but $4 to call the spirit, which in this case is an inexpensive retail bottle of rye? Unnecessary. And if I'm rating this on food (it is a restaurant after all), I can't get past a three. Everything is beautifully presented but overall, the menu lacks interesting dishes and culinary originality. You've got sliders, boneless wings, ahi tartare, dips and spreads, a $16 bread, and of course, the chips and caviar, just so you can live out your extra ness. We tried the smoked boneless wings, which were good nuggets of actual fried chicken (a + for sure) but smoke was more an aroma than a flavor because the sauce was like Frank's red hot and it washed it away. Removing the glass cloche they were smoking in is hackneyed too. We had the prime rib sliders which were basic at best. Larger than I expected, with two per order, but again, nothing special in the flavor or presentation. Same could be said about the ahi tartare. For dinner I had the shrimp with calamareneta pasta. I'd never heard of this pasta but it looks just like rings of a calamari, and it had a great texture. The Argentine red shrimp were mushy and a bit fishy and the spicy tomato sauce was just that, spicy and acidic without balance. A disappointment overall. We also had a filet and that was under seasoned, small, thin, and disappointing. To sum it up... if you want to experience an epic vibe and over the top atmosphere, and you're cool with pricey drinks and average eats, then make a reservation and enjoy. If you're in Tahoe and you just want to party and throwdown, this could be your spot too. My expectations at celebrity restaurants are always the same, over hyped by social media in photos and videos and mediocre, and that's what I found here. For me, this is a one and done. read more

