We walked in, ordered three pizzas and were out the door with three hot pizzas in about 20 minutes. A noble accomplishment given they had toppings that would require work before going on the pizzas. But, about those pizzas....... They were freaking great. If you find yourself in Wolfeboro, you will be doing yourself a solid coming here. Next time I'm up, I'll have to try the subs. They are so friendly and nice here! I got a MASSIVE steak tip sub which was delicious. I ate it there, because I figured it would not travel well. Maybe don't do this one for takeout unless you get the toppings separate from the bread. It was extremely well put together, everything was distributed beautifully and the bread was really good. Everyone I've ever interacted with has been very friendly both in person and on the phone. Inside is small, but there's a couple tables if one wanted to eat inside. My visit to this place is the perfect example of yet another Yelp success story. My husband and I were in town on a short vacation and I was dying for pizza. So I did a search for gluten-free pizza in the area and thankfully Wolfgang's popped up. We went in on a Thursday night and placed an order to go. We ordered a gluten-free pizza with extra cheese, mushrooms, broccoli and garlic. The guy working behind the counter was very nice and very knowledgeable about the gluten-free crust and explained that they couldn't really do extra cheese on a gluten-free pizza because the crust was so thin but he would put his much cheese on it as he possibly could (always music to my ears). It turns out that the pizza was amazing! There was just the right amount of cheese and other toppings, and all of the vegetables were cooked perfectly. The garlic was minced and hidden under the cheese, which was a nice surprise. The herb crust was also unique and very tasty. I'm already planning our visit when we come back next year! The chicken was good so I ordered it again and it had a weird texture so I assumed that it was just like a ligament or piece of chicken thigh in the chicken. Later that night I woke up in horrible pain throwing up. I'm pretty sure that the chicken was partially raw. I live in Wolfeboro and I personally think this is the best place in town to get food. The service is very good and the food is amazing. The cheddar cheese jalapeño poppers are so good and this is like the only place in town that sells them i'm obsessed. Service is outstanding and friendly! Now the food--it is fantastic for take-out or dine-in. I am a native New Yorker and while the pizza is not like my region, it is delicious in its own right! My family and I have had the veggie which was unique with the addition of eggplant and the gyro pizza which merged our love of two greats! Traditional cheese pizza always makes an appearance, too. We have also had subs which were equally amazing. A bonus for this place is the gluten free pizza which our friends rave about as well. Wolfgangs is great! At first I thought it might be a little pricey until we got our first order. The portion size is above average, enough to share. The food quality is outstanding with very fresh ingredients. The staff is wonderful and very accommodating and helpful. The atmosphere is great! I was doing some work up here and stopped in. First mistake. I asked what was popular and what they recommended. I got "everything" as a reply. I had the buffalo chicken sub. The buffalo sauce was gross it tasted like flavored ketchup and there was way to much of it. The chicken itself was average at best. Best part of the meal was the chips and soda. read more

The food here is very good and reasonably consistent. I've had their pizza, calzones, and various appetizers over the years. They are always experimenting with new things, from crusts, to sandwiches, to appetizers. The only downsides I would say is that it's really hot inside so I'd recommend ordering and picking up or delivery. The other downside (if you see it that way) is that they often overstuff the sandwiches whereby it's not as good and costs slightly more because of the extra food. I think they'd benefit from putting less meat in some of the sandwiches and charging a lower price. They are a little higher than the norm for pricing, but still a great value because of what you get. read more

On our way to Abenaki, it was a toss up between this unknown pizza place and the one across the street. So glad we chose this one! Everything was excellent-they put much more attention into their subs than anyone else I've seen lately, other than Giovanni's back at home. I had a steak and cheese and onion, and it was stuffed full. Not one speck of fat either, which is so very hard to find with a steak and cheese! My husband had a meatball sub and said it was the best he's ever had-again, stuffed full, with homemade meatballs, not thawed out bouncy meat like most places. I tried it, and yes it was delicious. My son had a bacon and veggie, and not only was it overstuffed, but the bacon was cooked perfectly crisp, with no flabby fatty meat anywhere. He also raved that it was the best sub he's ever had...even better than Subway he said, which is the little guy's favorite fast food in the whole world. The sub rolls were enormous for a "small", and very tasty, especially toasted. We also got an order of onion rings expecting the typical frozen ones, but they were huge beer battered rings instead. The owner and the other man behind the counter were extremely pleasant, and the price was a great value. We will definitely be stopping here again when we are in the area. This is a pizza joint, not a five star restaurant, but it's great for what it is. DH and I have been staying in Wolfeboro since late August and have run in here a couple of times. He has celiac disease and Wolfgang's has gluten free crust - A+ for having it and DH gave it the thumbs up. He also had the steak tip dinner on another visit and enjoyed that too. Tips were seasoned well and good fries. I've had the greek pizza on the standard crust (very tasty) and the gyro (pita) sandwich - excellent. The onions weren't too strong, pita was soft and pillowy, and meat and yogurt sauce perfect. Highly recommended. Have only had a pizza and some fried mushrooms here - pizza was run-of-the mill. Nothing special about it. Crust is thick and bread-like. Fried mushrooms were not good - very heavy, very thick batter. So much so that you can't taste the mushrooms at all. There are much better options in the area for good pizza.