We came here for after-dinner cocktails and Feyza did a great job taking care of us. The ambiance in here is off the charts - the decor is so beautiful and so much to see. There are pages and pages of cocktails and I went with the Espresso Martini, and it did not disappoint. It even came with its own extra dessert - that chocolate cookie in particular was amazing. Reservations are highly recommended, we were here promptly at 6 for our seating the atmosphere is exciting the room is filled with...ah, I'll let you discover it yourself. This is a place where your eyes wander about the room, constantly discovering a new something or a what's that, it's pretty cool. We were as at a well placed round four top, a well sized marble table with heavy but comfortable chairs. My brother and I felt the chairs were too high or the table was too low, either way we got used to it. M was thrilled as the short one it was perfect. I did notice other tables had various chairs verses table so ask to be moved if you're not comfortable. Our table service was executed by Luke perfectly, he was fun and knowledgeable. Now I enjoy trying new and different foods and combinations, the reason why I choose new and unfamiliar restaurants. Cocktails, original and artistically creative, as well as traditional. The wine list was extensive. The menu was varied but certainly not overwhelming, everything was fresh, well executed. This is what we enjoyed, signature wolf bread, lobster ceviche crisps, red prawn & chili pasta, pan roasted chilean sea bass, and a 6z grilled beef filet. I really wanted to fall in love with this place but it just didn't seem right. First off, located in Harvey's. Which seems a bit off for the crowd. Granted, this could attract new crowds! The ambiance in the restaurant itself is amazing yet somehow so over the top. The attention to detail is great, but I feel as though LVP went over the top with this location (I have visited her restaurants in LA). I was with a large group and we decided to order a bunch of snacks vs individual dishes. We enjoyed the apps, the wolf bread was so good we ordered a second one. The cocktails are EXPENSIVE. Get ready for Vegas prices in South Lake. I will say, I was promised that my cocktail was not sweet at all and it was extremely sweet for my taste, the server was adamant that I order something else to be sure I had a good experience. If you are looking for the ultimate food and drink experience, you gotta visit WOLF. The only reason I put 4 stars is that it's a bit pricey, which is to be expected. Reservations are a must. We stood in line for over an hour to sit at the bar. The decor is amazing. You walk in the wolf's den and you are transported to another place. From the candelabra at the entrance to the wolf cage..every little detail blew my mind. The bartender made great drinks and the food was really good. Do not go here. Their menu says one thing and they give you another. We ordered the Cheese Please which looks beautiful on Instagram and below is what we got. Two types of blue cheese a chive cheese and 3 types of salami. No nuts, no olives, crackers, gerkins or any diversity. This was obviously left over hotel and salad cheese. When we asked the server about the difference she brought us out some nuts in a quarter measuring cup and some tomatoes and said she hoped this made up the difference. Drinks that said they would have gold flakes (The Gold Water/Gold Rush) didn't have any. We also ordered shots and the menu said $10 and we were charged $20 per shot. I have called and email the establishment multiple times and no one will get back to me. The experience was amazing. The decor was very Instagram worthy. The service was friendly and the food was amazing. We had the goat cheese balls which everyone said was the best, we got the pull apart bread which was very rich but not as good as the goat cheese. The hickory smoked wings were a little hard and there were no bones and seemed more like popcorn chicken. It came in a smoked filled container so very instagramable. Everyone's drinks were very tasty and had an amazing presentation. I got the Peter rabbit drink and it had a little carrot on it which was very cute. The drinks were strong but you could not tell. I booked the earliest weekend available and itt was 2-3 months out, for a 4:30 dinner. Being next to Hells kitchen, I feel like I was slightly comparing it. And feeling that they should be at par with each other. Like I said, food was good, but not amazing. I feel like my drink experience and food experience were at different rating neighborhoods. While waiting for your food, your eyes can't help but wander around. It's a gorgeous place.... Very intricate and detailed. Noise levels could be on the loud side at 4pm. Scott was our server on 2/27 for my family it was a large group of us and he handled everything so gracefully helped us with our food choices and he was always checking in on us, I know handling a larger group can be overwhelming but he really handled us with grace and was very attentive. Arrived in Tahoe and my lady demanded that we go here. Made a reservation and even though we entered early we weren't sat for about 10 minutes. But that's nothing against the place it was very busy. I actually believe they may be a tad understaffed. Charlie was our server. He tried his best to keep up and even though we saw him run around continuously he did manage to do a pretty epic job of giving our table attention. We were sat, and were given a BUNCH of time to peruse the menu over before we were asked our drink or food preferences. The decor is very nice the chair is something my grandmother would have kept plastic over. The napkins even had a nice little wolf on them. The drinks were slightly pricey but my lady insists they were worth it. The look of the place definitely exceeded what Tahoe restaurants typically look like. We had the tuna appetizer, the salmon plate and the colossal shrimp tacos. The tuna tartare tostadas came with pomegranates which was very yummy but the seeds were a tad annoying. W O W! My friend is a huge Vanderpump Rules fan and we just had to stop by for a drink. We got lucky and were able to walk in for a seat off to the side. FYI if you want a reservation plan MONTHS ahead. We were seated quickly and just wanted a quick drink before dinner. This restaurant is BEAUTIFUL. We had an amazing birthday dinner with Jesslyn as our waitress for the night. We met our friends from Idaho who were there staying at a timeshare across the street (Grand Residence by Marriott). I never knew about the restaurant and found it on Yelp. They are dog-friendly with great reviews so we chose this as a good place for our birthday meeting. I started with an espresso martini which was really good. I had the shrimp tacos, my friend had the lobster salad, and another friend had the prime rib sliders. Everyone enjoyed their meal. My husband had the ragu pasta, which was incredible! Highly recommend. Jesslyn knew it was our birthdays, and she brought two desserts for the birthday folks to share. Prime Rib Sliders - 5/5 Absolutely delicious! The prime rib sliders were juicy, perfectly seasoned, and served on soft, fresh buns. Each bite was packed with flavor, and they were definitely the highlight of the meal. Highly recommend these if you visit! Crab Cakes - 0/5 Extremely disappointing. The crab cakes had no flavor whatsoever -- bland, mushy, and definitely not worth the price. I expected something fresh and flavorful, but these fell completely flat. Save your money and skip these. Wagyu "Raygu" - 3/5 The flavor was actually really good, but the portion of the meat was tiny for the $36 price tag. It felt more like a tasting portion than an actual dish. While I enjoyed the taste, I wouldn't order it again because it just didn't feel like a good value. Ambiance - 5/5 The atmosphere was fantastic! Beautiful setting, great vibes, and a perfect spot for a nice night out. The space felt upscale but still comfortable. Birthday/Special Occasion Policy One thing to note: If you're going for a birthday, don't expect them to offer a complimentary dessert or any special gesture. The only reason I'm giving them two stars, is not because of the average food that they charge double price for, but because of the service and the way I was treated when I walked into the door. I didn't know a Starbucks barista was going to be judging me by my cowboy hat; and not even acknowledge me or ask me if I want to eat and dine. After I sat in the makeshift dungeon looking like a Hollywood film set as a restaurant. I enjoyed a Smashburger, the waitress was actually nice and gave me some ranch that I guess is hidden under lock and key there because they don't want to give it to you. All in all food was OK, ambience was a bit much, service was horrible. I suggest going across the street to Harris, the steakhouse on the roof or next-door to the Irish pub they'll treat you a little bit better. Tell them I sent you. read more

We also got the giant shrimp tacos which were solid as well. We ordered a pumptini, and a black bear cocktail. They were both strong and delicious. Our server, Aaron, was attentive, kind and professional. You can tell the support staff work really well together which is always an asset. As you'd expect, the ambiance was extra as f*ck! I loved it so much. Great vibes. Things are a bit pricier but you're paying for the experience not just the food. Treat yourself girlies!!!! Such a fun little date night. Wolf by Vanderpump has been getting a lot of hype, so naturally I had to check it out. We had a reservation (definitely recommend having one for a weekend visit). But you can get bar seating with a reservation. Let's start with ambiance: The vibe is maximalist and fun. Decor is truly an experience and the playlist was great. Now, as a plus size person, I wish we hadn't been sat at a high-top table. The seats were TINY and very uncomfortable. They have more plus size friendly seating at the bar than at the table. Service: Staff was super friendly and kind. They gave great recommendations, and answered questions. And appropriately attentive. Our waitress didn't hover but had good awareness when we'd new cocktail. That said, service felt rushed. Like they were trying to get people in and out. Now, this is great if you are in fact trying to get a quick meal--but not great if you're hoping to savor your cocktail and each others company. Food: Food was really tasty. Honestly, when I go back, I'll probably just go for cocktails and appetizers vs the full meal. I'd still be satisfied and order some things that feel more "special." read more

We previously came here about a week or so after the opening, and the food was amazing but the service was meh. Our waiter at that time had kept forgetting to put in our drink orders and food. 4 months later, this time they really have it dialed in! We were so impressed with how much the service improved. Our server, Santiago, was amazing! He kept checking on us, brought all of our food out under 20 mins from when it was ordered, and continuously made sure we had water. On top of that, he was so nice and kind. We could not have asked for a better experience this time to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. We were too full for dessert but everything looked delicious. First things first: $50 corkage is INSANE!! How is that a thing??? That aside, we just had a lovely experience tonight. Ambiance is dark, warm, and cozy. Was seated in a really comfortable chair - (not a cheap metal chair with no support like so many restaurants today). Service was friendly, attentive, but not intrusive. She happily offered us a dessert for our wedding anniversary. Goat Cheese balls were delicious and surprisingly balanced. My fish and chips were generous, delicious, and perfectly cooked. First off, yes, I love Bravo and I love, Lisa and Ken! I have been to all of their restaurants, when I lived in SoCal, etc., and my honest opinion I think Wolf is the best one yet! The artwork here is amazing, the spinning giant crystal chandeliers, and just the ornate detail of every part of this restaurant! If you know, Lisa, you know that all of her restaurants are decorated very beautifully. I was in Tahoe for my birthday and I decided to stop by this restaurant the day before just so I can check out some of the cocktails and apps. Honestly, speaking, the apps are so big that you can only eat one if you are by yourself and it is like a meal! I had the Peter rabbit drink, made with tequila and some other yummy mixers, and even comes with a tiny little baby carrot which was cute to discover at the end. I also ordered prime rib sliders, and the bartender was so nice. She told me I might only want to order two as the portions were very big and they did not disappoint! I came back from my birthday and I ended up ordering a margarita, I will put it below. It also came with some gold flakes, which was cute and I ended up ordering the big bad wolf just because and it was very tasty, a little pricey, I think it was $27. I had shrimp tacos for my dinner and there were really good, very big portion and tasty! They also brought me a very nice little chocolate dessert at the end! For what I paid. Nothing about this meal was appetizing. It was not edible. The Salmon had too much lemon. None of the meals had any flavor. We left hungry and disappointed. It was pretty. But flavorless. Even the staff seemed upset. read more

We made reservations here for my birthday and boy am I glad we did! The line to enter the restaurant without a reservation was winding around the corner! We were seated promptly at our reservation time and the hostesses were kind and greeted us happily. All of the hostesses and servers that we came into contact with wished me a happy birthday which was appreciated. The decor inside is absolutely stunning. It gives off a mountain chic vibe with extravagant touches such as rotating chandeliers. There is so much to take in and I really love how the seating is not uniform throughout. It is beautifully done! Our server Katie was on top of her game. She checked on us often and even advocated at the bar for us to get our drinks promptly despite the bar being absolutely packed. She made some great cocktail recommendations and I tried the Dirty Dog which is an everything-bagel martini. It was well done and complimented by stuffed olives and a thin piece of toasted everything bagel. They have a decent selection of spirits available and my husband got his favorite scotch on the rocks. There were gorgeous drinks being taken to other tables including some adorned with cotton candy and some even being smoked as they were carried to the tables. For starters, we tried the famous goat cheese balls. They were delicious and up to expectation. The app was served with a delicious slaw and a honey sauce. The fresh crunch of the slaw paired with the goat cheese very well. It was delicious! For our mains, my husband and I split the Wagyu Ragu and a New York Strip. The pasta was to-die-for and the steak was cooked to perfection! We were very happy we split the dishes and they complimented each other well. For dessert, they have some delicious options and that includes some dessert cocktails. They served us a yummy raspberry chocolate mousse as the birthday dessert and it was divine! read more

The ambiance is so fun! The decor is very fun and what you'd expect. Service is also nice. Although if you try to call for any questions it's nearly impossible to reach someone. Also we asked if we could bring our dog and they says no but after seeing dogs in the restaurant we asked again and got told yes. Don't come for the food. It's not good and the drinks are too sweet. read more

We did a take out order, cancelled our table, just ate in the suite. We had lobster crisps, ahi tartare tostadas, garden greens salad, red prawn & chili pasta, and wolf bread. All of the food was quite good, although other than the prawn pasta dish, pretty small portions. Did like the wolf bread, was unique (albeit high calorie!), and the prawn pasta dish probably the most. Service was fast and friendly. This one is for my Vanderpump girlies! Wolf is located in the Harvey's casino in Tahoe, next to Hell's Kitchen. My bf knows I'm a Vanderpump fan, so he made us a rezzie for our anniversary. The restaurants decor gave enchanted forest vibes and I was totally into it. We were sat immediately after checking in. Every table decorated differently with luxurious seats. The menu is minimal with great options. First things first, THE GOAT CHEESE BALLS. They were everything I imagined them to be and the sweet sauce made it the perfect balance. We also ordered the ahi tartare tostadas, probably could've gone without the pomegranate seeds but still fresh. Next the entrees, my bf ordered the New York strip with a tasty touch of rosemary blue cheese crema. I ordered the herb dusted salmon, it was a little dry but surprisingly good with the garbanzo beans. Last thing, the dessert. We had a tough time choosing which one we wanted, I wish we chose something different because the cinnamon rolls were a bit over baked. They didn't melt in my mouth like I feel a cinnamon roll should. Overall, it was a great experience! I'd recommend at least going once. read more

We had a reservation for dinner. Evan was our server for the night and he was AMAZING. He was recommending us what to drink and eat but in a very cozy and friendly way! We had a wonderful time with him and we could tell he was supper sincere the food was amazing and delicious. Drinks were fantastic.
